RM wrote this in a park, you're right, this "Song Of The Year" hasn't left the top 100 Gaon chart since then..The captain + 3 crew members were rescued first (rescuers didn't know) and was convicted along w/11 members to a lesser degree, the rest weren't charges,, the vp of the school was rescued but a few days later, but overwhelmed w/grief, he committed suicide..nkThe prev. president wasn't found (to be notified of the tragedy) for 7 hrs, they found she was having an affair w/a sub-ordinate, then investigation found corruption/fraud, so she was "fired", when divers found the kids' bodies, many w/torn nails & bruise from trying to climb out of their watery graves😢😢 (there's a deeper explanation vid by "ItalianArmy- What Zhou Still Don $t Know About Spring Day, that shows a pic of the captain in sborts, stepping towards a rescue boat, etc)..Police also looked for the owner of the Fery co, days later found his dead body (later investigation was found that this was a substitute captain w/40 yrs experience who let this happen, had also signed off on the cargo, knowing it was too heavy/unbalandec..The original captain had warned the co many times, about inconsistent loading/balance/capacity probkems & there were work orders, but nothing was done yet, etc, it really all was a tragedy😢😢
As a Korean, I and most Korean whoever watch this MV will definitely believe the 'Sewol theory'. Coz the time of clock in a laundry room is the same time the ferry started to sink rapidly and Yellow ribbon means Ferry Tragedy here in Korea. And Rm said he made the song for missing friends and COMFORT many people as well. When BTS released this song they donated to the family. One of the student's dad said in twitter that thanks to BTS for coming the tragedy place silently at late night and also thanks for making this song bcoz his daughter was BTS fan so she would lilke it in the heaven. I've watched all of ur BTS reactions n really thanks for loving the members..n their music as well. Especially thanks for focusing on their lyrics.. translated lyrics are not exact that much but still..one of the most important part in BTS music is lyrics. Be safe n hav a great day .. sorry for my bad English thou ^^;;
Omg, your English is so good, though! Thank you for your perspective about the references to the Sewol tragedy. I saw those signs and couldn't believe anyone would deny the connection, but wondered what Koreans felt. Stay healthy and well! I would so much rather be in Korea right now than the US! Lol 😂💜
Yeah, this was before President Park was removed from office. BH & BTS had to be cautious in how they portrayed the meaning, or it never would have been approved. They would not have aired the video, nor would they have been able to perform the song in music shows. After her impeachment, it was revealed that the president had added BTS’ name to a blacklist because they had donated money to the families of the victims. Can’t help but love & respect these guys who make it a point to stand & speak for something. 💜
250 students from Danwon High School died in the tragedy on 16th of April, 2014, while the captain and most of 14 crew members abandoned the ship. I remember that that although I am not from Korea, because my daughter who was a kpop lover since 2010, told me about it and we both cried for days watching the news online! It is so sad, so many young lives lost because they just followed the instructions from the captain and remained in their cabins. I always cry when I hear this song.
Even if we now know that Yoongi wrote his part about his good friend he lost to drugs, i still think the song was written to comfort everyone who has lost people, for whatever reason, and the biggest reason back then was the Sewol ferry. The video i believe is very much an artistic critique towards a government to allows this sort of thing to happen and tries to pretend it never did.
This song is so hauntingly beautiful. If only ppl would be willing to do some research and find out what their songs are about. They not are not just fluff.
People find bts when they are prepared to really understand their messages, many only stay a little time just for their popularity, but the real army stay for what is inside and bts is so deep that I can't and don't want to get out.
If you didnt know Joon wrote the song while walking in the park and he saw a leaf fall to the ground and that is what inspired him to male the song about that topic...it is on his live he talks more about it...i cried alittle when he was talking about it💔💔💔
Yoongi part in spring day hurt so much more when you listen to D-2 dear my friend I literally tears up every time I stream it ,like I feel I shouldn’t hear it. You will understand when you react to his mixtape
Omelas refers to the short story: The Ones Who Walks Away From Omelas. Omelas is a utopia. It has only advanced so far but the people are relatively happy. When all citizens reach a certain age they are told the truth of their city. The city's constant state of serenity and splendor requires that a single unfortunate child be kept in perpetual filth, darkness, and misery. Jin is the child. He lives in misery and darkness trying to figure out how to make the boys happy. The movie Snowpiercer is also about stagnation and moving forward. No changes happened until you decide to move forward which is part of the idea of growing up and moving on. The snowflake symbolized that spring will soon be coming. You can't get new snow fall if winter is stuck. The clothes are the accumulation from your childhood that Jin saw thru the washing machine. Again something that has to be left behind as you go from child to adult. Kookie seeing himself on the train could mean two timelines meeting again. But it also can mean Kookie saw himself on the train finally letting childhood go and moving on to being an adult. The shoes meant loneliness not death. Ultimately the story line is about being able to let go of your past and childhood to finally become an adult. Jin is trying to find safe ways for the boys to get out of childhood into adulthood with him and be happy.
Exactly even if u dont like bts ..just respect the artists having such meaningful things messages songs ...everyone can get inspiration if they could listen n watch them without hate n jealousy...like suga said u will know us if u listen to us without prejiduice
Someone mentioned below that Yoongi's part was about his friend that went to prison on drug charges which is true but it is even more devastating given how deeply Yoongi felt this pain. Yoongi mentioned that an alternative meaning to First Love was also about losing his friend and on his most recent mixtape D-2 the song Dear My Friend is a song entirely dedicated to this person and it is painful to listen to and think about. Though it is not confirmed in Dear My Friend it seems like Yoongi and his friend had a falling out after he was released from prison and tried to persuade or pressure Yoongi into doing something, it doesn't explicitly state what his friend asked him to do (likely drugs?) but the request was enough for Yoongi to say his friend became a monster. Gosh, Yoongi just must love and feel so deeply and I can't imagine how much it must have hurt him to hang on to the emotions caused by this event/friendship so strongly.
How bts are just so genius ,deep ,concerned about all the situations in the world ,writing the most inspirational ,motivational lyrics....hope ppl get more to their deep meanings ,lyrics ,word play ...i hated rap like those drugs ,girls ,money just ...but when i listened to bts i never taught that words ,lyrics ,voices ,raps can be so healing ,meaningful having amazing messages that no other artist is conveying...
From what I heard most Koreans definitely believe the Sewol theory. I guess that's why Spring Day is the longest charting song in melon in history and has been charting for over 3 years now. The song resonates with the Korean public, especially since the government tried to sweep the tragedy under the rug. The way the former president handled it was so infuriating and one of the (many) reasons why she was removed from office. Like, she had a secret blacklist of all artists who commemorated the sewol victims in their artwork to make sure they wouldn't get any kind of acknowledgment or sponsorship by the government. Disgusting! I'm so proud of Bangtan for not being afraid and releasing their song, to console everyone who's grieving and to remember the victims. They actually risked getting black listed also with Am I Wrong (I think I forgot to mention it in your last album listen, but others probably did :D), which some people believe references the Sewol tragedy aswell (among other things, because a lot has been happening in Korea during that time, it came out shortly before the former president was fired): The phrase “mayday, mayday" in Am I Wrong is said to reference both the nautical distress call and May Day = International Workers’ Day on May 1st. The distress signal was not performed properly during the tragedy, which resulted in so many deaths. And that it was actually even possible for the ferry to sink was blamed largely on lack of enforcement of trade laws and deregulation, which saw the ferry overloading and improperly storing cargo, resulting in South Korean trade unions protesting on the following May 1st. Also Yoongi's line in Am I Wrong "We’re all dogs and pigs" and also Namjoon saying in Intro:Persona "I'm still not so sure if I'm a dog or a pig or what else" references a Korean government official referring to Korean citizens as pigs and dogs who should be treated as such and said that the country needed a caste system “because people are not all born equal.” He was fired too after that came out. Yeah, it's interesting how many (big and small) references they use in their songs, to criticize Korea's government and society.
Your timing is immaculate. Just a couple of days ago, bts were live on their anniversary and they were getting the results for a poll we did of favorite bts songs for certain situations and almost all the answers were spring day lol it was so funny. Army and the boys know that its _that_ song for us. The undefeated queen. With such a breathtaking mv meaning and lyrics.. they recently played that song twice in special events after not doing so in years. It just makes you cry 😭 so ethereal
What always gets me and makes me burst into tears are the videos the students they posted on social media about how they are facing this slight 'inconvenience' as they were told by the crew. The kids were laughing and playing while the ship slowly sunk. They were there for hours, could have been easily rescued if the correct evacuation plan would have been used. The person who rescued the few survivors committed suicide after few years as he was tortured by the guilt of not being able to rescue everyone... It is a shame that the captain did this. He put hundreds of lives on the line just to ensure his own safety and did not even inform the kids the gravity of the situation It was too late by the time they realised something was seriously wrong 😭😭😭
I lost alot of my childhood friends and loved ones, they are in heaven now and this songs is a mirror of my feelings and it'll always hold a special place in my heart. I'll always be grateful to BTS for making this.
Your closing discussion was so powerful. That is what set you apart from so many reactors or fans out there and that’s why I’ve been sticking around since your first reactions. Thank you.
Spring Day is like that one fly in your house. Just when u forgot about it and are about to sleep, it shows up again and starts buzzing till you can’t ignore it anymore
One of the reasons spring day is still charting in SK is because the general public is also love the song & know da meaning behind it.. It's not just bts fans stream it.. All SK streams it💜💜💜 I made da mistake of watching a documentary about this tragedy & it was heart breaking cause they showed the ferry from da moment it start drowning & they showed da phones & suitcases of da students & a couple of victims parents were interviewed.. It was just too much..💔
I completely agree with y'all in meanings to songs. I play this one when I visit my mom. BH senior Lee Hyun once was asked what was his favorite song by his juniors and he said Spring Day because he said the lyrics as simple as they are, were the most comforting.
The first time watched and listen to Spring Day it became my favorite song of theirs and the reason why I became their fan. After I watched the explained videos I never loved Spring Day the way I first heard it. Spring Day symbolizes that there is hope in every hard times that we take. Thank you for you reaction.
Ok I will write this... Listen normaly I don't look at video reaction because I am fan of bts only and try to avoid mixing with other fans because of the fan wars but you 2 too guys are the most genuine people I have seen here on internet. Keep it on 💜💜
I was waiting for this ^^. Oh god I cried so much when I saw this for the first time to, this song is so beautiful, definitely deserves to be called queen. 💜
Spring Day. What can I say other than this song has been quite memorable in my life since it’s release. I genuinely tear up everytime it comes on and it is my go to song to cry my eyes out (release of emotion is hard for me, and it’s not good to keep it in). Even with a reaction video I’m crying 😂😅. It’s hard not to when I think about the people I’ve lost in my life, the song just hits you in the feels. Everything about the song is just... beautiful. I graduated this year with my BA after such a struggle and when BTS sang this song for the graduating class of 2020 I was beside myself. They haven’t performed it since 2017 and that made it all the more meaningful when thinking of what the world is going through. The song really does bring comfort and release. Long live Queen Spring Day 💜💜
Every single time...Spring Day never fails to make me cry, the queen has been on top of the charts since the day of its release (2017) 💜 there are actually vids up on yt of the students that were on the ferry, I watched it...it's really heartbreaking to watch, but after watching those videos I feel like "Spring Day" is more meaningful, Spring day is a beautiful song, to show us how beautiful the students and other people that were in the incident, remain in our memories 💜
when i saw the explained video a lot of things got me specially when they mention the suitcases and jin being the one who passed away. Spring day is such a beautiful song. guys please watch something happy before going to bed you have been seeing a lot of sad things you need to cheer up :) i love you when you guys cry i cry TT
The suitcases left behind, Jin looking up as others went on in life & hearing the words, "your my best friend", & when the others join Jungkook & he's not alone in this fight, are the ones that get me the most . Then to watch such sensitive reactions from the both of you , it just made me tear up watching your emotions welling up. You two are beautiful souls.
Spring Day is a National and international treasure as it comforts the mass population . this is reflect in the charts as it is the longest charting song on Melon ,Spring Day raises and climbs the Charts Every comeback our Eternal Queen👑👸 . The song and MV is such a beautiful tragedy that tugs your heart strings I cry everytime I listen to it and it is my one favourite songs ever and is so irreplaceable. And is definitely One of BTS' Hit songs and the General Korean public love it . Also according to the poll ARMYs did , Spring Day is our fandom's favourite song 💜💜💜😭😭😭
I may not be Korean but when the Sewol tragedy first happened I was shell shocked - at how the kids have been left behind and how terrified and helpless they must've felt. When Spring Day was released and I found out what it may have represented, I cried. Thanks to Namjoon who sat at the park one day, wrote the lyrics and gave a voice to the survivors.
Your totally right, even if you don't like bts music and it's not your thing we just ask people to at least be respectful, we don't expect you to like them, just respect them as artists and human beings
This is such a beautiful song that’s why many korean GP love this because they can relate and BTS really is genius in creating this song. After i watched this MV way back i also watch the documentary about the Sewol Ferry Tragedy and the videos of the students who was stuck inside the ferry just waiting to what will happen to them which really broke my heart those poor students they did not deserved all of it.
Those clothes =memories. The mountains built with the clothes = all the memories with friends. The seats where the members sit = they are all in different places.
If you ever get the chance to watch on your own time and, get the tissues ready, What Went Wrong in the South Korean Ferry Disaster | The New Yorker. This video is heart-wrenching to see the students, parents, and divers. You will see the captain getting off the ship and leaving behind the students. It's unbelievable to see that this type of thing happening.
Hello girls, thank you for this video! I was really crying again with you girls.due to the explained video. I love this song so much but... it always makes me remember my loved ones that I've lost. I know it's about the tragedy but... anyone who has lost someone dear to them can relate to this song and remember the people they've loved and are no longer with them. I think this song is like an anthem to find solace and peace after the loss, after that despair that comes with the realization that your loved one will not come back but will live in your memories... thank you so much for making me remember all this that otherwise I wouldn't want to watch on my own. Cheers and see you girls on your next video!
For me this is one of the most important songs BTS has done and it's a great way to introduce people to their message through music. Not to compare it to their other work, but the MV isn't overly over the top (I love that too!) but this particular song has a really somber feeling while allowing us to feel the hurt that comes with loss. Grief is natural and overcoming it is harder than we think but Spring Day allows us to be hurt and hopeful because it won't last forever. The explained video can't be seen by enough people since for me, personal opinion again, it really shows that the boys are so much more than your typical "boy group who doesn't even speak English, kpop group". This kind of message is what made me love them the way I do and it's very hard not to cry whenever I listen to our queen of all songs. Edit: Yoongi's verse hits me in the heart because I can relate to what he's talking about with the anger but not wanting to lose any aspect of the person because you did love them. It's heartbreaking.
Yeah, I’ve just accepted the fact that when ever I listen to Spring Day I just sob uncontrollably 🥺😭🥺It is so beautiful, heartbreaking and uplifting. Hands down one of my favorite songs from them 💜💜💜
It's 10 am and I woke up a few hours ago with very sad news (my dog passed away) and I thought: I know what this is about, it'll be fine, and as soon as the lyrics started I was a mess of tears... This song is beautiful, I'm so proud of being army. Love you girls
This really hit me hard like I cried cause I never knew what this was about and that is wrong cause the parents needed closure but they kept them in the dark and that was messed up I really cried at the part when I saw the clothes and what the clothes meant and I agree with everything y’all said about bts and there music like there music helps people and that’s all I gotta say cause I’m crying rn so sorry I wanted to say more
I actually watched a documentary about the tragedy recently and I couldn't stop crying, and I got so mad... all those lives could have been saved, I can't even begin to imagine the kind of anguish their families must have been living with when their children could have been saved but they died trapped in the ocean... and they showed some of the messages the kids sent to their parents, and some were them just saying "Mom, dad, I miss you" while they were trapped and it's just so heartbreaking... the "stay there a while longer until I can get to you" got a whole another meaning after that and it really breaks my heart
If you are interested, there is a documental named "In Absence" about the tragedy. There are some videos in youtube very, very, very tought with videos recorded by the victims while the ferry tilted and drowned. I can't watch it till the end
My friend died in the sewol ferry accident. I was so angry at my govt for not doing much about it. I felt wronged that nothing could be done for the one person in my life who gave me reasons every day as to why i should stay alive. I didn’t have alot of confidence because i had a really bad childhood, and i didn’t want to live and my friend gave me reasons every day to live on. And now he’s dead. My govt did nothing. Nobody in teh sewol accident got justice, until artists within kpop and BTS spoke out. They requested justice, they gave justice and i am happy. I am now a fan of BTS, i had always known about them since their debut, but since then i have become a strong fan! -Jaejoong Baek
Hi, I am back. Good reaction. I love this song. It's so beautiful. I did not cry when I heard the song or saw the video for the 1st time. It did touch my heart though. One of my fav's for sure. The first time I heard the song was in Dear Class Of 2020. I hope u watched it too. It's awesome. I loved this performance a lot. Spring Day for me is a sad hopeful song. I get melancholy feels from it. So glad u watched BTS Spring Day MV EXPLAINED by bulletproof vibes. It's so good. There are a few explanation videos. Some have more detail than the others. This song is a Queen because it's on the charts so many years. Stores play it in Korea because ppl want to remember and never forget. BTS made this one to help ppl remember. I think that's just amazing! stay safe. -2019 ARMY NY USA 💜
Even though I already saw the explained video many times but still the moment they will show the abandoned clothes and suitcases that represents the victims I can't help but cry all over again. This is just so sad and tragic.
Queen Spring Day! 😭 Thank you for this beautiful and sincere reaction. I love you both! If it'd be all right, may I please share a few thoughts with you? (1) I think it's really difficult to deny that this song is about the tragedy because, on top of the lyrics and the video, it came out coupled with Not Today, which has lyrics inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech at Spelman College. (If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl.) And just a few weeks later, Joon and Wale's collab song, Change, was released and that song is also about societal injustices also. (2) When Jungkook is standing in front of the carousel and decides to run, there are yellow ribbons tied behind him. The yellow ribbon was a symbol of the Sewol Ferry Tragedy. (3) Also, when he arrives at the laundry room, the clock is set to 9:35 AM and that's the time that the coast guard boats first arrived at the sinking ship. (I also thought the washing machines represented the boat windows/portholes, but maybe that's just me.) (4) The shoes... gosh... after the children died, parents started to bring the sneakers of their lost children to the port with messages written on the shoes that they wanted to send to heaven to their children. (5) I don't think Tae was feeling suicidal on the tracks. I think he was waiting for the train that will never arrive, just like the families who waited for the ferry that never arrived. The train was a metaphor for the ferry ship. (6) Regarding the BU, I think you're right that Jin is taking pictures of the boys like he does in the storyline MVs. That's why I think in the scene where he's at the bottom of the stairs and the boys are running up, he actually represents the family and friends who survived and the other boys represent the children who died, just like many of them do in the storyline. I can't wait for you to watch the dance practice because it is truly stunning and there are more connections there with the tragedy. Thank you again for a lovely reaction. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos! 💜💜💜
Are you going to react to the 2020 TH-cam Graduation thing? They perform Spring Day live which is the superior version because Hobi has lines! (They give him half of Joon's and half of Jin's--he just does back up vocals in the studio version (and there are a lot of them and it's beautiful but his vocals are really something special so it's worth checking out a live!)). So anyway, I hope you'll react to the commencement so you can hear him on the track! :)
Have u ever heard/watched their acceptance speech RM made when they won Song of the year (album of the year) at 2017 (was it 2016) MMA? It is the only reference to its meaning. RM is so amazing. Thx girls
I think they are actually reopening the case, as the captain didn't reserve the right amount of time as well as the crew. They need far more years added. There is such a heartbreaking video out of the student's last words. I cried so hard hearing it sink in for some of them that no one was coming to save them. They tried to joke, saying how they will remember this experience and that there was no way they were actually going to die. But then, it really sunk in and they started talking about all the things they didn't get to do yet. One boy at the time was thinking of all his anime he hadn't gotten to finish, another said who is going to take care of his sister now if he's gone and that if they found the video for her to not go on class trips. That he did not want her to go on any class trips. Some worried about their teachers. They had trusted adults so much, listen to them when they said to stay where they were, and do nothing. All the while the Captain and his crew had saved themselves. Some of their words were "I have a dream, I want to live" "I don't want to die, I want to survive." Like it hit them so hard, and I cried and cried for so long.
For myself, I do not think the 'song' was written about the tragedy, as RM has explained his thoughts when he wrote it, but the MV is and he added that he hoped it would 'comfort' people. Plus if you add that another one of the recovery divers committed suicide a few months before the MV came out, that may have been a motivator. I disagree with the first scene of the explained, with Tae on the train tracks though. If you have never lived near train tracks you may not know that, if you put your ear to the track you can hear if a train is coming even it is still kilometer's away. I think the scene simply is Tae listening to see if a friend is coming, but he hears nothing. But of course that is my own thoughts lol
To add to the sadness, I saw someone saying that the J-hope harmonization in the chorus, we barely can hear his voice, it's because he represents the lost friends, that are there but at the same time aren't. They'll stay in the friend's memories. :(
Even they talked about different story in korea and about their government , but This song in Arab Army has a the same impact 💔 with all war in our countries because of government .
This isn't true. Those students would have graduated February of 2019, which is why there are a Remembrance Graduation Ceremony at their high school at the time. Please do not spread misinformation. It is starting to become disrespectful to the actual survivors by always making it about BTS.
If you want some more details on Sewol (I did after seeing the theories) i have a list. Sort in order of Date Published, oldest to get an idea of the happenings as they were in progress, as well as some fallout. It's not comprehensive, and it's all english or subbed, but it gives you some of the real-time that happened. If you're up for it. th-cam.com/play/PLvC4UzVuW2-Xh-J2V6ifPXmc7vUlsjd5Z.html
Wow this is a comprehensive playlist. I think I'm going to have to be drunk to watch it. 😣 After all your research, have you assessed Italian ARMY's What You Still Don't Know About Spring Day? I consider that the definitive guide to the MV and its connection to the disaster. What do you think,
The whole situation was absolutely terrible, and the more you read into it the more heartbreaking it is. I understand that there are procedures you leave for professionals, but when the average person can see how absolutely flawed the evacuation process was......that's what bothers me the most. They couldn't even do that. If you're interested in reading The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas, you can easily find it online. It's a short story (2-4 pages), so you can easily read it in one sitting.

Yoongi said in Vlive that " spring day" is like a zombie as it remain no1 in chart ever since it is released.
not no.1 but still in the top 100 chart which is crazy
I don't know whether to laugh or cry with that zombie term.
Yes that song is really is a zombie
lol Suga lol
As a Korean, I and most Korean whoever watch this MV will definitely believe the 'Sewol theory'. Coz the time of clock in a laundry room is the same time the ferry started to sink rapidly and Yellow ribbon means Ferry Tragedy here in Korea.
And Rm said he made the song for missing friends and COMFORT many people as well.
When BTS released this song they donated to the family. One of the student's dad said in twitter that thanks to BTS for coming the tragedy place silently at late night and also thanks for making this song bcoz his daughter was BTS fan so she would lilke it in the heaven.
I've watched all of ur BTS reactions n really thanks for loving the members..n their music as well. Especially thanks for focusing on their lyrics.. translated lyrics are not exact that much but still..one of the most important part in BTS music is lyrics.

.. sorry for my bad English thou ^^;;

Raving_Mad wtf? Getting blacklisted for helping the families.... that’s just fkd up
250 students from Danwon High School died in the tragedy on 16th of April, 2014, while the captain and most of 14 crew members abandoned the ship. I remember that that although I am not from Korea, because my daughter who was a kpop lover since 2010, told me about it and we both cried for days watching the news online! It is so sad, so many young lives lost because they just followed the instructions from the captain and remained in their cabins. I always cry when I hear this song.
Taehyung voice hits so much hard and goes to my soul when he sings YOU KNOW IT ALL YOU MY BEST FRIEND ....his voice is must so amazing ,mesmerzing
"No season can last forever" has been the lyric that I've been repeating to myself a lot these days, given the state of the world.
This song is so hauntingly beautiful. If only ppl would be willing to do some research and find out what their songs are about. They not are not just fluff.
Exactly bts are the ones having most concerned ,creative deep motivational songs
People find bts when they are prepared to really understand their messages, many only stay a little time just for their popularity, but the real army stay for what is inside and bts is so deep that I can't and don't want to get out.
Honestly, I seen someone say "BTS doesn't have any emotions in their songs" it made me absolutely livid
Hey bestie. Good to see u here. Adore this one too.
If you didnt know Joon wrote the song while walking in the park and he saw a leaf fall to the ground and that is what inspired him to male the song about that topic...it is on his live he talks more about it...i cried alittle when he was talking about it💔💔💔
Yoongi part in spring day hurt so much more when you listen to D-2 dear my friend
I literally tears up every time I stream it ,like I feel I shouldn’t hear it.
They actually risked getting black listed also with Am I Wrong (I think I forgot to mention it in your last album listen, but others probably did :D), which some people believe references the Sewol tragedy aswell (among other things, because a lot has been happening in Korea during that time, it came out shortly before the former president was fired):
The phrase “mayday, mayday" in Am I Wrong is said to reference both the nautical distress call and May Day = International Workers’ Day on May 1st.
He put hundreds of lives on the line just to ensure his own safety and did not even inform the kids the gravity of the situation
It was too late by the time they realised something was seriously wrong 😭😭😭
I lost alot of my childhood friends and loved ones, they are in heaven now and this songs is a mirror of my feelings and it'll always hold a special place in my heart. I'll always be grateful to BTS for making this.
When it comes to the performances of spring day it also a beautiful choreography😥.
Your closing discussion was so powerful. That is what set you apart from so many reactors or fans out there and that’s why I’ve been sticking around since your first reactions.
Thank you.
💜💜💜
Spring Day is like that one fly in your house. Just when u forgot about it and are about to sleep, it shows up again and starts buzzing till you can’t ignore it anymore
One of the reasons spring day is still charting in SK is because the general public is also love the song & know da meaning behind it.. It's not just bts fans stream it.. All SK streams it💜💜💜
I made da mistake of watching a documentary about this tragedy & it was heart breaking cause they showed the ferry from da moment it start drowning & they showed da phones & suitcases of da students & a couple of victims parents were interviewed.. It was just too much..💔
I love spring day live more than audio version because Hopi gots more line and he always sound so amazing in it
yes agree, and he should've had those lines in the audio version as well
i am soooo used to ur chipmunk voices that get surprised everytime u go back to ur real voices.. wtf.. i love u both 🥰🥰🥰
I completely agree with y'all in meanings to songs.
There will never come a day when this song won't make me emotional 😭 the fact that my bias Namjoon wrote it just gives me another reason to love it
Ok I will write this... Listen normaly I don't look at video reaction because I am fan of bts only and try to avoid mixing with other fans because of the fan wars but you 2 too guys are the most genuine people I have seen here on internet. Keep it on 💜💜
💜💜💜
This is the best of the best reaction. I love it!!! I always love your reaction. Thanks for uploading this video!
This video is the best of the best reaction which I have ever watched. So wonderful reaction for understanding our internality from our life.
when i saw the explained video a lot of things got me specially when they mention the suitcases and jin being the one who passed away. Spring day is such a beautiful song. guys please watch something happy before going to bed you have been seeing a lot of sad things you need to cheer up :) i love you when you guys cry i cry TT
THE QUEEN!!! This song always makes me cry no matter what 😭 I can't wait to see you react to the dance practice the choreo is sooo beautiful 💜
Just a fact for when you react to Yoongi's D-2, his verse in Spring Day and his song Dear My Friend are really connected.
This song is still amazing. I will never stop loving this song
The way you reacted to this video is like I'm seeing a whole Army reaction... It's so honest and kind... Thank you.
💜 You
Spring Day is a National and international treasure as it comforts the mass population . this is reflect in the charts as it is the longest charting song on Melon ,Spring Day raises and climbs the Charts Every comeback our Eternal Queen👑👸 .
This song holds a special place in my heart. I think it does for many people. So beautiful. 💜
the Queen! this is the song that got me into BTS. so watching this MV always make me emotional. 1st song that i memorized too. 💜
Thank you thank you thank you 😊 i still have an hour before going to work so your timing is great~
"you never walk alone" is actually the name of the album
Loved this reaction, spring day is one of my favorite music videos and the explained makes me cry 😭
I cry so much every time I come across the explained video T.T
They truly outdid themselves on this one...a masterpiece.
💜💜💜
yes!! our queen spring day!! the boys turned our queen into a zombie 😭
Hands down one of my favorite songs from them 💜💜💜
My goodness I cry every freakin' time
That's why Spring Day never gets old, it's because of the meaning behind it.💜
This always hits hard...😭
Everytime I hear Tae sing "You know it all, you're my best friend" I get chills. Right in the feels every time
It's 10 am and I woke up a few hours ago with very sad news (my dog passed away) and I thought: I know what this is about, it'll be fine, and as soon as the lyrics started I was a mess of tears... This song is beautiful, I'm so proud of being army.
Love you girls
I understand that sadness and I'm sorry for your loss. Love you too! 💜
OMG if I am ever in Florida I want to meet ya'll and do a reaction. Dream come true!
😊💕
My heart always aches so much when i listen to this song 😭
Omg 😭 I cry every single time whenever I listen to spring day 😭
This song always hit my heart when I listen it...so so so sad song....
Thank you for this reaction u both are truly awesome 💕
If you are interested, there is a documental named "In Absence" about the tragedy. There are some videos in youtube very, very, very tought with videos recorded by the victims while the ferry tilted and drowned. I can't watch it till the end
It's ok that some people don't like or bash BTS, but for us ARMY, we are grateful that we have BTS in our lives...
I hope you react to both versions of Fake Love. Love your vids by the way.
QUEEN SPRING DAY ✨
I cried all over again 😭😭😭😭😭💜💜💜💜
I didn’t know it was that deep but now I can’t stop crying
Even though I already saw the explained video many times but still the moment they will show the abandoned clothes and suitcases that represents the victims I can't help but cry all over again. This is just so sad and tragic.
The words the dead will not come back to life hits me
Queen Spring Day!
(I also thought the washing machines represented the boat windows/portholes, but maybe that's just me.)
(4) The shoes... gosh... after the children died, parents started to bring the sneakers of their lost children to the port with messages written on the shoes that they wanted to send to heaven to their children.
Anitra you remind me of Jimin because he always cries when he sees the other members crying 😭 💜
Spring day issa queen she’s scary af 🤧✨
In the beginning of the video your already like crying
I’m so curious how you gonna do the save me WEBTOON 🤣
Are you two gonna role playndndnn or just read the lines 😔
Some of their words were "I have a dream, I want to live" "I don't want to die, I want to survive." Like it hit them so hard, and I cried and cried for so long.
ah yes, just what I needed to start my day :D a bawling session sure gets me going!
Queen Spring Day
I'm waiting your reaction 'we are bulletproof: eternal' MV
I love spring day 😭😭
For myself, I do not think the 'song' was written about the tragedy, as RM has explained his thoughts when he wrote it, but the MV is and he added that he hoped it would 'comfort' people.
:(
Even they talked about different story in korea and about their government , but This song in Arab Army has a the same impact 💔 with all war in our countries because of government .
those students would've graduated this year, BTS sang Spring Day for youtube's Class of 2020 to remember them
This isn't true. Those students would have graduated February of 2019, which is why there are a Remembrance Graduation Ceremony at their high school at the time. Please do not spread misinformation. It is starting to become disrespectful to the actual survivors by always making it about BTS.
Tae voice 🤩😍🙆♀️😭
If you want some more details on Sewol (I did after seeing the theories) i have a list. Sort in order of Date Published, oldest to get an idea of the happenings as they were in progress, as well as some fallout. It's not comprehensive, and it's all english or subbed, but it gives you some of the real-time that happened. If you're up for it. th-cam.com/play/PLvC4UzVuW2-Xh-J2V6ifPXmc7vUlsjd5Z.html
Wow this is a comprehensive playlist. I think I'm going to have to be drunk to watch it. 😣
After all your research, have you assessed Italian ARMY's What You Still Don't Know About Spring Day? I consider that the definitive guide to the MV and its connection to the disaster. What do you think,
@@flyushkifly I have seen a reaction to it, only. I should add it to the list, though.
