Yay! 2nd year Attending Glasgow. US international student 🥰🥰 so glad to see us represented on TH-cam! Remember before my interviews and during the move trying to find any info and all info. This is brilliant!
😉 Being a Veterinarian in Germany for the Last 10 years i should consider a Video Like "5 Things i Wish i Had known before becoming a vet". The Work/Life Balance doesnt get better after Vet school and dealing with emotionally insane pet owners is becoming a greater Challenge each year.
helloo im deshna! :) personally, a beneficial video to me! thanks a bunch for sharing! hoping to be an inspiring vet or a wildlife vet just like you one day! love & support from malaysia
I’m so glad I found your channel May you really are helping me choose my future college major. I have a QUESTION; to get into vet school (which is competitive) do you need previous animal experience or something like that?
It sorta depends based off what uni you want to go to, i know for New Zealand before u can even sign up for a vet course u need to have more then 80 hours of work in a vet clinic
Here in Austria the only thing that matters is an entrance exam you need to pass. About 1500 people apply and take the test and the best 223 get accepted This is the case for only Vienna though, for other universities in different countries, prior experience with the field is super important and often required
Is there a mandatory abattoir visit at Glasgow and do you have animals that live on site? If so are you allowed to see them whenever? Or are you allowed to volunteer and help them in your spare time?
I want to be a veterinarian with all my heart ( I am in highschool) but I am not sure if I would go well with the surgeries e.g. blood... But I want to do surgeries.. From your experience do you think that I will be used to blood? And in what school lessons should I be good to be a veterinarian?
I take kinesiology in high school and my teacher ( a proffesional in health care) told me that the first time she had to deal with blood she passed out. It takes time to get used to something. For me it’s never about the blood but I imagine the pain they’re in which makes me freak out but I’m getting used to it
