Greatly appreciated! I’m always interested in any competitive deck that is budget. I don’t want to spend 200-500 on a deck that is going to change in 3 months, and I love with this game that there are so many powerful cards that are super cheap. Greatly appreciate all the competitive budget content!
I played this deck extensively and i find it just really balanced. With Pinocchio, crab merlin, smash, etc you really have an answer to all the meta cards, including locations. And i just love the Simba card, it feels like a more exotic cheap version of Tinkerbell with some card draw, it's really cool. i replace one simba with Stouthearted Cinderella but i get Cinderella is less bugdet friendly. I had queens castles laying about so I swapped out the Donald and it is working wonderfully! Putting down the castle turn 5 or 6 and moving your characters makes your opponent waste all their resources stopping the castle or risk falling behind on card advantage into the late the game which was usually enough for an opponent to concede.
I like the budget deck videos. My local meta includes lots of low investment Disney enthusiast players so this kind of deck building is a great help. Might be nice to also include a quick section in the end on how you could upgrade. It's likely people will have gotten a random 1 or 2 of the 'expensive' cards like Jafar and queens castle from opening packs.

I'm playing a fast lore budget deck with the 3 quest Pinoccios and the Arthurs and you gave me the idea of mixing it with a more control strategy incorporing the exert Pinoccios, Hooks and Smees... Arthur is just very slow in the meta now, and with Steel everywhere, it's very prone to removal before you proc the effect. Still a great card, but it has its limits because of the meta. If you are going for an aggro strategy I would stick with that, I would not try to mix aggro and control, your deck focus will be split and do neither thing well enough.
Nice budget deck. Would you consider adding a few copies of “Rise of the titans” against location? Or do think the lineup of existing challengers is enough? Also would you consider adding locations to this deck like The Forbidden Mountain?
Its a good deck but im a little sad not alot of set 3 is in this deck. Rafiki is good smee is nice, but thats pretty much it for representation. Yes 7 drop Simba is there but how often do you play him, easily replaced with a different card you have available, for me its floodborn Hercules. Im looking forward to building and playing this but it feels like a set 2 deck with slight enhancements
A lot of the set 3 cards are still expensive. The cheaper cards (commons/uncommons) are not needed beyond what was included already. The supers are still underwhelming right now on both colours except for this Simba.

Do you have any suggestions as well for upgrading this deck if you had a slightly bigger budget, so you can upgrade it over time as you collect/trade stronger cards? I was wondering if it might work to swap out Simba - Fighting Prince for Tinker Bell - Giant Fairy? Would love to hear any suggestions! Thanks again for the great video 👍
For future content idea.. I can already tell the meta is getting very lopsided with Ursula Emerald Steelwheel- please do a video of strategies against this, with the most viable decks like Amber steelsong, of course Ruby amethyst locations, and maybe blue steel. It can, because of your removal options. Emerald Steel heavily relies on the Ursula 3 drop and Robin hood shift to gain early advantages. If your draw engine can outdraw their Buckey discard until your Swords, you can win.
Emerald Steel is very much meta, it's the most common deck you see online and there is a full best of 3 in this video. I can't post an hour long video with every match, but more videos on this deck can be done if people show interest in this.
@@QuantumMercury emerald/steel is definitely meta just not discard. Emerald/steel OTK and variants are meta, purple/amethyst aggro, Jafar Amethyst/Steel, Ursula amethyst/emerald bounce. These are the metas. You can even say Amber/steel 3.0 is meta

Yeah, there are lots of upgrades you can make, but then it gets very expensive!

Yes, but not really for theme decks, more for relevant strategies (doesn't always have to be super competitive).

New Robin Hoods are very strong as is the Queen Castle. Robin Hood will be very expensive though (currently $160 for a playset in CDN $).

It's good, but Smee is more offensive pressure for both challenging and lore gain.
