@@khinenguwahkyaw2244 A few years back people used to make fan translations of the novel online the most famous one was done by 'Exiled Rebel' I think but it sadly got taken down when the official copy of V1 got published you can't find it online now apart from like the first 20 chapters

the truth is that I feel sorry for A-Cheng because XiChen is literally comparing him, not to say that he is imagining that A-Cheng is Jin GuanYao, the truth is that this makes me very sad since technically XiChen is only pretending that A -Cheng -Cheng is another person and that makes me very sad since XiChen's love is not for A-Cheng but for Jin GuanYao, and well that makes me very sad T^T (sorry for my bad English, it's not my mother tongue but I know a little)

You know I've read a lot of Xicheng fanfics and each one has one thing in common when it comes to Jaing Cheng, is he doesn't believe Lan Xichen could actually feel the same way he feels for him, he worries of being a replacement and this causes a lot of mistrust and miscommunication between, one I've read had actually revolved around Jaing Cheng confronting Lan Xichen about why he won't marry him after catching his forehead riben he had given to Meng Yao and even goes as far as saying he burned it and basically says he will never marry him, of course Zewu - jun does come to love him and even goes as far as to learn everything he can about him from Jin Ling and Wei Ying after getting their permission to formally cort Jaing Cheng, to which Wei Ying says he doesn't mind but it's up to Jaing Cheng to make the final decision and so he goes as far as literally kneeling Infront of Jaing Cheng's room and having the only response he got was being kicked into a lotus pound and falling sick to which Jaing Cheng feels horrible about so takes care of him before getting kissed by a fever induced Zewu - jun and leaving, fast forward to Lan Xichen's birthday there's a long line of people there to grant him happy birthday but the one person he wished to see was nowhere in sight and he was indeed told that despite everything that had happened Jaing Cheng would still come wish him a happy birthday but yet he still never came, until Wei Ying spiked Zewu - Jun's tea just by a little, but enough to feel tipsy and at that moment someone arrives in wedding robes and wishes him a happy birthday, to which he thanks them but felt a little bitter because of the possibility that someone is getting married on his birthday, but not because they choose his birthday to marry on but because he couldn't marry Jaing Cheng and the fear of him getting rejected again, but soon after he asks for the grooms name so he could wish them a happy wedding to which the person in wedding robes takes off the vail and he sees it's Jaing Cheng which made him think that he wasn't able to marry him anymore and felt worse until Jaing Cheng said "Well his birth name is Lan Haun courtesy name Lan Xichen and if he'll have me..." He then pulls out the lan head ribbon that Lan Xichen thought was burnt and said "then I'll gladly be yours." To which after awhile they got married and everything was back to being happy again, with occasional fights here and there, but what'd you expect from Jaing Cheng, he still is very much so strong willed. To this, I don't honestly blame Jaing Cheng for playing hard to get or feeling hurt when Lan Xichen said he liked him because we later find out in bonus chapters that Meng Yao purposely said somethings that made it seem like the other didn't have feelings for the other or wasn't good enough for one other.
I really did a whole on essay about one fanfic I read like a month or so ago 🤣🤣🤣
