I put my grease in a jar or bowl with a lid and keep it in the refrigerator for cooking scrambled eggs, hamburgers, chicken etc...... gives it good flavor and then I don't have to use so much butter or ghee or oil of some sort. Save money.
Bacon grease is LIQUID GOLD! It is so good to flavor up about anything .. cook onions in it for baked beans . Awesome flavor for any dry beans that you cook . So many uses.. but those are my favorite way to use also when cooking up any greens.. fry up eggs in it .. ok I’ll stop lol .. but try it ,it’ll be so good that you’ll cry for all the bacon grease you never saved and wasted .. also just gotta say that kitchen is just so homey and inviting! Y’all did a great job with designing it!Blessings!💕

what my mom used to do, is save a pasta jar and put the grease from bacon in it . once the jar gets full she threw it in the trash instead of down the kitchen sink.
I am always amazed at how much you get done in a day!! Also I get a kick at the amount of food that you prepare for your big family each meal!! Your energy is inspiring. I'm 67 and it's just my husband and I at home. I have Celiac Disease so I can't eat wheat, rye, or barley. So our food prep is quite different than yours. I did just order my first dehydrator ever!!! Aloha, Jamerril! I was blessed with a SAHM while growing up the 70’s. Pretty much we all did, we just didn’t know how lucky we were. I grew up with 6 in our family. My mom was widowed at 36 and we all pitched all our life to have a good organized life. How blessed was I. You are so awesome in not only keeping your family together, but excelling at it. You have !! When I first saw your channel got i houses ago, you always had to substitute ingredients because you did not realize you were out of something. I used to say to myself. Just buy an extra in the next trip out. Slowly you will build your pantry. And now since you got so scared when pandemic hit and lockdown, you were smart enough to know what you needed to do and went full steam ahead. I am now a family of one in my house and my food pantry will feed me for at least 6 months, and others if need be. I am comfortable with that. I live in a rural area and it is imperative to have on a daily basis that security. I loved when you went on vacations and packed up your whole kitchen. I do that too and I was impressed to see someone else doing it too. Lol Much love and aloha from Hawaii.
I hope you save the grease from the bacon. it is the best way to cook potatoes and just to use for cooking when you need to add oil . I keep mine in a mason jar in the fridge.
I just love your new kitchen! I have 7 kids, 5 grandkids, and I wish I would’ve done the huge island on my remodel! I did get the big oven/stove like yours, and a sub zero refrigerator/freezer that is so big peoples jaws drop when they see it! I think the funniest thing someone said is that multiple bodies could be stored in it 😂…but I didn’t design enough storage space for all of my gadgets (roasters, pressure cookers, etc) I think you did amazing with the storage spaces and everything! It’s just beautiful! If I ever have to redesign a big family kitchen, I’ll think of all the wonderful ideas here. Have a great weekend, Jamerill and family!

The chicken soup is always a win. I often take some of my chicken carcass and strip it down, make a quick stock and add my chicken and cabbage. I'll also add cauliflower and i love to have my soup and have thinly sliced radishes to add raw tonthe hotnsoup for a low carb crunch. ❤🐇💕

When all 7 kids were home they always asked for hamburger soup and homemade bread. I made it just like you except of course I used lean ground beef, home canned stewed tomatoes. 2 loaves of bread and they are in heaven. 😂❤

Hi Jamerrill Girl you need to get yourself a kitchen cart on wheels with locks, all restaurant’s have them, to transfer your pots to and from your stove and trays of things and stuff around your kitchen. You will save your back and for safety. We used them a lot when I was cooking in nursing homes. I see you working hard I have you in my prayers. Take care ❤

I often purchase the Bagels from Dollar Tree . They are a great price and good quality. In fact I so not bother buying them anywhere else. So, I was surprised you did not stock up on 10 or more packages. They can always be frozen for a quick snack, to eat for breakfast or lunch or dinner When I worked [ retired now ] I made my lunch for the next day, had my coffee and breakfast ready, clothes laid out and any items I needed to take with me. Really saves time when things can be done ahead. This is why I like your videos because it gives me ideas on how to save money, time and energy

Hi JamerrillI I also make chicken broth from my rotisserie chickens and we have a lot of them now as I got an air fryer oven and it has a rotisserie function on it, and it saves me running to Costco for the chicken lol, have a blessed and happy week love from Scotland UK xoxoxox
When ww had evening activities we would do a quick sandwich and reheat something when we got home. I would cook earlier in the day or leftovers the night before. Being there are only 4 of use doubling a meal or baking 2 casseroles wasnt that much extra work if I planned ahead. Of course in cooler months i would throw bread in the bread maker & start a crockpot of soup earlier in the day & we could eat that. Most of our evening activities involved at least some physical activity so they were always starving. Eating supper at 4 & not eating 2nd supper would never work. Lol.
I have to say I know y'all are a team and all your kids do chores an help great but that Zion ever since I've watched and he was a little fellar he has always always been there helping you or Travis with some chore so heartwarming Zion great job you are a awesome Son always there helping your Family Beautiful young Man!
That chicken and veggie soup is a great gluten free recipe too! I always grab a Costco chicken each trip and usually freeze the broth and leftover meat separately for various recipes but this is a great easy one to put together at once!
My son did Taekwondo when he was young. He started at 7 yrs. old and was a black belt at age 10. He then decided to learn to play guitar 🎸. He is amazing on the guitar. He also played Viola in the orchestra in middle school. He is very gifted in music. Today he is a detox nurse. He takes his son to Cub Scouts. I am proud of my boys. I’ve never tried the Italian dressing on a roast. Great idea. I have done it on ribs or wings on the grill though and that’s delicious too. You amaze me with that gift of energy and patience you have. So wonderful to share time with you.

You would have to use your big roaster for all the potatoes you need, but we put the roast on top of the potatoes, makes them taste yummy.

I often purchase the Bagels from Dollar Tree . They are a great price and good quality. In fact I so not bother buying them anywhere else. So, I was surprised you did not stock up on 10 or more packages. They can always be frozen for a quick snack, to eat for breakfast or lunch or dinner
When I worked [ retired now ] I made my lunch for the next day, had my coffee and breakfast ready, clothes laid out and any items I needed to take with me. Really saves time when things can be done ahead. This is why I like your videos because it gives me ideas on how to save money, time and energy

Hi JamerrillI I also make chicken broth from my rotisserie chickens and we have a lot of them now as I got an air fryer oven and it has a rotisserie function on it, and it saves me running to Costco for the chicken lol, have a blessed and happy week love from Scotland UK xoxoxox
When ww had evening activities we would do a quick sandwich and reheat something when we got home. I would cook earlier in the day or leftovers the night before. Being there are only 4 of use doubling a meal or baking 2 casseroles wasnt that much extra work if I planned ahead. Of course in cooler months i would throw bread in the bread maker & start a crockpot of soup earlier in the day & we could eat that. Most of our evening activities involved at least some physical activity so they were always starving. Eating supper at 4 & not eating 2nd supper would never work. Lol.
I have to say I know y'all are a team and all your kids do chores an help great but that Zion ever since I've watched and he was a little fellar he has always always been there helping you or Travis with some chore so heartwarming Zion great job you are a awesome Son always there helping your Family Beautiful young Man!

That chicken and veggie soup is a great gluten free recipe too! I always grab a Costco chicken each trip and usually freeze the broth and leftover meat separately for various recipes but this is a great easy one to put together at once!
My son did Taekwondo when he was young. He started at 7 yrs. old and was a black belt at age 10. He then decided to learn to play guitar 🎸. He is amazing on the guitar. He also played Viola in the orchestra in middle school. He is very gifted in music. Today he is a detox nurse. He takes his son to Cub Scouts. I am proud of my boys. I’ve never tried the Italian dressing on a roast. Great idea. I have done it on ribs or wings on the grill though and that’s delicious too. You amaze me with that gift of energy and patience you have. So wonderful to share time with you.
