In this episode, we haul out at Clarkes Court, Grenada to repair a rudder that is wobbling back and forth. To do this we have to source parts from France so I want to say thank you to www.international-boat-spares.com for all your help in making sure we had the right parts on order before they were shipped halfway across the world. You will see how we remove the rudders and damaged parts then how we reinstall the new parts and hang the rudders. It was quite the process!!

Thanks for making this video. We have a 2011 L39. For some reason the connection unit (not sure of the part name) from the shaft to the crossbeam slid up causing a conflict with the underside of the deck. Looks like based on your video its a simple fix to loosen the bolts and reset the unit a bit lower. Thanks again. SV Phoenix.

Hello. Thanks for the video. I am building rudders for my Leopard 39. What year is yours? Trying to figure out the key for the tiller arm. I can't tell if mine is the same.

We are a 2011. I’ll look to see if our manual has any measurements.

The owner’s manual has a nice diagram of the whole rudder system but nothing about the key. If you don’t have that, I’m happy to email it to you. [e-mail]

If this was not suppose to happen, did you contact the Leopard company to see if they had a fix... and maybe there was a mistake in your boat

We didn’t but it’s a 2011 and those parts on the starboard side might have been original.
