All you need to do to fix a dc motor is to open it and join the two copper wires. The wires which lead down to the place wher we give electric current. 1000000000% working.

Two major suggestions. One is regarding your solar generator. Use a coupler to directly connect the motors. This will improve the conversion efficiency. Second is regarding the repair of dc motor. Machine oil is used to lubricate the moving parts and not the magnet and rotor coil. Should have oiled the shaft. Otherwise it is wonderful video. Keep it up.

I like that remote controlled metal item fetcher, why use a random hand-extending item to brush it out, if it is magnetic you can pretend like you are International Rescue in "Thunderbirds are Go" and deploy a dedicated vehicle to fetch it for you!

by converting the solar energy to mechanical energy, you already lost some energy due to conversion efficiency. It is better to put the solar directly connected to the phone charging port (ofc with right electrical components).

8:36 Ok now it is no longer funny, now it is just hurting my brain. Why the 6 motors wasting energy? I get the concept of rotating transformers but both motor and generator are low voltage DC.
I was curious about the same thing. I was thinking maybe the Solar Panels would have done a better job by themselves. I got the impress it was more for show or maybe to teach kids about how Power Plants operate.

:) The Motor Fix. I do that all the time with our USB fans. They wear out and get stiff. I learned that trick from my grandfather (RIP) as a kid. But I use grease instead of the oil. Maybe I will switch to Oil. Seems like it would be better in tight spaces like inside the motor.
I wish I could have popped out the SD Card in his head and put it in mine. Maybe someday we can do that but not today :)

Shouldnt use machine oil in DC motors. They will gunk up and probably end up worse. Graphite dust is a better solution. Apart from that nice tips!
