I personally bought a Celestial Toystore 11th myself, and good God, it is some of the most fun I've have with a Sonic replica! The clack it gives off, the weight of it all, and the extra emitter-head. Good God! It's such fun! It's my designated winner of this, but that's my opinion.
For all those watching this video 4 years later , please note the following. Nick has greatly improved his work , his emitters, cores and general construction is far superior now. I can attest from speaking to many RR owners that nick has greatly improved his work on strength , gap issues and flick. Nick has also included the original CO sound chip (4 sounds) AS STANDARD in his sonics and offers a repair service for his sonic on any defects on his sonic. To compare to the CT , none have any swirl (CT have a pearlescent shine in their cores which is not what was promised originally) , remember CT is around 250 in its run if 500 (reduced down from 1000). CT also have bubbles in their emitters, a flaw in the Curing of the emitters, RR's do not ! You can play with the CT but in my own experience I've had issues with claw springs breaking , led issues and general bad construction in the rivets. Where as Nicks is utter perfection in dimension , weight and durability! CT has also been having issues in construction too . In addition to the sonic from RR's you get a beautiful display when your not playing with your sonic , something you do not with the CT . Overall my conclusion is to be weary of CT, be assured you get a fantastic sonic with RR's . I am an owner of a CT and its an amazing piece but it has been modified with its cores and claw spring hinge to look nicer and more screen accurate. Please take note of this before purchase , spend your money wisely and enjoy your new sonic !
Yeah I get what your saying but CT SONIC has only had one attempt to make there sonic where as nicks had like 4 releases for him to improve every time if CT released that many versions I’m sure there’s would be out of this world!
@@ryanbarker4129 yeah well with CT being gone , there's no "what if's" he's just gone so Rubbertoe is your only option now or else second hand CT which is meh

It's funny how he works up the CT one(the best one in my opinion) but he chooses he likes both of them! And yes I know he says he likes CT more but still he said it!!
Crazy how someone I used to love to watch suddenly becomes this sinister monster. Thanks for ruining Natalie's chance to make something of this world, thank you for not giving a chance to Dean who hadn't even gotten a chance to live, and thanks for ruining my childhood.
god damn I'd buy both of them just so i could have the best of both, the case for the rubertoe, and showing off display, and the other one for the actual awesome looking sonic.
my ct came in yesterday and i am absolutely in love, drained the first battery in a day because of how i never wanted to put it down, i appriciate this review for helping me chose which one i wanted and while i love rubbertoes work on the 10th doctor sonic i got from them, i know for a fact i would break their 11th due to my desire to play with it. CT is my winner here just for the ability to have fun with it
I wonder what/how CT is gonna do now that nick released a second version. It’s accurate to the first 4 Sonics, WAYYY better swirl than both previous versions, it’s actually screw threaded (thank god), red button at the bottom with magnetic clamp (I absolutely hate the red button, although I think the toy version just left a sour taste with its shitty clamp and button), top sections don’t rotate, and the marks on the claws are gone. From what I’ve seen, I personally think nick’s second version beats both of them by a long shot.
The Wand Company blows both of these out of the water in my opinion. It might not be absolutely 100% screen accurate, but it's extremely close, only a real sonic screwdriver fan would spot the inaccuracies. It has a plethora of different sounds, a bright LED (when shut, it dims drastically when opened) and to top it off, you can actually use it as a universal remote.
Alex Everett-last here's my opinion, the 11th with the clear window is a innacurate and it is the thing that takes the cake and it's collar/battery compartment doesn't go to the body, it's same with the 12th with the innacurate claws being hallo just like the character options ty and the dark green emmiter
I feel like the names of the manufacturers are a bit of a give away. Rubbertoe REPLICAS is far more fragile and more meant to be looked at. The Celestial TOYstore is far sturdier and better for play. It all makes sense.
The screen used one isn't as robust as we would all hope. From something I heard once, Matt became proficient at breaking the sonic on a regular basis. No matter how strong it was made Matt, like David before him, required a small collection of sonics so that in the event of him breaking one we'd never know the difference. Yet I agree, the Celestial Toystore wins with it attention to durability
Well regardless really the rubbertoe is the ultimate one because they are the people that made the One using the show so it's not even a replica it is the Real Deal
@@BriZ3l21 NNnope, because i'm not earning any money because of this virus, i can't simply afford it, in time i may get one or perhaps make one of my own like SanHolo80
Fun fact although the red button was scrapped you will notice now and then on doctor who that the sonic that had the red button will appear the red button wouldn't be used but you will see the hinge that allows the red button cover to open. For example deep breath the scene when Clara and the doctor are strapped to the restaurant chair, when the doctor says don't let it roll away, if you pause it right, when only the bottom half of the sonic is showing out of his pocket you will notice the hinge on the end cap. 😁👍😊
Jonluc Mombrun that’s because they was using the CO toy. Pause it right when it drops and hits the floor. It’s the little plastic toy. The toy actually pops up quite a bit in the show.
Really it doesn't look like the toy and I have looked over that scene quite a lot and didn't realise it was the toy besides why use the toy did they not have prop to use.
Call-Eno most possibly because Matt smith always broke the screwdriver as it wasn't meant for aggressive flicking the cage section was supposed to be pushed up by your thumb.

Both sonics are pricy af. But I really wish Nick made them the same way as he did with 11's actual screwdriver. If the flickability was just like his original 11 sonics, I think it would be more durable and could stand up to the CT a hell of a lot better than what was displayed today. And perhaps if he added sound as standard would be a nice gimmick, but theres only so much a viewer can moan about before he or she has to buy one to further criticise these replicas.
