the problem with this is that there’d constantly be staff either in the garden or cleaners inside cleaning etc. I feel like they’d get in the way a lot or at times you’d feel like ur not rlly alone. I’d prefer a bit smaller a house with a lot smaller garden that doesn’t need as much work. Obviously it’s nice to have bare plants and trees etc but i’d much rather just a flat plain grass garden where i can do stuff

@@DatBoiGloomy ye but i’d rather a slightly smaller house personally which doesn’t need staff constantly, if a cleaner can come like a couple days a week for a few hours it’s fine but think about it there’d always be people about either doing the pool, the garden, the cleaning

So in America, you can write off a percentage of your taxes for your house for work/office deduction! So the reason why a lot of videos are posted about houses/cars/etc. can be in the proportion of getting deductions on your house/car/etc. Even breakfast/lunch/dinners can be written off if they qualify as work related (not exactly sure how but I know you can do that!). Especially for someone who puts money into paying a good tax person can find "loopholes" for you to save money.

haha jokes on simon, my bedroom is so small that the bed fills out 90% of the room.
I get that people didn't like the last part but it actually resonated with me as someone who didn't start studying to become a software engineer until I was like 25, which is a lot later than I think is "normal". I woke up one day and just went.. "I am not happy with what I am doing." and decided to change it, now I am an engineer. Will never have that type of hosue thought but I am definitely happy working as a software engineer and programming in my favorite language cpp (c++).

His motivational talk is all well and good and lots of millionaires say stuff like "chase your dreams". Dreams rarely pay bills is the harsh reality of it. With the whole thing of thanking: I think it comes across as weird because there a few things happening. First, many people feel jealous of TH-camrs (or other influencers) because they see it as if they have made money too easily,, so then they guilt trip you into constantly thanking the fans/watchers, etc, to make up for it. Then, on the other side, the TH-camr thanking the fans is off-putting to them and might not come across 100% genuine because you DID put in the work, and it was your job, so while it's a two way street where the content maker produces stuff that others watch, it's not like you *completely* owe them the fact that they watched. People see it as an unfair job because it's very well paid over the hours put in, but that's not the creators fault, that would be on the company (or the economic system, etc). A person that has worked their ass off at different jobs or whatever, they are not thanking them on their knees for everything they have, because they know they also earned it. So this thing of having TH-camrs thanking is a little unnatural. Its nice to know you are thankful and are aware that it's not only up to you, and you appreciate people following your journey, but it doesn't take away from your actual work.
I do think that because there are so many TH-camrs that make TRASH content and still have so many followers, therefore still make so much money, it creates this culture of putting all TH-camrs into a box of easy-money makers. But obviously it's not the case. And don't get me wrong, personally I find it ridiculous that people can accumulate so much money in general, but that's another conversation and I know it's not the individual TH-camrs fault when that is the case.

The only thing that sucks for Jake is he built his career on a certain persona that isn’t actually him. He’s talked about it before with Logan and some podcasts. He’s said he regrets creating the persona because he feels like it’s trapped him into having to act a certain way when the camera is on. The people closest to him have said that in private, he’s more introverted and keeps quiet a lot. He’s acknowledged he probably wouldn’t have succeeded if he was himself, but it’s screwed him over. Hopefully, as he gets older, he starts showing his real self. We saw a bit of it when he was around Anderson Silva. It’ll just be tough to maintain his audience if he’s his normal, quiet self.
