Everything you do is magic, Rebecca. Love the mirrors and love that you painted the crown moulding since they were distracting so dark. Now can you please have Colton do more projects around the house 🤣
Rebecca, you picked the perfect spot to film this video. The stairs, entrance, and you, my friend, look spectacular! It's amazing how much painting out the wood lightened up the space. I never noticed the lack of natural light in this space. Christmas is going to knock our socks off! 😂❤❤❤❤

The staircase is magnificent and the garage turned out so well. Thank you for all of the tips! I think being mindful of the seasonal conditions was most helpful to me. It's mosquito city and above 95 degrees almost everyday this time of year where I live.

I guess I'll be the lone wolf on this one and say I prefer the historical wooden foyer of the home. I think your foyer now looks like everyone else's foyer. Almost like, not quite, like new construction. I would have refinished and restained the stairs and millwork so it wasn't so dark. But if it was driving you crazy, I get it. You need to love your space and that's all that matters in life. It's all good.
I think the two shades of wood are odd on the stairs. Your home...just odd to me.

I painted both staircases in my 1929 home and loved it!!!! I was like you Rebecca, they were just way too dark! They were really an accident waiting to happen, everything looked the same and at night you couldn't even see the individual steps! Your foyer looks spectacular!!! I'm so excited to see what you do for Christmas this year!!! I know it's gonna be great!!! The garage reorganization was awesome as well!!! You've gotta love it when everything is sorted and labeled. Oh, and I loved, loved, loved your floral blouse!!! I'm partial to lilies (daylilies specifically)!💖

The open shelves will be a thick dust and grime, requiring so much cleaning and ruining your stuff. A hard no.
I like the staircase painted . It makes the house have some much light. I have to have light in my house so it won’t feel so heavy.

Avon’s skin so soft repels insects. They used to make it with SPF but I don’t know any long
Plus it helps moisturize your skin

When I organize varied items, ( not all the same category), to keep track of what’s where, I actually place items as if I were shopping at WalMart, it makes it so much easier to go to the items I want.
I love it!! Sometimes painting wood is definitely the way to go!

I tuned in cause mine is nightmare Morphin into a sequel. You gave me good ideas. You have an awesome heavy duty table to work from or cut large item etc. The distance from the floor to the first shelf is empty. Consider buying bins that fit that space and put all the cans and paints in them, labelled by color and your table is accessible.
❤❤❤❤❤ the new look of your hallway entrance and white certainly gives it a wow and especially with last yrs mirror installation feeling plus I like how you made the timber rail lighter..clever as you are who would have known to use a grey tone lacquer to keep the handle rail lighter. I'm glad you redid your shed as you we have to do it it too...only thing is we need to squeeze 2 extra fridges and vertical freezer too ummm...plus all the Christmas items too...🙏 it will fit now...❤❤❤❤❤

Hey, use cinnamon water, if you'd like to add a bit of oil or alcohol no prob, but soak the cinnamon stick in warm water as a bug repellent, add cinnamon in any candle and it will repel mosquitoes

It's been so rainy here lately in Connecticut. Plus, the humidity is like the tropics! Mosquitos love it and me as well! 😒

The new makeover of the stairs looks happier, a joyful vive. If I have space in my small NY apt. of course, I would organize my tools y crafts in a better way. Your garage looks fantastic! Thank for showing it.
Rebecca, your stairwell mirror treatment is genius! And your painting choices are a perfect balance. I think the mirrors add such a sense of space, light and drama that it would be well worth factoring in its expense when purchasing or remodeling a similar house. I imagine it is not only beautiful but a sound investment, rare for a decorative item.

Personally, I believe a gorgeous all wood entry requires a very sizable space, natural light, often in a large window and somewhat lighter wood tones to achieve a traditional rather than oppressive look.

Holly wow the entry! The dark Crown molding was really chopping up the room visually IMO. What a difference just goes to show you a little paint can go along way. From dark drab and dungeon like to light bright and inviting. Great job Rebecca super excited for Christmas decor.
