I Like Your Approach To This Topic, But If This Would've Been My First Take On This Training, I Would've Got Lost at The Point Where You Skipped Over The Load Into Sample Pool Portion Of It, But I Appreciate The Concept Of Splitting The Frequencies On The Layers In That Way... Its Kindah Like What I Do With My Subs After I Copy It To 2 Separate Tracks, So Kudos To That And Then Some.
@@nevariden if it had like a clear tone to it or if I’m going to use huge 808 kicks doubling as a bassline, then sure, I would tune my kick to the music.
@@ambrushadam if your tuning or de-tuning, making a baseline or the pulse… it doesn’t matter what the “if” is. It’s just ALWAYS a crucial element of MY pitching of kicks. Try this… Go back to a recent track you made that you DID NOT pitch the kick to complement the track key or SOME RESONANCE/HARMONY of the key of the song and let me know what you think. At the end of the day it’s all about personal preferences and there’s no right way or wrong approach. I am not trying to say anyone is doing it wrong. Just giving some perspective on my technique. And for a really interesting effect, once you find the key/frequency pitch a layer of the kick two or three octaves higher. It give you a nice “beater” sound and creates presence
