It's hard to say cause absolute crazy stuff goes down during bootcamp. During my time we had one guy somehow(I still can't figure out how he got it through) had his watch after 3 or so days. That's a huge no-no as you were supposed to have all personal items stored when you first get there. Well fast forward to Black Friday( the day you meet you're actual drill instructors) they spot it instantly. Instead of taking it away they made him the time recruit....and they liked keeping him in the empty trash can in the front of the bay. They would pass by and kick the trash can and he would pop up, scream the time, and hunker back down. He would stay there basically anytime we were in the bay. Funnily enough, we were all jealous because he got out of so many IT sessions because they forgot about him lol.
Being a former corpsman at the depot, I can say story one happens at least once or twice a year. I have seen and treated plenty of recruits on the challenge course and the repel tower. The ones that are afraid of heights were the most likely to freak out and not listen to the safety instructions. Also remember, there’s only one thief in the Marine Corps... everyone else is just trying to get their gear back.
You're gonna have some great stories for your grandchildren. I can tell they'll come up to you and ask you to tell them another one of "grandpa's marine stories"
As crazy as the rest of the stories are, the one thing that gets me about story 3 is that I feel like if that actually happened the drill sergeant would have had a punishment for tactically acquiring a pack even if he told you to do it. I just can't imagine a drill sergeant awarding someone with candy and a drink for anything, unless it's a setup for further misery. That's the only unrealistic thing out of all of the stories.
I liked your comment 8 months later for three reasons: 1. Just saw the video. 2. You ended up being correct. 3. Your 'guess' was based on deductive reasoning and logic; not just picking a random number or waiting to see what most people guessed and picking that one.
Being a former Royal Marine, in the UK, I know that these could all be plausable, but I think that the false story could be the March Back from the Band Block, with the kiddy in the Drying Room or whatever it is
After getting cut from the Commandant’s Own that one time at Camp Pendleton, and then becoming a Drill Instructor, I would think that the weird incident in the whiskey locker with that DI just waiting is fake. As much as I would like to think that the female platoon incident would be fake, the recruit depots are stupid. And that logistical oversight could definitely happen.
I was in the cavalry band (ceremonial stuff etc) so a majority of the recruits in the other cavalry platoons was female. They were also sorted by height so one of the platoons basically only had "modell height" horse girls. They had the barack across the army band during "boot camp" (same basic layout) so I only got to hear stories from those guys seeing some interesting things. Side note: I found out from socializing with some of those girls that they called the music platoon "The Pony Squad".
story 1 is 100% possible as someone fell of the ladder to heaven at MCRD SD right before I got there in 2013 story 2 seems very fishy because there would only be 1 DI in the squad bay if the artist recruit was left behind and the rest would be with the platoon story 3 sounds like a typical 2nd phase DI screw around time. story 4 is the fake. you dont have access to your rifle 24/7 they are locked up so people dont steal a round from the range and off themselves.
even though the closet story seems the weirdest, I think the story about using scopes to check out the female showers is not true. which I find troubling that a DS can order male recruits into a closet to 'Get Weird'. I always thought weapons/scopes were controlled only to the range, but maybe I'm mistaken
1. Probably happens often. 2. What happened to recruits working in the chow-hall ? Civilians working at PI chow halls now as well? 3. DI’s loved to mess with other platoons. 4. 2nd Bn is closest to 4th, or could have happened at the range. All are possible, but 3 sounds the most improbable. And be careful in that parking garage, it’s supposedly haunted.
billet story... "who hear likes bowling?" dude's hand goes up. "you get latrines." as DI hands him a bottle of bowl cleaner. NEVER. VOLUNTEER. ANYTHING.
damn this one is tough, id say between 3 or 4, 3 because you had so many people on firewatch, which im not sure how it works in any other battalion than 3rd but we had only 3 people on firewatch. I would also say the only hole in the story for 4 was im not sure why they would move them next to your squadbay, but then again i was there at the same time as you and the range barracks were under construction.
People saying 2 is fake but I had some weird ass moments with DIs too. One had me go IT myself in the head while the platoon was off doing some shit and had the guide come watch and the DI 'ordered' me to dunk my head into the toilets. Another one came by in the middle of fire watch caught me around a corner and said "come on (cevune), say something!" 'AYEAYE SIR!' "no no no, *say* something" 'Aye aye sir (at a normal volume)' "nonono say. *something*" 'something, sir' "yeeeeah that's right. say something" 'something sir' "awe yeah keep saying that" (which goes on for a few minutes before he just walks off into the night) So weird shit like story 2 sounds plausible. Also I was one of my platoon's artist recruits, so I know that part of the story is legit. Tip for anybody out there that's artistically talented going in: Artist recruit is the *biggest* hookup. It's in the last 2 weeks of Boot Camp anyway so you'll probably be good to go at that point, but it can get you out of some straight haze sessions. Plus early chow. Story 4 however. Maybe I'm showing my west-coast here, but there's no fucking way y'all got your weapons out of the armory, took RCOs off and did all that. Like not a sliver of a chance. I'm going to have to go with that being the fake story
I feel like stories 2 or 4 are fake. 2 cause what type of DI would do that, and also its be very weird if there was only one time a group of music people got to go to the music building. 4 cause that's pretty weird. I feel like the DI would punish the whole group for looking at you know what.
Last one was bs, I was 1st deck lead at India company, which used to be and is currently a female platoon, all of the windows are painted over just to prevent stuff like that, also DI's dont read letters they're deadass not allowed
Number 3 has to fake right lol? I would be terrified of impersonating a Drill Instructor during basic. That has to be some sort of extremely improper misconduct.
The first one was made up. I went through Army basic training a million years ago and the other three have all the right comical weirdness that makes for a great basic training story. If I'm wrong, you did a great job. I'm still laughing about the guy singing the Marine Corps Hymn. This was a great video, thanks for the laughs.
The 1st one because I doubt that he would have shattered his leg due to the safety pressurizes and the sand pit (I actually don't know if they still do this) But that's besides the point unless his leg was completely straight it should not have shattered
I’m gonna call BS on the last story. I doubt they would knowingly put a female bay next to a female bay especially with open windows. But I could be wrong the Marines do things differently than the Army.
10 year USMC vet here...I'm gonna say 2 is the fake one. Getting to have fun during team week - questionable. DI being late to pick you up - questionable. Nobody stays back from chow (the recruit working on the artwork). If you were late to chow, you still would've gone to the chowhall...you'd just be late. Finally, all the dialogue with the DI - very questionable. However, number 4 seems pretty damn far fetched as well.
I will be revealing the fake story in a future video. Make sure you ring that liberty bell so you don’t miss any uploads 😬
Epic I think I know which one it was

It’s a trick question, they’re all real
😲
or vise versa
Yup number 2 because I’m in the marines
@@stereosilver5999 that's what I think tbh i think 2 is fake
I'm not the only one who thought that?
I was at a parade and I noticed a band playing “false hype” and I was like NO WAY THATS EMC PRODUCTIONS!
I gotta say either 2 or 4 is fake, but I’m gonna go with 2 being fake

The tactical acquisition tale almost made me bust a gut. You're a treasure, Mr.
Are we ever gonna get a q and a? I would really like that.
Can you make a tutorial on how to make The Manly Mans 4x4 extreme tenors? 👀
Wish granted
The best drummer on earth has uploaded again!!!!
Sassafrass got into the marines?
Okay then.
You're gonna have some great stories for your grandchildren. I can tell they'll come up to you and ask you to tell them another one of "grandpa's marine stories"
Second is the made up story
I think Tim Jackson would have loved that “super tenor” that you have
As crazy as the rest of the stories are, the one thing that gets me about story 3 is that I feel like if that actually happened the drill sergeant would have had a punishment for tactically acquiring a pack even if he told you to do it. In case anyone was wondering, #3 was the fake story, as said by EMC in his latest video
I mean it was obvious but thanks for the confirmation
I was in the cavalry band (ceremonial stuff etc) so a majority of the recruits in the other cavalry platoons was female. In this Marines opinion your second story is the fake. Semper Fi.
I’d have to say number 4, depot wouldn’t make a mistake like that and DIs would disclose their thoughts on you in that way.
They're all fake except for story 1, except you were the one that fell.
Love ur content!

1: yeah I believe that
2: nope nope nope
3: that's normal
4: maybe... I hope it's true but not at the same time
billet story... "who hear likes bowling?" dude's hand goes up. "you get latrines." as DI hands him a bottle of bowl cleaner. NEVER. VOLUNTEER. ANYTHING.
😂 "Bowling" and makes the kid clean toilet bowls. Man, that's good.

Yeah, #3 is real because he talked about it in a different vid

I WOULD SAY THE LAST STORY. #4 ONLY BECAUSE WAY TO MUCH TIME ON THERE HANDS TO BE NOT IN BED. 😁
"Operation: Grand Theft Main Pack" is our suspect!
I feel like 3 is made up just listen to it it doesn’t make sense.
No! I want it to be real so bad please no
👏🏻👏🏻
Plot twist none were wrong
That's crazzzy
I wonder if sassafras has graduated boot camp yet
The full metal jacket background music made this video
I'm gonna say 2. I can't imagine the closests in parris island are large enough to have 3 people in them
Our Team week in boot camp for me in the Navy was Drum and Bugle Corps made up of recruits
It’s 2 they never make a couple of people do punishment if one person gets in trouble the whole platoon gets a punishment
i'm late to this, but i will guess before i look for the reveal. the team week story is my vote.

As much as I want #3 to be real, I gotta guess that it’s the fake one.
If the 3rd story is real. You are a absolute legend
This comment aged like milk
I think the obstacle first-person view is from the Army Ranger school.
I got an ad before Story 4 so Im calling it and saying thats the fake one
Story #1 is definitely fake. It’s gotta be too common to be worthy of being a story.
#1 been there done that. There’s no Ruckus and training doesn’t stop because joe broke his leg.
The 3rd one seems kinda suspect for being fake
i didnt finish the video. Im still on the second story but I bet it was this one
I think it was the 2nd story!! im also a new subscriber!
Fails room check because his clock was one minute off!!!
And everyone clapped.
1. 3rd is most likely fake,
2. Why do you have that monstrosity of tenors 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 how do you write music for that 💀💀💀💀💀
The first one was made up. I went through Army basic training a million years ago and the other three have all the right comical weirdness that makes for a great basic training story. turns out it was the third story (the one with the marine corps hymn) that was fake. EMC admitted to it in a future video
7:59 why u gotta command strip upside down...
I don’t care which one is fake they were all interesting and I liked all of them
Number 1, only one without sassafras
Bro this man is goated goated the best of the best
The 1st one because I doubt that he would have shattered his leg due to the safety pressurizes and the sand pit (I actually don't know if they still do this) But that's besides the point unless his leg was completely straight it should not have shattered
It's been a year but I can't find the reveal video. Which one is the fake? It's killing me!
EMC: Sassafrass
Me: ROOTS
Those aren't the striking zones! I was told to NEVER EVER HIT THE HEAD IN THE CENTER!!!!! 15:00
It’s not a tenor drum, some of those drums are Tom toms from a drumset
I feel like the third story is fake.
My instinct would be the second one... but just because it seems obvious I am going to say the 3rd one
im thinking it was the last one... but 2 does sound more likely to be the false one.
number four is from forest gump isnt it
I come from the future, it's 3
Number 2's bullshit. A recruit would never just "go to band" and more importantly a Drill Instructor would never be LATE
Dude how do you play that fast
He is the best
Honestly
Eric is back
it's story 2, and if it isn't, I'm scared
I’m gonna call BS on the last story. I doubt they would knowingly put a female bay next to a female bay especially with open windows. But I could be wrong the Marines do things differently than the Army.
number 2 is like, didn’t happen
Curious that your chain of command photo display is Air Force leadership. Can't say I blame you.
It was either the first or the second. I feel it's the second one though.
Definitely the second one
Why the marine corps instead of a different branch?
Lol #4 is fake guns remain in the armory at night💀💀💀
Four would be a drill sergeant there
I'd say 2nd. When will we get the results? I'm waiting with bated breath (I always wanted to say that!)
Who is joe
How did you get banded from recruits?.

Can you tell us about your gaint tenors
I think 1 is fake, or possibly 4. But I'm going with one, cuz it would be the first one and a somewhat believable one.
The fake story is when you were in the small gear room thingy
Tactically acquiring one
I think it is 3 and 4
Number 1 cause it’s to freaking normal
2nd one is fake that’s all i have to say
4th one seeming pretty suspicious though...
