I somehow stumbled upon this video while searching for videos related to AI 188's economy and business class cabins. Congratulations. I am a random guy with literally zero familiarity about requirements for bring a cabin crew. I have to admit though that Air India's policies pertaining to pimples seem discriminatory to me. I mean who the heck would give a crap about whether a flight attendant has a couple of small pimples somewhere. Also I can understand the importance of maintaining a reasonable BMI. But the way they kind of made you sign an agreement for losing 2-3 kgs rubbed me the wrong as well. Very insightful information nonetheless. Hopefully AI cabin crew members are well taken care of once they become part of the team.

Making someone sign a document that you will lose weight seems very demeaning to me too.
Not sure why they are focussing on pimples etc which are natural and not fully controllable. What if someone get pimples after joining ? The focus should be on the communication skills , presence of mind which will help to handle emergency or related situations, and knowledge level required for job. Lets oppose this body shaming process.
As an American lawyer I'd say Air India HR may have legit reasons to have specific weight requirements but the criticism of your facial acne is sexist/discrimminatory. Since Air India does business with the US and probably leases aircraft from boeing or it's other American subsidiaries- I'm wondering if the American justice system would have "long arm" jurisdiction over Air India's discriminatory practices! Treating women different from men offends the 14th amendment of the US constitution and courts give gender discrimination intermediate scrutiny which is a high level of scrutiny. You should consult an attorney as you may be able to hold AI liable! Again the operative word is "May".
America has a variety of fancy laws. We Indians are not that much freaking sensitive like you people,so there are no such decorative rules here.Similarly you can't sue Air India using your dumb and wokist domestic laws.

Kolkata base is little strict that’s what I’ve heard, & you will get to learn a lot from there. It has many international destinations Dubai, Singapore, Bangkok and a lot more.

Both are good mate but Indigo is domestic airline yes they do fly to Singapore n middle eastern countries too whereas air india is international airline

I wonder why airlines prioritise these physical characteristics so much. BMI is ok. But counting pimples and requiring makeup to conceal marks. It is not a mature thing to do.
Because the cabin crew are the image and "Brand ambassadors" of airlines. You need to look presentable. That is why they mostly pick fair and good looking ones

But it’s been over a month and I didn’t receive any call or mail from there side for the training procedure
Do they usually take 2-3 months for making call or mail
