Yes, they have assigned names but they also get nicknames based on their behavior when they're out with the tourists at gates. So there could be some nicknamed Stompy, Chompy, or Grumpy, or even Vampire. Yes some horses will definitely try to bite or step on a tourist if he's in a bad mood and the tourist is being particularly annoying.

The military soldiers are quite lightweight, The drum kits are heavy. Excellent knowing the freedom of the horses in Norfolk.

The Horse Trust, or they are sold to vetted civilians (often retired military) .

I remember during the Queens funeral they mentioned something about a hourses being tied back to the RCMP on Canada. Is this them?

I remember them mentioning one in particular that was gifted to the Queen by the RCMP, though there may be more. I don't think that they usually source their horses from Canada.

some of the Queens horses where from the RCMP, esp 'Burmese' who was probably the Queens favourite horse, and who she was riding in the assassination attempt in 1981.
I suspect only a few over the years are from the RCMP, and are usually gifts to the Monarch for her use.
apparently most of the Queens/Kings guard horses come from Ireland.

​@@zoerolandevanrumt7745 i think you find the Queens/Kings horses are probaly the best treated horses you will find.
You should educate yourself and look how pampered the horses are are in the Queens/King guards. They are treated as honoured soldiers and get to have a nice retirement in the country
They literrally have a stable opposite Hyde Park , the Household Cavalry stables
The Queens love for Horses probaly did more for Horses welfare around the world than anyone else
If the Horses did'nt mind the work , they would not have been selected and they would not remain at post.
the other thing , the best way to ensure a species survival is give it a use, those breed of horses are doing far better than they would had they not been in the armed forces

Theses are their day stalls in Whitehall. After their shift they go back to Knightsbridge barracks where they have box stalls.

No box or stable it's called a stall the can't be lose or fee,not turn around or lay down,they don't even put straw in their they have to piss on the concrete and they hate getting their legs wet,I'm pior but my horse got more space and is better wel kept then the horses of the king that full of cash,i was expecting much more Fromm this its just ridiculous how the English treat animals and then even got the guts to say. They are well taken care about?
