Hello from Romania (Arges county here) ! i actually live close to the Dracula's fortress called "Cetatea Poienari" :D anyway we have bad history with Russia since they basically stole a part of our land after world war 2 known today as Republic of Moldova. In fact USA have some balisitic defense sites on our territory wich made Russia very angry :D and americans have allot of troops in Romania like 10.000 soldiers or so. Anyway the part with the stolen bride is true :D but is a dying tradition, i've seen it allot of times and its funny :D And if you are interested about our ancestors called Dacians (who were great warriors about 2k years ago), just search for Daco-Roman wars, you won't regret it! Thx for the reaction and have a great day !

Hey Arges County in the house cool promise me you won't go to Cetatea Poienari alone at night lol... ok so that's the tension between your country and Russia and maybe that causes some friction with Moldovans of today and I'm glad you guys received some help to keep steady from that situation...Yes the kidnapping part was surprisingly cool that must of been the most original prank of all time 😂.. and yes I will definitely do my research from the sound of things it seems Dacians are similar to Illyrians thankyou for your comment I appreciate it

Hey! I'm glad you did this reaction video. The bride kidnapping, it's true, it happens at almost every wedding. I was kidnapped at my wedding by some friends, we went to a bar, have some drinks, and my husbant had to pay a ransome - a few bottles of scotch, and a declaration of love for me 😂😂😂. It' s funny, sometimes the kidnappers ask for silly things, like a song from the groom, a funny dance.

Wow that sounds crazy in a good way ofcourse 😆 so it's planned as in the time when your going to get taken or you just know the day but not the specific time? Also God bless your family and marriage 💑..love this comment thanks

@@dakashwaydkw9978 thank you! The kidnapping is usually during the wedding party, when the groom it's not with his bride, for exemple, my husband guarded me all night 😬, but eventualy he had to go to the bathroom, and then some friends took me. Then they gave him a call and ask for the ransome. 😂😂. It's a funny tradition. You definetly have to see this on youtube. I like your reactions! All the best wishes from Romania! 🤗

"Stealing the bride" is performed by friends or relatives of the married couple in most weddings. It's a way of showing the groom that the bride is so valuable it's worth stealing. Also, the groom is suppose to bargain with the thieves and settle on a "price" (usually some bottles of alcohol or money) for the recovery of the bride. During this time, the bride and the thieves usually end up in a club or a bar for around 1 hour. This event is shared with the guests of the wedding by the band that performs, with announcements such as "s-a furat mireasa" (the bride has been stolen everyone), sometimes broadcasting the hole negotiation just to show the full price the groom is willing to pay to get his wife back.
It's a cool way to show appreciation for the couple and a great bonding session.
Best regards from Romania. Hope you visit some day.

i know it's late but if you see it basically romania never had good relation with russia whenever romania allied or "had good relation " with russians was because romania was obligated (like when they made moldova a puppet or when it needed to side with russia to break of from the ottoman vassalage and even then russia took some romanian territory or when russia forcefully established a communist governament in romania even tho the communist had like 1% ore even less support of the people) also rusia took moldova from romania during the soviet times mass deported romanians to siberia form moldova and started huge propaganda agendas to create a Moldovan identity that is not romanian and started saying that they are molovans not romanians that they speak moldovan not romanian even tho its literally the same language and the people would never have a problem comunicating with romanians from romania and to make matters worst the added to the moldovan republic that was part of urss a part of russian populated territory that has no istoric corelation with moldova to further distance the romanian that live in romania from the romanian that lives in moldova and when urss broke moldova had a civil war because moldova was pro romanian and the russian territory was pro russia and actually the vast majority of people still want to unite with romania so thats that and now the realtion are very very tense because a new pro romanian president was elected and she already requested russia to get their troops out of that territory

Dude, your message would be/look a lot more *coherent* if you just used punctuation... it's a shame, cause you wrote some important stuff, but ppl *not familiar* with the situation, would have a really hard time understanding where a sentence ends & the other begins.
For example: _"also russia took moldova from romania during the soviet times mass deported romanians to siberia from moldova..."_ - looks more like a verbal diarrhea, with all due respect.

@@dyawr I didn't intend to write a big comment. I just got carried away and I'm to lazy to go back and put punctuations

14:50 Well, if you come to Romania & stay in one of the tourist villas in the mountain side, you might see a bear up-close, digging through the garbage bin at night. 😂 Their population has really gone up in the past decades I think. 🤷‍♀️

This is so wrong about the relationship with france: truth is that in the interbelic period(befo the russians forced us to adopt their communist regime) of time(1880+) had huge internal growth amd attracted direct foreign investments from france and not only; as came and implied the finances in all areas from infrastructures to administrative fumctionalities, technology, agriculture, so on and so on. Thats why you can see a lot of french looking buildings in Bucharest as said in video. All of them came to us we didn't ask nobody for anything, the others wanted to fructify their finances through our assets(natural and human resources): A consensus! Not a compromise, as these guys are presenting this aspect in the video. This is so false and stinks as lazy research from them. Pity

We kinda hate Russia, we also perceived them as invaders, that is why after the fall of the soviet union we rushed to join EU and NATO, and this is not the perception just now cause of the war, we had almost no economic ties to them after the 90s. But yeah they also helped us achieve our independence not that that counts, after so many invasion afterwards.
