How good was Yip had yet to be seen .Any singer who had been in the main role before, even veteran like Tham Sin Hoong did not require the"cat's paper" for reference. All verses should be at fingertips Just refer SanMa TzeChang singing for more than one hr. , all memorised. Kindly suggested Fun jeh to be well prepared for this occasion. TQ
No need to paste gold on Buddha 's face. As a smart and senior singer ,the first thing is to memorise a simple song. Look at those opera actress/actors , all can sing without referring to lyrics( cat's paper) especially acting in an opera show. Even younger ones like Yu Chong Yan, Tang Chee Kooi, & elderly ones like Tham Sin Hung .It is an insult to them when they have to read to sing. Another occasion when she was with late Choong Wan San . Here is the Cat's Paper Queen. TQ
珠肉在前? meaning if you are not the original singer, or famous for singing the song...no one can sing that song? monopoly? I dont understand? it's a just song, no patent!

以前的粵劇名伶是只要你俾到曲詞佢看，佢地就有本事唱到出來的，比如用二王體糸或是用小曲的melody。不知葉小姐有冇這本領呢？
芬姐見慣大場面但歌來背部微曲，應不是緊張所致吧？大聲葉素來作風都是稍嫌赘了一點。清一些會比較好。拍和方面，愚見：色士太响了，（相信應是簡瑞凌/勳其一演奏）大會音響效果稍欠調音平均，主/副樂器不夠均勻，（色士風蓋了头架，難得有木琴但聽來零碎得很）。
