Ms. Lauryn Hill not only sings a bomb ass verse, she then turns around and spits a fiery verse that ripped the very fabric of the Hip Hop realm and left a permanent rupture in it. Classic legendary masterpiece....
Cool Homie....👍
Yeah that verse was some real live dragon ball z type shit
Lauren Hill's mother was my English teacher and my homeroom teacher in 7th and 8th grade, back then called Broadway junior high and later renamed Luis Munoz Marin middle School in Newark, New Jersey. I will never forget one day that I was playing hooky and she saw me outside from the window of my class and she ratted me out to my mother who subsequently gave me a historical ass whooping that made me never want to ever play hooky again. Thank you Mrs. Hill! 😂😂😂
😊
Newark in this bitch!!
I hope that ratting you out made you a much better adult. Ijs
Man Lauren was often credited for being a great singer (and she is) but man she gets overlooked as a rapper . She could put rappers now days to shame!
Does she get overlooked as a rapper? She's easily top 5 female MCs of all time.
Yes She CAN MATE X
Its because her attitude and racism..and politics back yhen to her crew and others
.
That did her out.
Shes a beautiful woman talented but to big for her own shit and kept it get to her..
She im sure is humbled now down a couple peggs.
Love this group and so.g rocked this shit every minute..esp all old schools like nas and wu tang going way back to 80s too $hort and nwa..to schooly d, to fat boys juice crew.
Thats my age..
Luaran was way to political and it backfire..sad.
My opinion from m what I saw in the scene.
The new rappers to laura bu hahahahahha she Legend coz
She was on Forbes 🤐🧐
90s were the shit
i agree 100%

A timeless masterpiece. Greetings from Poland.

Word✌🌎
Lauren. Lauryn. Hill. Queen. Nevermind I'll be over here.
God bless you😌💙💜💋
Lauryn hill literally changed the game for women in the rap game her 90's version talent is still unmatched today I can literally remember my mom playing her music almost every day back when I was a younging and the older I've gotten I can clearly see why 🥰 so I thank you for being apart of my childhood Ms L Boogie 💐💐💐
cant complain I grew up in a golden era of hip hop that will never repeat itself again
Luis Vasquez me too. Est. 1980
Luis Vasquez I share the same sentiment. This song is unmatched by any trap song floating out there. So sad how true rap and hip hop went extinct and died out in the mainstream...
Jenner Fornos yeah....
History always repeats itself bro.

Facts
Music today can't compare to anything in the 90s after 2000 music went way down hill
Just natural art! Kills it every time she sings!! Even in sister act move one of my favorite songs!
And it's 2021 and still a hit! 😎

Love Lauren Hill. Her voice is one of a kind.
True nostalgia your hearing right here! I remember long evening drives to JFK airport in NYC to pick up relatives with my older brother when I was a kid many of times and we would jam out to this while driving through Staten Island on our way to the airport. Memories.
Good pfp brother 🔥
I totally understand your comment !!! Newark airport for us in jersey. Waiting on shoulders with the car on and leaving after cops come to usher you out.
they played this hole album from start to finish in a cafe in amsterdam, haha fucking incredible.
Fugees was different 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Time machine time, music had soul in the 90s

Don't even put Lauryn hill and nikki trash oh I mean Minaj in the same sentence.
Classic remember this growing up
Ooh la la la, this song is better than 2020 mumble crap coming out today.
You spilled
lauren hill is a teacher through her music
Lauren went the hardest on the one
This takes me back to my prime college days and that's all I'm going to say about that. 😏 Had this album on repeat and this song still has one of the sickest beats and bass lines that will ever exist. Ever. Also this is Lauryn Hill in her prime IMO.
Chorus is so clean
I remember switching Immature and Fugees posters in 7th grade. I'm almost 40 now. Good ol days 😌💋💜💙🇭🇹
Going hard in 2021! Will always love Fugees and most importantly Awesome Miss Lauryn Hill🖤🖤🖤🖤
White ,English and from England this was my first ever album 🤛
This beat is on another level till this day
"Cause im superfly when im super high on that fu-gee-laaaaaaaaaa" Lauryn was and still is a beasttt !
Jocelyn Gabrielle Definitely. The verse she delivers on this track is nothing short of legendary... Girl had skills
Xavier F. She made this song and the group TBH
I sang the chorus of this outa nowhere with Lauryn Hill voice on my mind and sang it to my man and asked him to continue the phrase and he sang Trey songz song -_- lol smh what a dissapointment! Haha
Make him start listening to real rap
Jessica Zuluaga cheat on him
Jessica Zuluaga ...is the way that we rock, when we're doing our thing...
Let him think about it, while we do it
Jessica Zuluaga Divorce him
+Jessica Zuluaga Get the funk in his veins
At 9 years old this was the first album I ever owned (not bought)..that was down to my mum.god bless her I asked..she bought..THE SCORE..what a 1st album to have when it came out....

1 of my favorite songs EVER!
Just close your eyes especially when Lauryn Hill raps
it's like the 90s was had golden nuggets everywhere on tracks those artist can never be matched from the 90s.
01/11/2020
who else is listening in 2020?
You know
I’ve been looking for this song for like 5 yrs
damn Lauryn Hill is dope A.F.
QueenBi42 She is. She definitely got down on this track and demonstrated her lyrical genius
QueenBi42 she was phenomenal on this album
Even artists in the 90s have songs that come from another decade altogether. It's nothing to get mad over or make a big deal about. Just enjoy the music. Vibe.
Meanwhile, while Nicki Minaj and remy ma are arguing who's the 👸 Lauren Hills flow is the real goat. Let's not even discuss Eve, Missy Elliot, Da Brat, shall I continue?? Oooh la la...
Yesss 👑💃💯📣

The first & best concert to date I’ve ever gone to, 1997. The first & best music album I’ve ever purchased, I was 17 (40 now) and still have. The next best thing in music I’ve had is from Michael Jackson. There’s something about the Fugees. And this album cover Art is the bomb.
This song is timeless, excellent to the present day.
82 people are entitled to their opinion...
But so am I, and I think their crazy.
they're crazy
Great song and album. I was 19 when this came out. In my prime ;)

ray ascencio I was a bit younger at 14 but I definitely enjoyed this jam. I used to live in Lil Haiti in Miami so I would practically hear it everywhere. This was a Golden Age for Rap and Hip Hop
My senior year in high school... emphasis on the high...

Dear music gods, give us back true hip hop and you can have every "rapper" born after 2000. PLEASE 🙏
L Boogie,Wyclef,Pras ,man oh man,the group was dope
I remember listening to this in my twenties right before my daughter was born...so nostalgic.
GROW TO FUGEES ERA, FUGEES IN MY BLOOD TILL NOW
Even here in UK the fugees were so loved back in the days. This track still holds up good in 2023. Lauryn Hill my fave female artist of all time

WOW its good to read a post that understands what was put forth to the masses.Fugees were groundbreaking.I would only be able to compare this group to John Legend,The Roots,Alicia Keys even Adele,Corinne Bailey Raye.Rare!
This classic never dies
We need music and messages (in the present) like the Fugees were dropping back then.
This song is real hip hop

I worked at bb fashions for 19 years ok, 1981-2000. As a buyer I went to school for that too, ok I used to travel around to LA and Chicago, going to stores, getting paid to buy cool clothes for bb fashions, I loved that job, we used o go to the clubs too
So many fond memories from the 90s, both good and bad. But for the most part fun!
