What I have found helpful is watch this with my study book open, find other examples of TH-cam videos, read the example in my book, and then go to your lecture once I’m done with the section. Seems to be providing a great study regiment.

For SIE if you are bullish you buy stock (buy the stock low and sell the high) and if you are bearish you sell the stock stock short (sell the stock high and buy the stock low). There are only two positions at a brokerage firm. They are long positions which are created by doing an opening purchase. The other are short positions which are created by doing an opening sale.
There is test questions about program disclosure. There is test questions about the official statement. Program disclosures would be about 529s and LGIPs. Official Statement is the prospectus like document used in underwriting municipal bonds.
The fourth market is direct trading between institutions. The third market is listed securities traded OTC. OTC markets are negotiated quote driven markets. Exchange markets are auction order driven markets.

For the political contributions section you mentioned around 9:00, I was reading from another source that you can donate $350 per election cycle to a candidate if you can vote for them, and $150 per election cycle to a candidate if you cannot vote for them. Has that rule changed in the last year or so?
Hi Dean, I failed my SIE by 3 points last week, I wish I found you sooner prior to my first test but I wanted to ask. I had a few questions on Beta coefficients and I was lost figuring out what those were. Is there a section you have that talks about those?
Beta is a measurement of a stock or mutual fund's volatility as compared to the market. It is a definitional answer. A very strange or add draw to even get Beta on the SIE and even more odd or strange to get more than one.
@@Series7Guru very interesting. I remember one question went something like “if the beta coefficient is greater than 1.0 is the interest rate. Increasing, decreasing, or staying the same. And I fully guessed in the dark

If I have two different accounts with different account numbers and the firm goes into SIPC liquidation that is one account for SIPC purposes. You are turning what should be an aim and shoot, point and click question into a judgement that will not be on your exam.

All corporate securities, stocks and bonds, are T+2. Very testable. Municipals are also T+2. Options and Treasuries are T+1

It is T + 1 for US Government Securities & Option Contracts and T + 2 for Corporate and Municipal Securities.
