I want to ask you something, doc. Because of pandemic, the health ministry in my home country just cut the periode of internship from 1 year to only 9 months. What do you think? And what should I do? Am I still able to apply for GMC Registration after done taking PLAB 1&2? Thank you 😊
Hi, sorry to hear that. Best to check with the GMC directly regarding this for a definite answer.
No, You can't , You must have completed 12 month internship (not less than 365 days), then you are allowed for GMC registration. however they may cange this if they consider pandemic, but they didn't announced any official notice regarding this.

Yes brexit will impact European IMGs. I think Asian countries like India, Malaysia, Pakistan etc.

Hello! Could you provide some information regarding EU doctors how want yo move after brexit. Do you think that brexit may has pronounced impacts on eu doctor registration process. Yes, the same. But you might be asked to ask to cover different wards.
How many leaves do you get in a year...or in a perticular time period???🥺
NHS doctors normally get 27 days annual leave per year plus the 8 public holidays. Do note you can't take all of the annual leave in one stretch.

I am a final year MBBS student from India and I want to do my higher studies in the UK, I am inclined towards Anaesthesia. What am I supposed to do after I pass my PLAB 2? I couldn't find any guide for Anaesthesia specifically, do I study in a hospital or college. Thanks!
The pathway to specialise in UK is different compared to other countries. UK doctors don't normally do PG degree/masters/MD to specialise and become a consultant. We do the specialty training programme to specialise. Specialty training is not conducted by a university. It is not a MD/degree/masters. After completing specialty training in UK, you will get a Certificate of completion of training (CCT). It is not a degree/MD/masters. Not sure if it is valid/recognised overseas.

I want to know that after doing MCI nd Internship in india if I can do MRCS?
And what level would i be after that? Specialty training (ST3)??
Best to do MRCS during core surgical training (CST) (2 years). To enter ST3 higher surgical training, you need to complete core surgical training CST (2 years) and MRCS. MRCS alone is not enough to enter or work as an ST3 doctor.
