Vasyl Solodkyy performing "Tutto parea sorridere" from Verdi's opera The Corsair during the fourth preliminary round of the 2023 Cardiff Singer Of The World competition.
The Ukrainian tenor has performed on several stages, including Macerata Opera Festival, Teatro Regio Parma, Teatro Lirico Cagliari, Wexford Opera Festival, Donizetti Opera Festival and Teatro La Fenice. In 2022, he made his debuts as Alfredo (La traviata) at the Immling Festival of Halfing and as Tom Rakewell (The Rake's Progress) at Staatstheater Mainz, among others. Future engagements include Fenton (Falstaff) in the 2023 Verdi opera festival in Parma.
