I would love to share the contact details since he was so amazing but he hasn’t responded to my email so I’m not sure if he wants me to share it :(. Regardless I’d say definitely try applying for FSH appointments (if you’re planning on making big purchases then maybe the FSH SA might be able to get you a leather appointment). I know when I bought the homeware I asked my SA if she can try to get me an appointment and she asked the girl responsible for giving out appointments and tried but the girl said all appointments were taken that day (but then again I didn’t spend that much). Also try your luck shopping at the Sevre store, maybe you might get lucky and get a bag appointment like me? :D if not at least next time you come back to paris your chances are higher with a purchase history and a SA you can contact! Hey Lisa! Congrats on your lindy! I’m still waiting for mine 😆. B25 is 7000€ in paris minus 10% VAT refund. Customs when you come back is usually just taxes. It absolutely is worth buying in Paris because the VAT refund essentially cancels out the taxes you’d pay. Good luck! :)

I would still go back to that store and tell them you had a great relationship with the prior SA that unfortunately left and a purchase history there and see if they can help you out. Your purchase history should help even if your SA is no longer there (especially if you were offered a bag)! But also apply for leather appt at FSH as well just to increase your chances ☺️, good luck!!!

Welcome to the Chanel and thanks for watching! 💕 So when you buy anything they’ll give you a VAT paperwork folder and you bring that to the France airport with your goods in a carry on bag. Then you give the paperwork to the VAT refund officer and they stamp it and process it and you would get the ~10% of the price in taxes back to your credit card. When you get to Toronto and declare the value, due to CETA agreement you shouldn’t have to pay duties on leather goods made in europe but you will have to pay taxes - sometimes less if they appreciate that you’re honest and give you a break/less to pay. But as a guideline expect to basically pay that ~10% you saved back to Canada. :) But the price of the bag excluding the tax refund is still 20% cheaper than North American prices so if you can score don’t worry about taxes it will be worth it! Hope this helps!

I had really bad luck with SAs here in the U.S. One of them basically told me my purchase history of $17,000 is too little for a B30 or K28. I was always polite to her but the store was just too competitive. I would like to try my luck to get a Kelly 28 or 25 in Paris but I'm afraid that I will run into an SA that makes me buy a bunch of items but do not offer me any bags again. Thank you!
Hey hun, I’m so sorry to hear that :( it’s absolutely the worst when someone strings you along after spending so much especially on bag sizes that aren’t too highly demanded compared to the 25 sizes. What color or combo were you looking for and if you don’t mind me asking what state? So while I would love to share my SA info I haven’t gotten an “ok” from him to share the contact :(. However, I will say that in Paris there is less emphasis on “exact dollar amount” of prespend. Unless you have a lot of items you want to buy anyway or have a lot of cash to drop, I would suggest making a list of exact things you’re interested in getting (and asking the Paris SA for those) - even if they don’t have it they will kind of consider it as something you were willing to buy and it shows you’re interested in the brand and know what they have to offer. But I firmly believe Paris is the only place where your love for hermes and your knowledge/bonding with SA on something mutual will help you get a bag more than how much you spend. Also if you have a significant other (husband or bf) have them vouch for you and ask for the bag for you helps too :) good luck!

I was looking for a K28 in gris perle/etoupe/blue brume with ghw in either epsom/togo/evercolor as my top choices. I started with my boyfriend's account in NJ (not my local store, but friend recommended this sa to me) in September 2020, but as of the end of last year, the sa we were working with said there's no chance of getting one with a $17,000 spending profile, she said there are many more people who spent way more and still waiting for bags. She also blamed me for the two or three rodeos and 1 calvi I bought on Hermes.com, but I only got them after she told me there's no way she could get them. So I gave up on this sa. I started buying under my own name in December 2020 in my local Boston store, and as of now, after $6,000+ spending, they are not even offering me a lindy26 in etoupe I wanted, I said I am ok with either ghw or shw but still nothing. The sa I'm working with is too new, so she barely received any bags from the manager.

Wow I can’t speak to the clientele in NJ but I think you did the right thing by switching since I know in the US/NY some people don’t even spend to 1:1 and get offers. (although what a waste of prespend 😢). Also regarding the lindy to be fair in my latest unboxing video I finally got the lindy 26 I wanted after 2 years wait 😂 with a fairly good relationship and was offered B/C before and I spent around 5k after my C but technically you don’t need prespend for lindy but make sure to hint or ask her to keep an eye on that bag everytime you visit. Have a look at my video if you’re interested but the lindy allocation (at least in Canada) is a bit different than quota bags so I wouldn’t write off your Boston SA yet! And with newer SAs it might actually be easier to get bags cause they have less high profile clients you have to compete with ;). But if you’re gonna go to Paris definitely try your luck with the lindy and your dream K!! Although harder to get specific bags and if you have your heart set for a specific bag best to keep the most expensive prespends at your home store assuming you and this SA click! :) Sending the best luck your way!! 🍀 💕

I know a girl who has been a 4+ years customer that had to spend 30k to get her first quota and 50k on her second one. It's crazy here. In Boston I've been hearing people spending 7-8k before getting offered a lindy26. 1:1 ratio all non-leather is almost impossible here now, even 1:2 is a good ratio nowadays. To be honest I feel like it's easier to get bags if you are not Asian. They tend to think Asians are willing to spend more to get a quota bag plus there are many resellers who has a lot of money to spend than regular customers, they are all over the stores. That's something I hear from people who lives in Europe too, the sas sometimes wonder if you are a reseller and don't want to offer you any bags. Thank you for your warm wishes!

Hey Sophie!! Thanks girl :) and great questions. The price was 7000 € only (and of course you get 10% VAT refund back)! Apparently you don’t pay duties since there’s some trade law that was passed in 2018 that says leather goods made in europe is exempt from duties, so you would just pay the tax!

OMG, don’t listen to her, I started buying Hermes Kellys and Birkins in my mid-20s. I just love the brand and the history and worked very hard and bought it all with my own money. Now 15 years later I’m so glad I started so young. These were investment pieces for me and many of the bags I bought in my 20s that I no longer used sold for more than double the price ten years later. Hey hun, I’m so sorry to hear that :( it’s absolutely the worst when someone strings you along after spending so much especially on bag sizes that aren’t too highly demanded compared to the 25 sizes. What color or combo were you looking for and if you don’t mind me asking what state? So while I would love to share my SA info I haven’t gotten an “ok” from him to share the contact :(. However, I will say that in Paris there is less emphasis on “exact dollar amount” of prespend. Unless you have a lot of items you want to buy anyway or have a lot of cash to drop, I would suggest making a list of exact things you’re interested in getting (and asking the Paris SA for those) - even if they don’t have it they will kind of consider it as something you were willing to buy and it shows you’re interested in the brand and know what they have to offer. But I firmly believe Paris is the only place where your love for hermes and your knowledge/bonding with SA on something mutual will help you get a bag more than how much you spend. Also if you have a significant other (husband or bf) have them vouch for you and ask for the bag for you helps too :) good luck!

I was looking for a K28 in gris perle/etoupe/blue brume with ghw in either epsom/togo/evercolor as my top choices. I started with my boyfriend's account in NJ (not my local store, but friend recommended this sa to me) in September 2020, but as of the end of last year, the sa we were working with said there's no chance of getting one with a $17,000 spending profile, she said there are many more people who spent way more and still waiting for bags. She also blamed me for the two or three rodeos and 1 calvi I bought on Hermes.com, but I only got them after she told me there's no way she could get them. So I gave up on this sa. I started buying under my own name in December 2020 in my local Boston store, and as of now, after $6,000+ spending, they are not even offering me a lindy26 in etoupe I wanted, I said I am ok with either ghw or shw but still nothing. The sa I'm working with is too new, so she barely received any bags from the manager.

Wow I can’t speak to the clientele in NJ but I think you did the right thing by switching since I know in the US/NY some people don’t even spend to 1:1 and get offers. (although what a waste of prespend 😢). Also regarding the lindy to be fair in my latest unboxing video I finally got the lindy 26 I wanted after 2 years wait 😂 with a fairly good relationship and was offered B/C before and I spent around 5k after my C but technically you don’t need prespend for lindy but make sure to hint or ask her to keep an eye on that bag everytime you visit. Have a look at my video if you’re interested but the lindy allocation (at least in Canada) is a bit different than quota bags so I wouldn’t write off your Boston SA yet! And with newer SAs it might actually be easier to get bags cause they have less high profile clients you have to compete with ;). But if you’re gonna go to Paris definitely try your luck with the lindy and your dream K!! Although harder to get specific bags and if you have your heart set for a specific bag best to keep the most expensive prespends at your home store assuming you and this SA click! :) Sending the best luck your way!! 🍀 💕
@@janeshappyplace3687 It has became extremely difficult since second half of last year. I know a girl who has been a 4+ years customer that had to spend 30k to get her first quota and 50k on her second one. It's crazy here. In Boston I've been hearing people spending 7-8k before getting offered a lindy26. 1:1 ratio all non-leather is almost impossible here now, even 1:2 is a good ratio nowadays. To be honest I feel like it's easier to get bags if you are not Asian. They tend to think Asians are willing to spend more to get a quota bag plus there are many resellers who has a lot of money to spend than regular customers, they are all over the stores. That's something I hear from people who lives in Europe too, the sas sometimes wonder if you are a reseller and don't want to offer you any bags.

Hey Sophie!! Thanks girl :) and great questions. The price was 7000 € only (and of course you get 10% VAT refund back)! Apparently you don’t pay duties since there’s some trade law that was passed in 2018 that says leather goods made in europe is exempt from duties, so you would just pay the tax!

@@rezky7539 Thanks for watching! :) It's okay if you don't have an SA! You just need an appointment to buy bags but you can go in to shop for other things and find a SA you click with regardless of time! But yes in the morning when they open there will be more SAs available to help :)

Haha thanks for thinking I’m young 🥲. I agree the B30 might be a bit more mature but I think the B25 is quite cute and fun 😃. Definitely not keeping up with the Joneses, I don't think I can keep up and I’m terrible at knowing what the trends are 😭
OMG, don’t listen to her, I started buying Hermes Kellys and Birkins in my mid-20s. I just love the brand and the history and worked very hard and bought it all with my own money. Now 15 years later I’m so glad I started so young. These were investment pieces for me and many of the bags I bought in my 20s that I no longer used sold for more than double the price ten years later.
