With respect, the standard from opposition is quite farcical and embarrassing at times. More investment in the many weaker nations is clearly required. Just don’t think it works at the moment, except to swell the egos of the strikers who get chance, after chance, after chance…….. The mini tournament which was put on in England a few months ago was entertaining because they were hard fought games and for once, the teams well matched. We only usually see these types of games at the back end of tournaments.
If you count Team GB and the Olympics, she's already there. And a lot of her goals have been in major tournaments against high quality opponents. You can only score against what's put in front of you.

You can say that they are lucky to travel on the costs of the Macedonian football organisation to many places in Europe to lose almost every game. Only the captain plays is Spain and can make a living with football. We are small nation where the Man like sports, but the women are not really into sports(I live in the Netherlands and really see a difference in the willing of playing a sport between the dutch and macedonian girls). in England maybe 5-10% of the womens play football. In Macedonia probably 1%. That means that every generation has maybe 110 girls that play football and this is the result of that. So if a squad has 23 members,1 of the 5 girls in Macedonia that plays football gets a chance to come in the u17 or u19 national team.

No its not about humiliation. Its about respect (I know its a strange thing to say but if you ease up its disrespectful and patronising). This is the best way to give countries like N.Macedonia the determination to improve and close the gap, which they will in time. Professionals v Amateurs yes, but everyone has the right to compete at international level, no matter the standard, and things will improve for these countries. Its just that they are starting way behind and have had to fight discrimination and scepticism in their own lands - particularly from men - to even get to this point. They are fighting for equality and its a long road to take, but they should be applauded for the guts and effort they are making for future generations to enjoy their sport on the world stage.
