Great video Eddie I must say I've been in saltwater since 1986 and have started keeping corals like in the 90s you're correct back in the day they told us you did not want to have any phosphate and very low nitrate now today they're telling us we need to have a little bit of both when my tank is low on phosphate I will add it on my own you can buy phosphate in a bottle the same thing with nitrate if it's a little low I will add some I always make sure I have traceable amounts of each again good video Eddie I like your new corals very nice happy birthday by the way your little crab to star of the show he's cool
i dont have any fancy gear or refugium or anything and dont want to use nopox. I don t have an ato so my skimmer is hard to keep working. If I get one will skimming lower from 20? I am buying alot of reef gear now and renting a par meter. Whats a good cheap ato? I read water changes dosnt help much with nitrates
Hi Karen, If your tank is less than say 60 gallons you really don't need a skimmer and can get away with water changes. NO3 of 20 is fine but not higher! always remember every tank behaves different to different parameter's. I have the Tunze, but I really don't have a certain one to recommend for your needs. They all basically work the same. Eddie
