My church is going to sing this next week for homecoming. We are speeding things up a bit.
Thanks Edwin. I was there this past Saturday. It was a 3 hr drive but worth it. Will be back. I have discovered that FBC in nearby Cleveland Tn has 4 of these each year. Next one is May 17th I will search these out. Thanks for the info.
Mike Harvey I am so glad you were able to make it, I wish I could have met you. Maybe next year, maybe in heaven, This singing is as close to heaven I have ever experienced on earth. I have challenged many people on You Tube to come to these heavenly singings. If you live near Cleveland, you are near some of my relatives in Dalton, GA, Don't be confused by my You Tube name. My full name is Winston Edwin Miolen/lPlyler,.I chose Edwin Miolen in remembrance of my dad (same name) who was one of the Milo Twins.. Encourage others to attend this heavenly singing.. Edwin Miolen Thanks. We are currently not on FB as my wife wanted to stop for a while. I will look for yours. We have a FB for my son's bluegrass band Mountain Cove. You can find us there. I have found out that there are Hymn Sings in Cleveland Tn. I am going to go there next month. FBC in Cleveland. We would love to meet you next year!
Who is the choir director on this song?
That gentleman is Dr. Devin Stevenson. He is the president of a college in M=
issouri. He was minister of music at the Sumiton Church of God in Alabama. T=
hey usually have hundred or more in there choir. He is very talented and a g=
reat motivator. I attended the four annual Red Back Hymnal Singing at Garden=
dale and it was the best yet. Dr. Stevenson was there again this year. Make y=
our plans to attend next year. Mark your calendar, April 16. See you there.
