Samia, what did you major in? I'm in 3rd year of university majoring in Business Analytics but want to pursue data science. Do you think I should pursue masters in DS?
Thank you, I enjoyed listening to the conversation and learning from both of you. A potential question to answer for part 2, how to manage project expectations and timelines for data science projects.
Thank you so much for this. Enjoying all of your videos. I’m barely about to get my AS degree in physics. I want to be an astrophysicist but see myself in Tech since so much of the machine learning and data analytical skills (or the Data Science umbrella) in Tech are needed for my career.
Great video! I got two questions for part 2: Films are starting to use Unreal Game Engine to create the scenery and entire biomes in movie universes. Video games are becoming more realistic and integrative. Where do you see the future of gaming/entertainment industry going with Metaverses and AR/VR technology? How can someone who's not passionate about programming find a career in AI, Machine Learning, AR/VR technology, or do you strictly have to be a programmer or software engineer to work in this industry?
I’m a scientist for the government who is looking to become a data scientist for FAANG since most of my job is data science anyways. Your videos are helping me decide what position to look for and how to prepare for interviews. Thank you so much!! Also great to see other women in STEM 😍
As a new grad, this was super informative and encouraging! Thank you for sharing your conversation! I look forward to part 2! :-) Would love to hear more about the questions/project topics you both are curious/excited about and what those project life cycles would look like if you were to start them! :-)
Thanks Sundas and Samia for this great conversation! You two should do more of this and call it the S&S Show. Though you guys talked about the Data Scientist, Applied Scientist, ML Engineer and Software Engineer roles ---- I would like to know what do you think of the Quant role? Again, many many thanks!
Very informative and inspring Sundas and Samia. Thank you both. Just a question. How a data scientist should deal with algorithm biases? What are ethical-related issues that we need to take care of as data scientist?
Thank you Sundas and Samia for such a informative fun filled interaction❤! Another great content from Sundas🤟. I'm working on transition into data field from my current one and this video gave so much insight about it. Can't wait for the next video! ✌🌸🌼
Love the videos! I think the sexist job is the one you have. ;) Mine is a Principal Cyber Security Architect. I understand your point about industry experience. However, sometimes HR doesn't agree. I have 20+ years experience, but my current job required a Master's. I went back to school in my late 40's because I knew I wanted this role. Did I NEED the Master's to succeed? No, but HR would not even accept my application/resume without that checkbox. My VP could not even override the requirement. I do agree that you need to constantly learn in order to stay relevant in this industry. I'm actually starting to learn coding just so I can speak intelligently to any of the engineers working on the applications and APIs for the various Zero Trust Architecture hardware/software components and integrations.
Sundas, I just discovered your channel - what a wealth of knowledge. I am embarking on a self-taught track, which is already an isolated way of learning but in the pandemic, it's crazy. How do you find mentors or networks for accountability, etc.?
Hi Sundas, Do Amazon/msft applied scientists use c++ in production? I'm super proficient in python (the only language i know). I learnt DSA in python instead of c++/ java.
Thanks for watching! What was your big takeaway from the video? Did you learn anything new about data science job family?
I get to know about NLP for the first time. 😎👍
yes!! thank uu so much for such a infomative video
Infusing AI
Nice video 👍
This was so much fun! Thank you for having me, Sundas.
Samia, thank you for sharing all the learnings, so glad we made time to do this video.
@@SundasKhalid Thanks so much for such a good collaborative video, at first I thought you both are biological sisters. Umm 😊

Wonderful to watch! Both of you though accomplished; talk in a way where everyone can understand easily. Great watching and enlightening.

waiting for part 2 and
A request, need a road map for data scientist.
Thanks to both of you for such contents
This also sort of broke a notion I had about Applied scienctist roles only going to PhDs
Love this video!
do more videos like this. its good stuff. people can learn a lot

How much pay difference between DS analytics and MLE? I heard for meta base is the same but stock MLE is 2x
Is BIA(Business impact analysis) a part of data scientist ? And how can we become data scientist from BIA ?
Waiting for part 2

And from now.. They will be referred as The MANGA companies

Logon ki cousins doing job in Microsoft and Google. Aur meri cousins??
I think Software engineer earns more than AI scientist, right?
Not true, though this would from company to company. In a few big tech companies, applied scientists are paid more than software engineers
@@SundasKhalid yes but i was talking about on an average
I’m not sure on average. I’d suggest checking levels . fyi
Will AI will dominate humans?
haha good question. What do you think?
@@SundasKhalid i think AI will! ..we giving 0 iq machine a brain like human, Who can think!
