I’m not sure if anyone explained the BTS storyline that runs through the earlier mvs. It’s amazing and totally worth watching. It starts with their vid ‘I NEED U (19+ version). This vid is near the end of the storyline.

Omggg I actually felt what u said when u said u felt emotional about music! I'm a musician myself and this specific song as well made me emotional and I Literally wanted to cry! From the music to the actual storyline of BTS's music in general. I believe every Kpop group has a storyline and Bts has one of the most interesting ones and their music speaks from the heart and that's why I love them so much. The whole concept of this song is actually "Boy Meets Evil". The boy is Jin and V portrays evil, hence making him the devil. The reason why they kept saying "more" & "more" is because of greediness & temptation. When Jin kissed the statue, that portrayed his temptation. That is also why Jin's face shattered at the end of the video. It's the price (his blood, sweat, & tears) that he needs to pay for letting temptation take over him.

there's a whole slew of theories and analyses on this video; my interpretation of it is twofold: 1) it's an abstract representation of what's happening in the "Bangtan Universe" aka the overarching story BTS tells in a lot of their music videos (and their highlight reels, prologues, and short films), starting with I Need U which is, by my knowledge, the first MV to explicitly show the core characters of the story rather than an abstract version. you're partially right. its about the loss of innocence and growing into your true self and becoming enlightened by embracing your darker sides and the nuances of being an adult. Jin, the eldest of the group, is standing between the black and white doors and is conflicted. the museum is Jin's psyche and taehyung, the demon, is a representation of the darkness, that a part of Jin. so when he looks in the mirror he realizes this fact and sees a crack in his perfect face. He's growing up and acknowledging a darkness in him.

They have come a long way & have worked sooo hard to be #1....and they are. Every single one of their songs is sooo good. I've just seen your reaction videos. Welcome to the Army. I would suggest you find a few videos from their beginnings. Their sound which is more popularized now was founded with them.They even consult specialists to make sure their lyrics are inclusive. Individually they are fantastic together as a family you won't find better talent. Considering the youngest Jk was 13when they started and 15when they debuted and the oldest Jin was 18 I think. They all had to sleep in 1small room and share beds. They were basically outcasts because they signed with bighit. A very small company. You may have see all this by now since its been a year. If not please do. Your life will only be brighter for it. Also so far I'm loving your reactions. You put your full attention to it and go in-depth full tilt with it. The whole concept of this song is actually "Boy Meets Evil". The boy is Jin and V portrays evil, hence making him the devil. The reason why they kept saying "more" & "more" is because of greediness & temptation. When Jin kissed the statue, that portrayed his temptation. That is also why Jin's face shattered at the end of the video. It's the price (his blood, sweat, & tears) that he needs to pay for letting temptation take over him.
Wow! You're a smart cookie. Another ARMY has already mentioned that this was inspired from the book Demian, but involves all the temptations and life choices we've faced during our youth and rebellious ages. Those reckless times still contribute to our most beautiful moments in life (BTS album).
there's a whole slew of theories and analyses on this video; my interpretation of it is twofold:
1) it's an abstract representation of what's happening in the "Bangtan Universe" aka the overarching story BTS tells in a lot of their music videos (and their highlight reels, prologues, and short films), starting with I Need U which is, by my knowledge, the first MV to explicitly show the core characters of the story rather than an abstract version. Jin (the one who kisses the statue) is the main/POV character.
2) it's about temptation and self-destruction masked by indulgence and euphoria, with Jin either sacrificing himself at the end ("making a deal with the devil") to save his friends, or succumbing to temptation and falling down the self-destructive path as well

you're partially right. its about the loss of innocence and growing into your true self and becoming enlightened by embracing your darker sides and the nuances of being an adult. Jin, the eldest of the group, is standing between the black and white doors and is conflicted. the museum is Jin's psyche and taehyung, the demon, is a representation of the darkness, that a part of Jin. so when he looks in the mirror he realizes this fact and sees a crack in his perfect face. He's growing up and acknowledging a darkness in him.

They have come a long way & have worked sooo hard to be #1....and they are. Every single one of their songs is sooo good. If you learn more about them, you will learn to truly appreciate each one's individual voice and all their talent combined. And they are really classy, good guys, who are always spreading the message of love.

I've just seen your reaction videos. Welcome to the Army. I would suggest you find a few videos from their beginnings. Their sound which is more popularized now was founded with them.They even consult specialists to make sure their lyrics are inclusive. Individually they are fantastic together as a family you won't find better talent. Considering the youngest Jk was 13when they started and 15when they debuted and the oldest Jin was 18 I think. They all had to sleep in 1small room and share beds. They were basically outcasts because they signed with bighit. A very small company. You may have see all this by now since its been a year. If not please do. Your life will only be brighter for it. Also so far I'm loving your reactions. You put your full attention to it and go in-depth full tilt with it.
