She was fantastic in West Side Story! You should really check it out. Also, search for her singing "god help the outcasts", "grown up Christmas list" and "you matter to me". Your jaw will drop even more.
shes gonna be the next Snow white in the live action and ppl think shes gonna do a bad job but look at her range shes played so many different characters and she has an incredible singing voice 😭

Imagine being of the extra on this movie and you heard Rachel Zegler sing live? I've watched the movie and listened to the music on spotify, her voice gave me goosebumps. I think I'll die if I hear her live
ok rachel zegler's absolutely incredible voice aside, it's so funny to see the extras dancing serenely while in front of the camera and then having to do a lil shuffle when they get behind
i made the choice to sing live for every take throughout filming the hunger games: the ballad of songbirds and snakes. especially for a moment like this, where coriolanus is reacting to lucy gray’s song that she’s written for him- a declaration of love and trust- which became everyone’s favorite song in the film. this is a behind-the-scenes clip i captured of the acoustics within the space in duisburg, germany, with our amazing extras and dancers (!!!) whilst filming tom’s coverage of “pure as the driven snow”. i remain so thankful for moments in my career where i get to share my voice. it was my stepping stone into filmmaking, after all. and, of course, i am always super grateful to my filmmakers for believing in me and encouraging me. the album for our film. including these brilliant songs by david cobb and sung by me (among other amazing artists), and ‘can’t catch me now’ by the incomparable @oliviarodrigo, is available streaming now on all platforms! i spent my weekends during shooting in the studio w/ dave (via zoom) and francis, tanera, cam, handie, and greg to bring these songs from suzanne’s mind to life. i couldn’t be prouder of this music and this film. ‘the hunger games: the ballad of songbirds and snakes’ is out in theaters and imax NOW!💗🐍🕊
i absolutely love folk music and I was blown away by how much magic, passion, and creativity you put into your singing in this movie omg, i get chills every single time i listen and the fact that it’s all live makes it even more genuine & so beautiful. amazing & captivating stage presence
Okay, so like, I know you can hear yourself when you sing. But man, I wish you could hear yourself the way everyone else hears you! Because girl… when we say your voice is amazing, we are not lying!!! Your voice is perfect 😍
Before this I knew OF her, so my jaw dropped to the floor when I heard her sing during the movie. I vaguely knew there was singing but I didnt know she could SANG???
In Steven Spielberg's West Side Story, she sings a duet with Ariana De Bose. The song is "A Boy Like That/I Have a Love". It was the first time I saw her, and when I heard this I was like "wow, I need to see more of this girl", she blew me out of the water. You should really watch it. By the way, she was only 17 when they made the movie! There also a performance by her on TH-cam, singing "god help the outcasts", when she was a sophomore in high school. It's literally unbelievable.
I love her singing so much ❤ I had to look it up online after watching the movie Her character was just such a great fit for her I really loved it, thank you Rachel
This song is perfect. Absolutely in love with this song❤❤❤❤Congratulations to Rachel for this wonderful role in this incredible film. Your voice is wonderful. Whenever you sang I was enchanted. I wish much success 👏👏❤❤
I didn't read, but maybe she saw that good part of him we all have, and desperately needing support she hoped that good part will prevail? Plus he's a clever guy, and she might be sapiosexual in a way=) I think she didn't meet that many educated guys in her poor disctrict
I haven’t read the book yet, I’m about to start reading catching fire, but I assume him saving her from the hunger games and seeing the good side of him made her fall for him. Even if we don’t want to admit it, if he didn’t care about her he wouldn’t have risked everything after being told he could get the money even if she died. (I’m not a snow defender just to clarify lol…😅)
@@trip7002 I haven’t seen the movie yet but in the book you are in Snow’s head the entire time and it’s pretty clear that he doesn’t love Lucy Gray but he loves having her as a valuable possession, especially when he thinks his career is over she’s the most valuable thing he has. But the way he acts I guess he was able to make her believe he loved her for real. I can see how especially as teenagers when you think you’re going to die and then Snow offers a helping hand that it could blind you to some things.
@@liakiwirose yes plus she never saw herself as district. Which is why Snow was able to allow himself to have feelings for her because “she wasn’t really district.”
For me, I think someone else would've taken over and continued the Hunger Games nonetheless. But at least he or she wouldn't be as cunning and as powerful as how Snow is, something that we can see in him even in his younger years, and who knows maybe the Hunger Games wouldn't have lasted as long as it did if he wasn't the one on the throne. In the prequel, not many were interested in watching the Hunger Games anymore and it was Snow's proposals and ideas that helped it stay relevant and gain ratings. And he is also cunning and manipulative in knowing the motivations of the rebels. Without him, I believe the Hunger Games might have a chance of ending earlier than it did.
Good point of view! @@linav6260 I agree maybe without Snow, the Hunger Games would have died! I see Arachnea (the girl at the "zoo") take his position but not with the same "ideas" to help the Hunger Games!
@@linav6260definitely, during the time Lucy was reaped the games were on the decline It was just senseless slaughter that not a lot of people actually liked watching, there was chance that could have been the last one But Snow managed to turn it around, from senseless slaughter he made it into a violent pageant
