Finally! You guys finally made it to Mud Nationals in Jacksonville, Texas. I didn't think you guys were ever going to make it to Texas. Great show! Cant wait for you guys to come back to Texas, to play in the mud with us again. Everyone deserves to play in the mud every once in while.
glad you guys came to my neck of the woods as Mud Nats is only a couple hours from me. I'm glad we don't have to wear helmets as you see the riding style is much slower down here but for racing helmets are a must.
Dirt Trax Television At the speeds we go down here its just not necessary. I don't think 5-10 mph would warrant wearing a helmet. The speeds you go on this channel at wide open and sliding around then yes you most definitely need a helmet but riding through the woods or through mud holes I just don't see it. Plus it way too hot to wear a helmet 9 months out of the year. You see how high everything is down here where we know that our atv's and utv's would tip over very easily at speed but we just don't go that fast. You can see it in the video everybody rides slow.
Fortunately people with brains have already established that the leading cause of death in motorcycle accidents, Including ATVs, Is head injury. There's no disputing it. I respect your right to choose whether or not you wear your helmet, but don't justify it by saying you're going to slow to get hurt or killed because that's just foolish. It doesn't matter how smart you are or even how skilled you are at riding, they're called accidents for a reason.
Read my comments. I never said I was for mandatory helmet laws. I simply said you shouldn't justify not wearing a helmet by saying, "At the speeds we go down here its just not necessary. I don't think 5-10 mph would warrant wearing a helmet." People don't die from riding un-safely. They don't die from riding above their ability. They die from the injuries they sustain. Again, the most common reason for death in motorcycle/ATV accidents is head injury. My comment makes perfect sense. I respect you're right to choose whether or not you wear a helmet. I have a friend who will be drooling into a bib for the rest of his life. He fell off of a bicycle going 5 to 10 miles per hour. Enjoy the wind in your hair. I sincerely hope you or your friends never have an accident where you'll wish you had a helmet.
Great job guys, but is there anyway you could get your hands on older quads and do proper reviews on those? Like a 1986 Honda fourtrax or like a quadzilla
+Erik Desormiers because people buy older quads because there more reliable and a hell of a lot more fun for half the price. It's annoying hearing all those rich guys bitch about how nice and smooth there $9,000 quad rides
inline sounds way better than v, thats my honest opinion, take it for what it is worth. but what is sound anyway when compared to performance. its like buying a supercar by the color.
The scramblers are a bit overpriced. I men's for about 2k more you can get something like the new can-am renegade 1000 xmr which to me would be the way to go. Now that can-am and Polaris both have a mud ready unit ever thought about doing a comparison to see which ones better?
The freedoms afforded the citizens of the State of Texas are admirable. There seem to be too many laws these days in most places. But having said that I believe people should always wear a helmet while riding an off road vehicle. Just because you're allowed NOT TO doesn't mean you shouldn't. I've seen rocks thrown at drivers and passengers from the rear tires of machines in front of them. I've seen a crash and a roll over where people's heads hit the roll bar and luckily they were wearing helmets. I choose to protect my head and face with a helmet. The fact that the law requires it where I live has nothing to do with it. Helmet and seat belt laws exist because sadly many people don't have enough common sense to wear them. I'm an emergency first responder and I've been to car crashes where people that died would most likely still be here if they simply had their seat belt on because they were thrown from vehicles. It's the same thing with helmets. I'm glad the people at Dirt Trax promote the use of helmets.

Always an advocate of helmet use. Even an accident at slower speeds can result in brain injury or death.

they should definitely do more comparisons between the two but I wish they would feature some other brands like Kawasaki, Suzuki and Honda
