I'd love to see another ship game, but every 15 minutes, they have to sacrifice someone. If the sacrifice isn't met, then an negative event happens immediately.
Some possible recommendations: 1. Zombies are attracted to gatherings of 5 or more people. Larger groups may even trigger horde events or special zombies. 2. AOE weapons to negate group advantages. (Infection grenades?) 3. Killed players drop some health item and/or buff items. 4. Make the kill count prize higher than surviving, so its more tempting. Maybe anyone who kills 5 people automatically gets at least a small prize. 5. Players who don't kill anyone for a period of time get pinged periodically. If you don't kill at least every now and then, your position is compromised. 6. Or everyone starts off infected, there are no cures, and killing temporarily halts the infection progress. So everyone has a ticking clock that they have to slow down with kills. 7. The audience could pay for bounties on players, and maybe even offer it to specific players. Like offering $50 for someone to betray their group, or for anyone who kills a specific player.
In Hunger Games rich people could donate items to specific players they liked. You should definitely set it up so viewers can donate bits or cash to give mystery chests or specific items to players of their choosing.
Yorgun was #1 MVP for sure with the zombie ambulance clear and all the kills he made. Omen was amazing too and Bojangles really is the master of comedic timing. Talk of giving money to teammates at the end is kinda sad since it shows that there is pre grouping happening before the events. I really want to see underdogs/solo players win. Perhaps have the biggest kill streak have their own cash that they can take from the final $300 depending on the kills they made? These are getting better, no zombies at the end was the right call but the group yapping hugbox is really boring to see. tl;dr Civs should be civs FFA should be FFA.
If you want fight between players, you have to force it, for example : - fighting XP could be x10 when shooting players - dead players could spawin loot (on top of what they already have).
Would be better with loot boxes without zombies, so you have players fighting for the loot instead of teaming up against big hordes of zombies. Just force such an event in close proximity of the 2 other groups and you'll create a fight. Spawning more loot on death would snowball the ones early game and better at PVP more, I assume Harvest doesn't want a 1000hr pvper randomly getting an AK after whacking someone with a bat then the event would be over fast...
Chat donating 20 bucks to cause Events in game might be neat. Like 10 bucks causes thunderstorm, et cetera. Or even have designated Drop Points marked and if a viewer donates 50 bucks(or something) it drops an ammo cache there. So players would gather around those and fight for them on the hope of a viewer being nice.
I like the idea of a pay to win royal. Give $2 for meds $5 ak $10 for MG or whatever and then make the donations be the prize people. Would be both super unfair AND entertaining. Also great vid please keep it up and thanks for to sweet content. ❤
Acting as a group is really logical. In a free for all, the first to attack is the second to die (he as the advantage over his pray, but is tagged as dangerous and destroyed by the all group). Since every one wants to be the 1st and not the 98th who killed the 99th, players tend to cooperate. Having a real money prise only reinforce that, since people roleplaying psychos for a good laugh (like Bojangle in the ship) will be less likely to do so.
You may need to encourage weaponry that does more damage to teams than individuals like pipe bombs and Molotovs. Not sure how, but I think it would improve things. Also, I was 100% rooting for Yorgun that entire round. He was playing for chaos and made it more entertaining.
I think to encourage high kill counts, have thing like in the actual hunger games where people get “sponsored” either from viewers, or just airdrops from kills
Best viewing experience yet, the big groups are expected and nessecary. It's realisitc, people do not need an incentive to kill, the 300 bucks is already the incentive. I woudn't change much more for the recipe, I think on this video you've nailed it.
it really doesn't feel like it when people play so passively I fully agree that the game shouldn't be about constant fighting, and making super short and braindead "Fortnite style" games, but when we have 90% of the players stand in groups of 15 yelling "friendly friendly!" looking at each other for an hour it is also extremely lame and boring to watch This is still a battleroyale that they willingly joined to play, to fight for the cash-prize. No one is forcing them to play these and they can easily create their own sandbox server if they wanna do RP stuff
I just found out about PZ 2 days ago and i already watched all your events, i hope that i can participate soon. This game and your events are amazing! You guys rock!
I've watched a decent number of your vid despite never playing Zomboid more than 15 minutes. I appreciate the change, but I think I prefer the structured videos a bit more. I suffer from the same problem the massive groups did in the last one - I can't keep track of what's what. EDIT: As for the group problem, perhaps a bit more in theme : Larger groups of players congregated together cause larger swarms of zombies to spawn and move in?
Also I think your vendor idea is good, where players drop a special redeemable currency. Since they have to go to a specific vendor location, there's an added risk to redeeming your currency, since the other people going there are either other killers with a solid number racked up already, or people looking to loot your currency for themselves. I'd argue that this is better than killstreaks because it gives people an incentive to kill, but still preserves some lesser incentive to avoid killing so as to prevent constant chaos, since racking up too many 'tags' or 'coins' makes you a target for others looking to loot them from you and redeem them. This also additionally makes it a bit more fair, rather than automatically getting special advantages for racking up kills with no risk involved in obtaining the benefits, since I think that would snowball a bit too easily.
@@BojanglestheClown lol dude hey, no disrespect i spent months trying to get on 1 event so got bored and left the dc cus it was always the same people getting on the events, i still enjoy to watch though, respect
you're streaming these events live? can't players just watch the stream to get information? Like that group at the beginning who knew exactly who threw the grenade after you said it on stream. Not saying that's how they knew who threw it, but just as an example of how they could watch the stream and get information.
Love you videos, I have only every played Zomboid single player but seeing these makes me want to find a server. I think this is the 4th or 5th one i watched.
Large player content for any game is always my favorite content. I just finished your ship zomboid video yesterday, nice to see the cannibal clown again. Btw you should get a custom mod made for these events maybe, like granting free random skill levels for kills or something?
great event loved to watch that, much better than the ship one there could be more rewards on certain events thrown in to bring the intensity up. bread and games!
Have the circle start or get to be smaller earlier, and move more frequently. You don't need to have it shrink at high speed the whole time, but if you shift its position it'll force the players to move around more, (less camping in buildings), and as they run into each other while in the open there will be more incidental conflict.
These events are so entertaining, specially the faction ones. Looking forward to like a custom prison one with guards spawning with keys, prisoners then at certain stages zombies being let in.

56:03 "one north... north north north north... Miyochad....Two people two people north" says omen as he runs east, once again filtering out of the group he was *definitely* a part of
To combat pacifism: each player starts with 1 money. Place vending machines around the map where players can exchange money for special items - ammo, health supplies, cures, etc. This incentivizes hunting players to harvest money, and the more money you have (if you are in a group and others know about it), the bigger the target on your back.
Here’s a way to separate players. After 20 minutes select one player every 10 minutes from each “faction” to talk with privately with one of the admin. That player chooses one of their faction to eject from the faction and that person can’t team up with anyone else for the remainder of the game. That way they don’t know who betrayed them and they might not go quietly.
I think having something like Albion Online where zerg groups appear on the map when they are 11 or more in a small area would give a big disadvantage to groups. I would make it where having more than around 7-10 players in a certain area add a marker on the map, revealing the location of said players. It isn't that big of a disadvantage, but at least smaller groups knows to stay farther. Being in a large group is a disadvantage in itself because food/water/supplies is more scarce, maybe increasing the amount of food/water spread around the map while increasing the rate of hunger/thirst to make it harder for larger groups to sustain everyone.
I'm not a big player maybe only 20hrs time in the game but I would definitely say it's worth a try. Heaps of options to Taylor the experience to what you want.
1:23:20 Reminds me of my high school dance in 1991 two groups on opposite sides of the dance floor, the teachers betting on which couple will actually dance first!
I think a good way to incentivize player killing and not teaming is to make food extremely scarce on the map, but killing another player spawns food in their inventory/near you. Set hunger to high and you have a lot more fighting. The hunger games also had a kind of sponsor system, where the more popular you were, you'd receive gifts by the viewers. While I doubt its applicable in this case, maybe a system where every X number of player kills, you get a lootbox of weapons and ammo, which can incentivize snowballing as a hostile-to-all player, offsetting the numbers advantage groupers might have with sheer firepower and gear.
I think the issue is they are treating it as 'the last one to survive' which makes sense and doesn't necessarily mean they have to kill each other, just out-last the zombies and kill are. There needs to be a real incentive for them to kill each other, like if a specific amount don't die within a time frame double that amount will die? Not sure
You could make a larger map and make it so that people who go solo get supply drops every now and then. Not sure if that would be possible but would be interesting. I'm pretty sure that also happened in the movies at least. Would be cool to see a map with more nature and less houses, police stations esp, I think that would create more violence due to the lack of weapons and food etc., and if the top suggestion is implemented, would encourage even more people to go solo. I think it would be fair because solo's will naturally have less people helping them both when wounded and in fights. And so minor med, tool, weapon (nothing overpowered) and ammo supply drops would make it easier for people to go it alone. Another interesting thing would be if there are mods that would allow new classes. Like say a class that has bonuses (stealth, movement speed) when in woods, making them a perfect stalk and kill solo type class. I haven't played Zomboid in a while so not sure if there is a class like this.
To prevent those big teams.. Lowered stats for every X players u were around for last X minutes. Working the same as being around dead bodies kind off. OR Make bigger groups attract more zombies the bigger you are as a group.
You should cut the prize pool to $250 for the last one alive and $50 for players with the most kills so it people would wanna fight more at start.......love your videos btw I have seen all steam vods and videos 🎉❤
You could do rewards for different types of kills. A reward for things like; - hit & run with a car. -Kill player(s) with fire/explosive. -a rock. just rewards for kills/ creative/ stylized kills.
I think if you make the rewards for kills be on the bodies of the dead players then it won’t disincentivize teams as much because the team would be likely to get the rewards and not the player that gets the kill.
First to ten kills should win $50 that will make it more intense early and that person should be named so people know how dangerous he is. Also should have a stat board with how many kills each person has
i think if people start forming up in larger groups than 4 or 5 then you should start spawning zombies around them slowly at first but ramp it up the more people gather
out of the 300, the winner gets 200 and every player is killed is worth 1 dollar, so even if you don't win if you get some kills earn some cash. BUT you have to kill a minimum of of players to get any money. players killed by other means than other players, or player kills under 5, that money goes to winner also.
You should have like a side pot for the MVP people like omen, so like 200 for a win and 100 for mvp, or like 100 for win 100 for number of kills and 100 for mvp
Mod like that would be near impossible to implement because it’s kind of a gamble if it rewards the aggressor with a “kill” or considers it a “passive death”.
Can you bind ammo to someone's inventory?? Like unable to drop or transfer?? If so, you can give a certain amount of ammo to each player, then one can only get them from a body (killing). And there are NO ammo on the map. Or something like that.
In hunger games they create mini events like the hounds they release or the killerbees. I don't know if it may be possible to mod them in (could be the special zombie mod) and then they target the largest player density
Look man I know you want to be fair and everything but you can do that for civ events, for hunger games you gotta down the pop for groups to three, or have it like if nobody has died in a while then someone is going to randomly die so it forces people to be more bloodthirsty making it so everyone has a ticking timebomb. The more they don't kill after a while lets say 10 or 15 minutes, then either them or someone else is going to randomly have there head explode, even have it that the more you kill the beefy you get in loot and health. Love the vids man, for civ events you can be normal, but for hunger games or last man standing you gotta be a little cruel and ruthless to urge people to murder each other and I know your going to get people complaining but ey.. all I got to say is if ya don't like it then don't play it, wait for another event.
25:40 "how to i not make them human?" i mean we can tell you, but that may increase your odds of getting banned or into a deep pit of actual drama. your channel, your content, your income, your life. so you make the choice.
You could have another prize for the highest kill count. Money is a great motivator and not needing to survive encourages recklessness.

BUT you have to kill a minimum of of players to get any money. players killed by other means than other players, or player kills under 5, that money goes to winner also.
what about charity event in this format. btw made me play this game again thx to your content. much love from the low countries :)
You should have like a side pot for the MVP people like omen, so like 200 for a win and 100 for mvp, or like 100 for win 100 for number of kills and 100 for mvp
more players nearby should drain their thirst and hunger maybe their health. i'm not sure if there's a mod for that but it'd work great.
A bounty hunter system would fun, player with the most player kills gets X amount of the prize pool :)
you can do a system where kills gain you points and you can buy items to be airdropped like in the hunger games.
Be hilarious if a squad just went boot party right off the start lol
To incentivise killing, you could have a cash reward for most kills (even if that player isn't the overall winner).
bojangles for captain!
tru
1 kill - Permanent Hydrated status
3 kill - Permanent Well Fed Status
5 kill - Armor or Healing
Mod like that would be near impossible to implement because it’s kind of a gamble if it rewards the aggressor with a “kill” or considers it a “passive death”.
Definitely prison episode needed ❤
Is it possible to make the circle move faster at a certain point? maybe 30 players speed increases or maybe a certain point at the map
nobody: designs an event where players are supposed to kill each other
absolute nobody: says "oh no" when a player is being killed
me:
Implement a bounty system, by killing your bounty number grows, see the system in some online poker tournaments.
Or you get 200 dollars if you win as a team member and 300 if your team was never bigger than 4 and 400 if you win solo
Nah boring idea makes it unfair because some people might not even run into them
Look man I know you want to be fair and everything but you can do that for civ events, for hunger games you gotta down the pop for groups to three, or have it like if nobody has died in a while then someone is going to randomly die so it forces people to be more bloodthirsty making it so everyone has a ticking timebomb.
Split the prize in two. Most kills and the last alive.
legit making money reward for a certain amount of kills or max kills is so brilliant
if there's ONE thing I know, is that axe always wins vs piece of wood, it's like basic stuff man! XD
25:40 "how to i not make them human?" i mean we can tell you, but that may increase your odds of getting banned or into a deep pit of actual drama. your channel, your content, your income, your life. so you make the choice.
Also slow times you should have things set up so you can send like a hoard of clickers and other things like that just to spice it up
Is it possible to increase zombie spawns if players are grouped in more than 5 or something?
you know what would be fun but sadly it's impossible for a mp server, if the zone was actually an enormous zombie horde closing in slowly
43:35 😂😂
