I made this little pattern for an envelope but had no clue how to put it together with the right side of the fabric coming out. This video explained it all to me. Thanks for that! 2:19
Thank you for your wonderful tutorial. I made this in Christmas fabric to be used as gift packaging for my husband. I really enjoyed making this and I will be making lots more.😃❤️
Agreed. It's a great project but one-sided fabric would have been better for demo. She put the right sides/outer sides facing together for the first bottom stitch.
You make it look very easy! Nice work. I do not have a sewing machine, can I use glue? I am a newbie but not started yet. Looking at everyone's technique!
You can used any fabric that you are comfortable sewing with. I used 100% cotton for the first one I made. The thicker fabric you use, the more shape it will have but it might be harder to sew through all of the layers.
any fabric can be used if your machine sews thru it. I also would suggest using a 101 interfacing, which you press on to the fabric ...on the back of the fabric before cutting.
Assun- DIY - there is something wrong with the first step joining that is the bottom area which should not be join in the 1st place. (BLACK CHECK HAND BAG)

Has anyone figured out which is the right side or wrong side to the fabric when
I had to tear mine apart and start over.
She starts with outers facing each other. Hope that helps
Julia Kilpatrick you obviously start with right sides together when sewing first seam but get what you mean

Hi
Should have used fabric with right and wrong sides. I had to tear it apart.

(BLACK CHECK HAND BAG)
perhaps that is why i can't turn it out
in the very first step, you leave a gap in the stitching so you can turn it inside out.
Yes, the gap wasnt too clear but you must leave a gap in the middle when stitching the first stitch so you can pull it through.
Wow
