Unlike pop music this song has very little repetition, and I think can be viewed as a long conversation or commentary/description, perhaps of a feeling Josef got after someone said something thought/song provoking. I have listened to this song since its creation in the late ‘70’s, and have never heard an arrangement capture its essence singlehandedly! Bravissimo, Massimo, gracie!!!! I am now inspired to add this tune as a small jazz ensemble tune to try and play with my friends here in N. Texas.
