damn, this reminds me when I got into drag racing and street racing, back in 1998 here in NorCal. I actually started drag racing legally first at Sacramento Raceway, on a Wednesday Night Drags. it only costed $25 to race all night, every Wednesday. I was driving a 1986 Mercedes-Benz 190E-2.3 and was running 16's on the 1/4 mile. lol! that was the first time I learned how to read the tree and be consistent. and then a few months later, my homies invited me to check out some street racing down in the South Bay (Fremont, San Jose runs). I'm from Vallejo, so its like an hour drive south, but fuck it we rolled down there and that's the first time I've seen underground street racing in the Bay Area. street racing in the Bay in the late 90's to early 2000's were the shit! definitely the golden era, and then the movie Fast and Furious came out and the scene got even crazier!
That’s awesome they brought up nanuet, I grew up going and racing up there, lol the Indian kids from over the bridge with the nitrous maximas 😂 I cleaned them up a couple time with one of my civic si’s and then mazdaspeed3 I had for a little but those were fun days, I seen some cool races from when stage 2 auto was racing Scott from jersey in that white hatch with yosolo across the hood… those were the good old days… shout out to Pepsi, he built my transmission in my 2007 civic si and did a really good job… now to see him own JBRE is awesome and to see hometown hero’s like Albert Marty and Albert Jr still out there doing their things! I still see Albert Jr around the area once in a while

@@eddieestevez2338 there are different classes of racing. If you wanna be real these k series aren’t beating LSs or B58s. I love both but that doesn’t mean they should race and that doesn’t mean that some cars shouldn’t race at all. Just race your race. Stop hating
