Thank you God for speaking through Maureen. I've had this all wrong. Yes I've been basing my faith upon the action of others. Therefore my faith is almost gone. I don't believe I deserve what God has shown me. I have had the same dream for idk, well over a year. Each time God reveals a little more to me. I just had the dream again 2 nights ago. My journey has seemed long suffering and never ending, yet this same dream keeps coming back. I know my calling but don't know how to get to it. You said you don’t think you hear His voice. So that kind of makes me wonder are you hearing and sometimes it turns out to not be Him? Enough people don’t talk about this. But also, if we neglect to have tough conversations with our heart, if we bury our feelings, if we bury our true desires, even in the honorable and earnest pursuit of holiness and righteousness, our heart will start to mimic the voice of God in order to be heard. It’s important to know what you’re feeling, know what is really happening inside you, bring that whole hot, slippery, chilled ice cold whatever it is mess to Jesus in your personal time with Him. Wake up early, or set aside a designated precious time where you will read the Word, sing thanks to Him and just sit with Him. Just imagine his shoulder, the linen on His shoulder and your head resting on it. And let your heart pour out to Him. Speak to your heart with respect and honor it as you discuss its desires. I had to tell it: this thing that you want is beautiful. But the way that you want to get it, it will end in you getting the opposite. So let’s trust God to get it His way because He wants to give you that very thing your heart desires, but the true authentic and best version of it. And then your heart will stop feeling unheard and stop maneuvering ways to be heard. He hears your cry, and He will absolutely honor the desire to know Him! What a beautiful heart you have to know Him. You shall know Him and walk with Him as a wife walks with her husband. You shall know the truest deepest, most authentic and most tangible Love in the universe, you shall know Him as yours.
