    Umm...they left Neung. Girl doesn't have a car. She came by bus in the book. She had to borrow money. Grandma's estate looks huge so...our MVP had to walk home. 🤣 Just sayin'.

    I also didn't expect GAP to get this much recognition. I thought it was gonna flop tbh because people are lesbiphobic af and in the past other attempts at GL failed to stay relevant like BL but it seems that times are actually slowly changing and there's a bigger demand for asian GL now. I was surprised and very happy to see how many views every Episode gets. And also the many GL trailers that came out recently. In 2023 we're gonna see the rise of GL hopefully.

    Neung’s wrath… pure catharsis!

    I love Neung so much. She's like a big sister representation. Super harsh but always defending and encouraging younger siblings to stand up in a aggressive way. I love how relatable is it 😂 but sad that younger siblings are the most vulnerable in the Asian society.
    Mon is really strong. I never thought hypersensitive person like her being able to bear all struggles with Sam who's even more fragile. What's even worse is that Kirk literally threatening Mon because adultery is a serious offense in thailand. You can even get fined or other stricter measurements. Mon basically felt defeated...damn. I wish this series made it clear by mentioning laws because in previous eps, coworkers did a same thing and Yha was saying ambigious stuffs leaving interfans in confusion. Fortunately, Thai fans helped me to understand cultural context.

    I applaud you for your reaction on this, it's great that you understand Sam's dilemma on why she can't fully cut ties with her grandmother. For me, that decision is really tough, it has been mentioned on the series. Her grandmother was the one who raise her since a child, and seems like a favorite as well or dearly love, compared to the other siblings. Neung was the eldest and has shouldered the great expectation of their grandmother since young, she was perfect but she rebelled when her grandmother push her to an arranged marriage and won't allow her to become what she really wants. Song, as the middle child, never really got the full attention of their grandmother from the start, but when Neung left, all the expectations was put on to her, and plus the fact that she likes woman didn't really help her situation. And last Sam, she was the youngest, but seems like she was the most adored grandchild. And when her sisters was gone, all the hope her grandmother has was put on her, and seems like Sam has the softest heart really, she dearly love her grandmother and wishes to fulfill all the promises that her siblings has broke. Thus she puts up with the toxicity that her grandmother have. The outer appearance of Sam being cold and tough is just that, outer appearance but in reality she's breaking down, her heart has been torn into pieces, thus the high wall she has and she never let's anybody in. But when Mon appeared the only person who was able to torn down her walls, and let her heart healed was Mon. Mon is that special person for her which I don't think anyone else can be that person for her. Now, having to choose between the 2 person who she really love and respect is really a tough choice. I can see Sam breaking down on the next episode, her choosing Mon will show how vulnerable really she is and how afraid she is of this decision.
    I can't believe we are on the last episode, I will surely miss the waiting for Sat for Gap The Series. The bar that this series has given is really high and I wish the next GL that will be coming out will be as good as this one. Will you be watching the last episode during the live streaming this Friday or will you be waiting on Feb 17/18 when they upload the uncut version in youtube? I already bought my ticket for live streaming, I don't think I can wait for Feb 17/18 for the uncut version and see spoilers in twitter. Just 1 more day and we will be sending Sam and Mon back to the web novel. But as they say, Sam and Mon might be back to the novel but Freen and Becky are still here and I'm very excited to know what their new project will be, cause I know they will announce it on the event this Friday, all the new projects line up for Idol Factory. Many are asking for Season 2 for GAP, and to make sure it's more happy and not much drama, but I had a glimpse of the season 2 of the novel and there is still drama on that. Or maybe a new story, a new novel adaptation, there has been many rumors on what it was but I'll just wait this Friday.

    I think the series ending will be done in a way that Sam chooses to go against grandma for herself and not for Mon or anyone else and in a non confrontational way. It is obvious that Sam loves her grandma and the way she left with Mon would ultimately have hurt her relationship with Mon.
    Neung's presence and all that she said was more for grandma to truly realise the trauma that she has put her grandchildren through.

    My thing is if the grandma cuts ties with Sam, what type of ties r they, like how did Sam get her house, car, company, who gave her the down payment, did anyone co-sign, did Sam actually went to work and saved money to buy her business, the way I see Sam I see it very difficult with the way Sam has designer, clothes, shoes, and handbags, that she would save money when she was born in a rich family, perfect example look at her older sister, she has nothing but freedom, she needs to sell her paintings to get money, with Sam education most likely would be able to find a job but I don’t think she would be a boss, because if mon study the same thing Sam did and mon isn’t a boss, so just putting out facts, if love would enough for Sam to start from bottom if the grandma takes everything

    Grandmother is so abusive and manipulative! The fact that Sam tries to stop Neung from "hurting" their grandmother (while grandma is hurting them both) shows how much Sam is conditioned to care about grandma first. It's a truly horrible situation. I love that Neung showed up and helped, but I think that is why next ep Sam will falter again. Her strength has to come from within herself, not from/for Mon or Neung. I think it's about Sam believing she has worth away from her grandmother.
    Also, something that irritates me:
    I understand that in the drama, they use Songs bleeding as an example to show that rights in same sex relationships are not equal to heternormative ones. However, as a medical student (I'm not from Thailand, but I don't think it's any different there), it irritates me because in a life-threatening situation, a doctor does not need consent from patient/family to treat them (because waiting will cost someone their life, so treatment comes first!)

    • @maycherryblossoms
      @maycherryblossoms ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no some places have different laws when it comes to medical rights, that situation happens

    • @doedelzz
      @doedelzz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@maycherryblossoms So if a patient can't give consent for treatment because they are unconscious, the doctor would need to ask family first? (just to make sure we understand eachother, I believe you!) How do they manage if no family is around? Do they let them die, like in the series?

    • @maycherryblossoms
      @maycherryblossoms ปีที่แล้ว

      @@doedelzz To be honest I don't understand the laws or patient consent law well enough to answer, I do know though that this sort of thing happens in places where same sex relationships are not recognized by law

    • @doedelzz
      @doedelzz ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Cherry Blossoms in May okay, thank you. My problem with the scene is that it's an emergency. Therefore, doctors don't need consent. If it's any other procedure, it makes sense that a same sex partner (if they aren't recognised by law) can't give consent

    • @maycherryblossoms
      @maycherryblossoms ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@doedelzz I know this is the case in the US but wonder if it's the same re: patient consent in countries with more conservative laws or is that like universal principle of medicine 💊
