    If u are assuming that the car mileage will decrease for old car then u should consider it for new car too as it will also start giving low mileage after 3rd year😀

    Whether to opt for a new or used car entirely depends on how frequently you are going to drive the car...if used sparingly...i think second hand car would be a better choice

    Hey! I am going to take a New car loan from pnb and their floating interest rate is 8.7% and fixed is 8.2%, I dont why in pnb fixed int is cheaper then floating also I am going to prepay my loan in 2-3 year but it am taking it for 5yrs due to less burden in monthly EMI and as I know there is prepayment charge in fixed int loan amount but pnb is mentioning this -Fixed rate: @2% on the outstanding pre-paid. However, no prepayment charges to be levied :-Where the loans are prepaid by the borrowers from their own sources.
    Please help me in this .
    Also if pnb wont charge on prepayment of fixed interest loan then dont you think its is very loss for bank like first fixed int is less than floating also if I prepay then bank will loose if it wont take any prepayment charges

    1. The money I saved while buying used car, would be invested. And now calculate and subtract returns of saved amount.
    Things are not that easy.
    2. I will put some cash borrowed from my friends, that's intrest free. 😀

    1-2nd hand car can be bought in Cash. It can save half money and invest same amount in equity.
    2-If use is less all calculations goes in favour of 2nd hand car.
    3-New car will also depreciate alot and avg will come down in 2 years
    2nd hand car bought carefully will save alot for middle-class.

      I am using new car since 6 year's with same mileage. Huge difference with buying top end cars around 30 lakhs sell it at low prices at that scenes second hand cars feel very good. Some rich people change car frequently at that case it feels very good. I purchased tata harrier top end, with good service record, single owner, at 11 lakh, car running around 90000 km, in 4 year's. At low budget safe car, diesel power ful car.

    There is a major flaw in the calculation. And its a big flaw.
    1) You can't get a 3 year old Baleno for 4 Lakhs when new car is 7.5 lakhs. Sites like Spinny, Cars 24 offer it for 6 lakhs
    2) Resale of this old car would again be 4 lakhs as per Spinny Cars 24
    3) Interest on old Cars is around 12.5% if you assume new car is 9%

  • @saloneedesai16
    @saloneedesai16 ปีที่แล้ว

    In theory, this may all be right. But mileage coming down from 18 to 14 in 3 yrs is not at all possible. You maintain/drive the car well and all is well. And this includes lesser maintenance charges as well. Moreover, not like anyone has to keep paying exorbitantly higher insurance yoy. The basis of these examples are so incorrect.

    One cannot buy Petrol/diesel car and expect to resale it 5-6 years down the line. By them EV would dominate the market and government themselves would want to get rid of these cars. EV vehicle's resale value would be low as Batteries tend to loose its capacity to hold charge over the period of time (ofcourse no one would have faced it yet but 5-6 years down the line they will)- just like your mobile phone. In my view, don't consider resale value while planning to buy the car.

    • @coolappu5
      @coolappu5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@biplabkumarghosh6300 dude it does, resale value of EV car is much low. You can check any research paper around it. Weaker battery would reduce the number of KMs a car can travel.
      Depreciation value of EV vehicle is high than fossil fuel car. Well that was my analysis. If you feel otherwise your call to invest in second hand EV. But I stand by my POV.

I request to make a video on that. I guess the basic needs are:
    1. No maintenance balance fee
    2. ATM card with a daily withdrawal limit till 1lakh
    3. Able to make transactions upto 2lakh per day
    4. Decent internet banking service like icici insta bizz
    . Mam it's an earnest request cause it's really hard for me to judge and many minors might require it .

    Your calculations are right but pricing of old cars are totally wrong. In many metro cities 3-4 yrs old 2nd hand car costs hardly 1-2 lakhs cheaper than new one, so it makes no sense to go for old car while compromising on new technologies, features, safety and piece of mind just to save 1-2 lakhs. Ex. In Kolkata New Hyundai i10 costs around 6.8 Lakhs on road, same variant 2016 car costs around 4.9 Lakhs.

    In delhi you will not get a second hand Baleno which is 5 years old in 1.5lakhs only. In 1.5 lakhs you will not get even a Alto which is just 5 years old. Wrong assumption. Please check spinny, cars24, ola for the same. Buying a old car is always a better option. Instead of takong a loan for old car just pay the full amount.

    Way too vague comparison. In a way a good with only numbers prospective but in actual, cost will highly differ. Looking at the current cost cutting by the companies, sometimes even new cars require high maintenance and old car which are very well maintained will require a lot less maintenance. There are so many Ifs and Buts that this video becomes baseless in a way.

    Buying old car is profitable if a person is willing to pay maximum amount as downpayment and minimum of bank loan.
    The only factor which increases the total cost of ownership is higher rate of interest on bank loan

    You should calculate this without resale to show actual owning difference.

    Not factually accurate. Bought a 2 years old car, and the maintenance has been peanuts. My motorcycle demands more money than my car, other than fuel of course.

    This lady needs to know a thing or two about used car rates of Maruti cars.. and no one does loan for used car below 5 lakhs. People will buy on cash. Mileage remains the same.. and you can infact sale old maruti car in the same price again.. I did this twice. Plus the surplus money you can invest in FD.. this analysis is very wrong on many fronts. Doesn't take into consideration the qualitative factors and market realities. The most funnier part is 1 lakh value for Baleno after 7 years.. even the salvage value of 20 years old car is more than that in real market.. Baleno is top selling Maruti product.. lol
