So if anything, Dean was different because of hell, and that was Kripke's storytelling.
@@christinejanis6552 yeah, I know. Of course he was different after Hell. I’m just saying, after Season 5, the show doesn’t have the same magic and intimate feeling that it had, in my opinion. The grunge lighting changed, there weren’t that many classic rock songs I think etc, etc.

Despite going through such incredible character development, they undid all of that in the finale and then killed him because fate and shit, what this show did to Dean and Cas is criminal.
He’s such an adorable childish goof and I’ll love him and his dumbass humour forever.
