there's literally almost no Football passion in the Philippines nowadays. There was an all time high in the 2010s, but thats it so far. The usual reason why PH sucks at football is the lack of football culture in the PH, thus improvement is a challenge. This is also the main reason why we have foreign-born Filipino-foreigners instead of locals.
If you're part of PFLFU, you'll find out that there is. But like the PWNT, they need to show some notable results. It's not the football culture in the country, football fans will show up if the matches are accessible to them, it is the sad Filipino culture of "we will support you if you start winning". That's what happened back in 2010.
@@anonymouse6681 "we will support you if you start winning" should be a fair statement. the only way for the football culture in the Philippines be improved is to first show that the Azkals do have a consistent edge in international competitions, unfortunately, we're only really good when we're against weaker teams

He plays for the second best team of Randers Freja, in the 6th (!!!) level of "divisions" here. He obviously has no chance of playing in the Danish National Team, so I fully understand his choice of playing for the Phillippines. I see he is born in Denmark ( Aarhus ).

And yet, here they are making fun of dual-nationalities of other ASEAN countries when they have 2 players without Indonesian blood. They attack stadium appearance 🤣 of countries whose football isn't even their top 5 sport. Indonesian fans, with your football and how you brag about it, you should be at least kicking off with the big guns at the world cup (yeah you qualified in the 50s, and yeah you still brag about it). But here you are still comparing balls with your ASEAN neighbours. You bully other ASEAN football and yet you still have not won the crown.
