It seems more for an operator in an ice cream store. Great theme to draw kids in for quick ball drain games with a bunch of quarters in quick time. The problem with that statement, its 12k!

Totally agree about everything you said. But I’m a stern fanboy I don’t really like JJp games. They’re just too soft and don’t shoot right. I gave them one more chance with guns and roses. Bought it new played it for about a month didn’t like it and sold it. Used the money to get a Godzilla Premium. Damn I wish I watch the original video I wanted to see the segment that you removed I know I would have laughed out loud
I briefly saw the original video but didn't see the rest, now I did and honestly I don't see why someone got mad over it. It's just the old school meme from the movie Downfall and people have been making that meme for years, it's like someone doesn't remember or understand the golden age of the internet when memes were more creative and funny. Anyways, I've yet to play Toy Story 4 but I've seen Karl play it and getting to the wizard mode about 3 times, they really made it easier to beat the game but the wizard mode doesn't look or feel rewarding, I'm assuming JJP is still working on the code so hopefully the final mode is more impressive in the future, as well as tweaking other modes and features in the game.
A newbie owner for 6 months, & I’ll bet I have watched 100 pin videos, trying to find objective comments about which pins I may want to buy as I build to a small 3-4 pin collection. I expect to make a few mistakes, but want to work toward a collection that will appeal to me & adult kids & grandkids. I initially got sucked into another video series that I thought was somewhat objective, but found those 2 guys to be (IMO only) shills that were pushing for sales. I truly appreciate your no-BS approach to both the good & the bad. Now a subscriber & watcher of every episode you roll out. Keep up the good work! I regret that I missed the original version of this video- some folks have no sense of humor, I guess. Thank you, I planned to have footage of ME playing as B roll, but I wasn't allowed to record. Then I planned to use other footage from other sources, but when you have negative thoughts on a product the chances are increased that someone will purposely flag your video with copyright. Been there and dealt with it a few times now. So I made sure that wasn't possible here. I get it. Staring at me the whole time can be tiresome. lol

I wanted to implement footage of me playing it, but the location wouldn't allow me to record. I usually have footage to show what I don't like about a game, but couldn't make it happen this time. I get it though - would be better to see the game than myself. lol.

I repeat, as usual you are spot on. JJP and Stern may not like your honesty, but I wish they would take the criticism and improve their products. JJP should have allowed a "leak" that said it was only based on TS4 a couple of years ago. That would have helped the letdown of not being TS1-3 play out long before the reveal. I thought this would be my first JJP, but not now. Let's see what the next title is I guess. Looking forward to 2024.
I did get to play this tonight. I'm not a fan of JJP, the machines are typically slow and clunky. This was different. The theme is meh but the play is actually pretty good. It's got some good unique shots int it. Cudos to jjp on the layout an army of darkness them on it would have been better. Carey kepp doing what your doing still enjoy it.

If we polled 100 pinsiders and asked them what theme do they want to see it would go something like this… Megadeath - Van Hallen - Judas Priest - Die Hard - Ozzy - and the list goes on. The one DREAM theme you won’t EVER see from the mass majority of pinsiders is a CARTOON kids movie theme. Toy Story or Toy Story 4 whatever was doomed from day one because the theme is just not what the older pinside players want. It’s really that simple. When JJP released WOZ everyone lost their minds like WHAT ARE YOU THINKING! JJP marches to a different drum for a different type of buyers. Toy Story fits their line of games… Wizard of Oz - Wonka. You can’t make the argument that WOZ is a better shooting game than Toy Story and look how collectible that game is. Toy Story is a TOP 5 BRAND for licensing. This theme will appeal to a new type of pinball buyer and that’s a good thing not a bad thing. Your podcasts appeals to pinsiders not the MASS majority of causal buyers who buy strictly based on theme. Toy Story 4 just fyi is the HIGHEST grossing movie of the franchise but does anyone really think JJP tried to license 4 and not all 4? Disney is the puppet master when it comes to licensing they tell you. This game will find all kinds of homes maybe not the MEGADEATH dream theme guy but all the same this game is simply fun and amazing.
The point I was making when it comes to me calling out the GoTY was to show that I'm part of the majority. It is vote based by the public. So it's not a "look how awesome I am" like you thought. It's more of "I'm like the rest of you". I guess it didn't come across that way to everyone...
I think you also miss another point. You seem to think the majority are the 500 pinside members who voted when you say public probably 99% of everyone who bought a pinball or played one last year never heard of you, kaneda, straight down the middle or a pinball award show. Look at the views of the pinball review show almost no one watched. We get up in thinking that we are the masters of pinball decision making. Reality is stern is selling maybe 10% of their games to people who know or follow anything. We’re the people who talk about and follow this like religion are the mass minority not the majority. If we the majority as you put it had this much power pinball companies would be out of business quick. We talk about code not being good and that alone will sink the game false. 90% of ghostbusters out in the world never had a code update because the people who bought them don’t know there was an update. Even if they did hear about a code update they wouldn't know HOW to do it. Remember you and I the enthusiasts are the minority not the majority. Toy story will sell thousands of copies based on theme alone. Those people don’t buy from the people you know they buy from home stores where you find pool tables and outdoor furniture, online, etc. There is a home store here in my town they're asking for 20k for Toy Story and selling them. Crazy right? If only those people knew to call someone in the KNOW! . I personally think Godzilla is overrated. It’s a great game but I don’t think it’s amazing. I also enjoyed playing ts4 way more than I thought I would have. In the end, who cares. Play what you like. My favorite games in my collection were all bashed by pinside. Also you complained about the flipper power. Every JJP is weaker in comparison to stern

I got to play both now and I thought that I was going to love Godzilla and hate TS4. Although I really love the Godzilla theme, the game surprisingly turned out to be not my kind of thing at all - the layout just didn’t click with me the way I hoped it would. TS4 on the other hand, not being my fav theme at all, clicked way more with me than I had initially thought. Maybe the layout is not spectacular- but it’s still great and the shots are buttery smooth. After all, it’s a typical Lawlor, pretty playful and enjoyable 🤷♂️. I personally like the smoothness of JJP Games, the flippers are not exactly weak, they are just different and their games have a smoother, more playful appeal overall, Sterns are like.. well, a bit stern maybe? I wouldn’t want JJPs to shoot like Sterns, either. I am looking forward to what Steve will come up with at JJP, as his layouts/shots usually tend to be on the “stronger” side 😊.
People act like they got slapped in the face and are offended. It made $30m in a day, not every pinball machine is made for every single person. It reminds me of neckbeards who get mad about movie reboots. People love Ghostbusters and Star Wars from when they were a kid, but can't stand the reboots. The new movies, that are made for current children. I know $12k is a lot of coin for a machine but no one is forcing anyone to buy, a TOY.

Thoughts on Legends of Valhalla?
Only got a chance to play it a couple times at Expo last year. Need more time on it. Didn't impress me for what little I played though.
Way over priced. Be lucky to get $6500 for it if you sell it. AP pins do not hold value. So many better options out there.
