예술은 유제이 같은 천부적인 재능을 가진 사람들이 해야하는 것. 목소리, 가창력, 외모에서 풍기는 분위기... 꾸민다고 되는게 아님. 좋아서 하는 건 한계가 있는 듯. 칭찬 듣는 정도는 그저 장기자랑. 그냥 아무 생각없이 듣게 되면서 홀려야 진짜 예술. 유제이 사랑해♥
공감합니다. 그런데 예술이라는 건 너무 광범위하고, 적어도 음악이라는 분야에서는 그런 것 같아요.
She is no a profesional but so far she is the best singer , has a natural talent and incredible kind of voice, and I love she is not a doll tv singer, she is a singer, she does not show his appearance but his talent, I hope she continue singing with that soul. Congratulations Miss Jei

TheKay830 It's because of the similar style in their voices and soul vibe. We're not just trying to pair her up with any top contestants from previous seasons. Think how everyone instantly wanted to see a duet between Katie Kim and Lee Hi last season because of their very similar styles.
Elite Henz I think you got me wrong. what I mean is...kpop star already came through several season, i think more or less other competitor are also might be well known, but only lee hi was mentioned most often, that's a little surprised me.

this performance was breathtaking.. and she did it with getting over a cold.. im sorry but lee hi and katie kim have nothing on her.. this song, part time lover, and new york state of mind is like in my top 6 of kpop performances.. just shows how amazing she is

I really like how she delivers every word of the lyrics it's as if she just speaking and not singing!
She will make top two this season for sure. Even if she doesn't give the best performance her vocal color is such a powerhouse this season. She is pretty much already signed no matter what to one of the agencies.

^ she is! she use to go to the same middle school as me. we're two years apart so she was in 8th grade when I was in 6th. I met her at the library when I was in 6th grade (2 years ago) in my town and she approached me first. she was so kind and funny. she use to be in chorus for my school and she was so good at singing. my Korean friend showed me these videos of her on tv and I was so surprised. I'm so happy and proud of her for being on tv with her talent.
2018 and this is still my favorite performance ever on Kpop Star!

The Beginning- the sound of her voice resonates/reverberates through my body until my whole body is tingling all over.
The Passion- as the song builds, the passion in her voice pierces my body and goes right to my very soul and I did not realize until she was finished that there were tears on my face.
The Power- this 15 yr old has enough vocal firepower to light up the entire city of NY
on New Years Day. Where does it come from ?
The Heart- some play to the audience and some play it exactly the way it was written and others play it the way their mentor would like, but Jei- well, Jei plays it from the heart and that's one of the things I really love about her.
The Ending- she ends this song so sweetly , so tenderly , so beautifully - its like the voice of any angel speaking to us and telling us everything will be alright.
The Unspoken Truth- i asked myself what kind of person would choose to sing this out of date song w/ a very special message on the biggest stage of her life? The answer- a very special girl. She truly is beautiful both inside as well as outside and she deserves our love and support.

I can listen to her all day long. Such a gifted singer! I know people might attack me saying this but I think her singing is better than most of the kpop stars.
most people forget that they are tuned so it sounds good in live and broadcasted with audio team worked on to make sound as close as she really sang Live but there is always limit to live vs studio

Look at YHY eyes 2:56. Look atJoo Miyeon eyes 2:16. Look at JYP tears 2:16. Look at Rhu Jin yelling 3:27 and goosebumps 3:38. Look at orchestra pit cheering 3:30.
Theo Rutledge DONT compare Ailee to Jei. You may prefer one over the other but they BOTH have incredible voices.
