I think Phil Anselmo said it best when Pantera opened for Black Sabbath in 1999. “If Pantera are the kings of metal, you all are about to hear God”. 🤘🏻
@@sleepingninjaquiettime nah if theres a kiing of metal it’s probably dio, sabbath are the godfathers and Judas Priest are the metal gods. This is pretty much how metal history has already come to remember then . And its rightfully deserved . Id say that judas priest deserve more credit than they get in most discussions.
I love how Howard actually knows how to keep sibilance and plosives from coming into his mic. Those Neumanns are designed to capture the vocals crystal clear and pristine no matter what axis you're hitting it from. Something as simple as that is truly appreciated and never goes unnoticed from a sound engineer perspective
When an artist is successful, there is always someone wanting to profit off their success. It's so sad that this has happened to so many great artists over time
They getting ripped off by those in charge was so prevalent the question begs; 'How do you sleep at night when the demons come.' The answer; They (without missing a beat) say they sleep just fine. Would've liked to see Ozzy bite the head off a lawyer instead.
I saw black sabbath in 2004 at ozzfest it was awesome that they were all still alive. Ozzy was great that night too. It was in Colorado and ozzy usually had a hard time with the altitude but he put on a great show that night
Has anyone heard how Ozzy is doing? I know they were thinking about seeing a doctor in the Netherlands, but have not heard anything, would definitely appreciate any updates.
Geezer keeps saying, “The four of us”, in regards to the 13 album - making it sound like the original band was working together again. But drummer Bill Ward was never involved in those sessions. Poor Bill always draws the short end of the (drum)stick.
A few different stories have been tossed around. One of which was related to Bills health. He eventually had another heart "episode" 2 or 3 years ago (probably a little longer than that). I think they were concerned about his health and well-being, but thanks to social media, things get changed around and it becomes something else.
Well, unfortunately, in order to see the whole Interview you must sign in to SiriusXm network. Unfortunately, the Sirius isn't available here in Brazil.
His one definite shortcoming. He seems incapable of letting a guest talk longer than a few seconds at a time. And that's a rather significant shortcoming for an interviewer.
sure they've had some lows, but making music/seeing the world probably beats driving a cab or pouring beers in a pub(no disrespect to cab drivers/bar tenders)
It's funny to turn on the automatically generated subtitles when Ozzy speaks - TH-cam displays some unreadable symbols at that moment. Even artificial intelligence is not able to understand Ozzy.
Won't you just do what Apex twin does. Which is jam on something and FL studio for an hour or two onto a multitrack. Just get you a multi-track with a midi input. Record 24 tracks and mix it down into a song.
Stream the FULL interview now on SiriusXM: sxm.app.link/HSOzzyOsbourneGeezerButler
I will have to try listening to this later. I am intrigued in what they have to say.
Geezer: “well, it’s difficult when you’re ripped off and you’re not sure who to trust…”
Ozzy: “yaughoighueeguioighaeuaegh, right!”
hahahahahah

Ozzy speaks in QR codes.

That first album is a masterpiece. It sounds incredibly good on a proper system. I am blown away to hear 2 days to make it.
Best production on any rock/metal album ever. Some of those sounds of those instruments are so LIVE and tasty.
Record companies were notoriously cheap back then with studio time. Many great albums were recorded really quickly.
the first 6 albums all are masterpieces, especially SABOTAGE!!!
@@sesto194 yep it's so impressive for a band to have their first six albums as good as theirs were.
I read somewhere that they actually recorded all of the tracks in 10 hours 😮

Killer interview
between Howard and himself
As usual…
Nothing out of the ordinary

His questions are poorly researched and he has no ability to listen

Yea his mike is fabulous
Because he has so much practice from talking over his guests and not letting them speak.
@@cchavezjr7 Bingo!!
Howards sound quality has always been notoriously great.
That’s exactly what I thought Ozzy was going to say.
And you actually expected to be able to understand him?!
Loud and clear

You have to be British to understand him.
He's the real life Boomhauer

Ozzy is some character.

there should be subtitles accompanying ozzie's utterances.
I really don't think they could figure it out.
That would be cruel to the person typing.
*Ozzy.
You know. Ozzy.
We need subtitles for his subtitles.
Wish they had all 4 original members for a performance on the show

Hole in the Sky, Snowblind, Symptom of the universe

The word "happy" is found in the lyrics to both "Dirty Women" and "Snowblind".
Also on the new album in the song loner.
Also on Changes

He was highlight of that tour, awesome drums
I think he might have meant Ozzy, Geezer, Tony, and Rick Rubin? The four of them listening to the first album.
If you can’t understand ozzy, you need to watch more of ozzy.
Master of Reality is their best album in my book. 👍
Ozzy should do a talk show with Boomhaur from King Of The Hill. Trying to understand them would break your brain.

When the interviewer talks more than the guests. Lol
Without Geezer there’d be no Cliff and so on.
wasn't the manager they refer to Sharon's dad??? Did HE rip them off???
No. It was Wilf Pine and Patrick Meehan. Don Arden did set his dogs on Sharon and cause her to miscarry, though.
There kinda shitting on their first album and I jam to that everyday lmao😂
Legendary bands always do that and they say their most recent album is their best even if it’s far from it. It’s inevitable
