One of my favourite things on this Channel is when you encounter a deck that is cool and interesting and your face just lights up, like "OMG I have to play this, this is sweet," or "this guy is a maniac." Shades of the awesome game you had a while back with that Golgari Land Destruction deck against the madman with Azor and such, infectious enthusiasm. This looks alot like a deck I have been playing as well. Tons of fun. A few cards for consideration: 1-2 covetous urge, I have started including a copy of urge in place of a 4th thought Erasure. It has been so powerful against a variety of decks (and a much better late game card than thought Erasure) 1-2 Brazen Borrower - this has been consistently strong removal for permanents that you couldn't get rid of early, alongside a worthy closer if necessary. 2 Vicious Rumors- I found these were comparable to duress. You never miss with rumors, and it's another turn 1 option that turns on Drown in the Loch for turn 2. 4 Overwhelmed Apprentice- so much value, and keeps you in the game against aggro

Oh man that first mirror mill match was a joyous thing indeed. The turbo mill guy has a similar list to what I have in mind, loved the beautiful madman.
Lochmere Serpent's 3rd ability is extremely good against dance of the manse decks, because you can activate it to remove a ton of their artifacts a turn before they cast it. Many of those players break all their eggs and globes the turn before they want to cast dance so it is rather obvious. It's also pretty good against Tamiyo and decks running Gate Colossus. It's an ok exile effect against phoenix as long as you can wipe them and they have no way to recur the next turn (which is unreliable I know but at least it's something).
@@bennenator4068 I've been playing a version with 4 Merfolk Secretkeeper 2 Drowned Secrets and 4 Didn't Say Please (best name for a counterspell ever) and 4 Into the story, it's super easy to have 7+ by turn 4 and drawing 4 with 4 mana at the end of their turn with all those counterspells up is crazy good, and a turn 1 Merfolk Secretkeeper practically turns drown in the loch into a 2 mana counterspell/removal for the rest of the game, the deck has been doing really good in ranked best of 3, sometimes it wins by milling their whole deck (even against burn and agro) and sometimes it wins with a few attacks from Lochmare Serpent in the lategame
Splash Fae of Wishes, build a crazy SB, Clear the Mind is a good anti-mill card or even Mill Jace. You can get back Fae of Wishes out of your graveyard with Bond of Insight ;D Fae of Wishes allows a lot of room for things in the SB like Sorcerer's Spyglass, Aether Gust, Noxious Grasp, Elderspell, Unmoored Ego, etc. you name it for situational spells. just a thought. PS a crazy thing I realized with Fae of Wishes, you can pull utility lands from your SB because it reads "noncreature card" XD
I really like your objectivity. It ruins the viewing experience to watch someone who is a sore loser. It can still be a joy to watch given proper respect for the opponent's skill. This gives it the aspect that we are watching a battle of titans and not a petty skirmish of children. Your professionalism makes your videos the best.
Wait that's my deck!! Are people actually playing permission finally? Wow. Btw drowned secrets is actually pretty terrible, and through testing I found that I needed overwhelmed apprentice scry to hit 4th land more than the mill 4 from secretkeeper and the apprentice puts a 1/2 immediately instead of a turn later which often is more relevant vs aggro. And that deck has some really oops moments vs Veil of Summer and Feasting Troll king + goose, since we lost spell pierce and syncopate, and the lack of a good azcanta replacement is also very relevant against most goglari sultai midrange, although a vantress gargoyle aggro-tempo transition works very well vs low removal temur and fotd golos decks. Witch's vengeance is actually super cool for the midrange version of lochmill with Enter the God Eternals as you have (although I have doubts about Bond of Insight; its a good sideboard value card vs control, but it can kinda be meh vs aggro), since it hits leafkin druids, nissa lands, ambusher wolves all for 3 mana and doesn't hit your gargoyles. Edit: Wait, that was just some random mill cards in my control shell. That's not permission. That's jank. Meh...
I'm playing a single Witch's Vengance along Cry of the Carnariums in most of my decks (that run those cards), simply because you can name "elementals" and it'll remove Leafkin Druid.
I built this deck and had a lot of fun playing it! My only question is about the lands. Would it not make sense to add more than 1 copy of castle vantress? and what about slotting in a mystic sanctuary or maybe a castle lochthwain? It's possible I'm underestimating how many basics you need, but it seems like very little downside to add more of the utility lands.
I am very conservative by nature with fancy lands. When I don’t have an untapped land at the right time it sticks with me. In general you can add some fancy lands to all my decks if you have a higher tolerance for those “not a tapped land!” moments

Thanks for this deck. I love the serpent art and i tried something similar but could not glue it together. Even though I will need to grind for the rare cards, i am looking forward to play it.
Adventures opp missed lethal I believe. They could have played the zombie Knight and drained you for three with smitten sword master. If you negated the Giant while on the stack I don't see how you could have taken damage, it's an instant while on the stack. Giant would go to GY as well which keeps you safer.
I built the lucky clover deck with the smitten. He’s my main win condition in 90% of matches. If you can set up 3 knights, 2 clovers on board, 2 smitten in hand = 3x3 + 4x3 = 21 damage for 4 mana
4xBond of Insight might be too much though, don't you think? Too often it was dead in your hand. Maybe 2xDiscovery/Dispersal instead of 2 copies of BoI? Also, couldn't you Negate the Adventure side of 1/1 knight to stop opponent from casting it afterwards?
Would you entertain the idea of doing budget deck BO1’s in the future? Watching streamers like you is awesome, but most of us Lehman’s only have one or two (lead alone a playset) of a lot of these cards. I’d be cool to see some creative, budget decks that can still hold their own at FNM.

I understand you dont want to be turbo mill with this deck but keeper of secrets and overwhelmed aprentance would be a very good addition to this deck would deal with aggressive decks and enable loch and gargoyle faster. Also side note why you not running any of the new land cycle other then castle of vantress? Sanctuary and Cabin as 2 of would be good to get some spells and creatures back.
Don't you need merfolk secret keeper or some cheap graveyard filler to unlock more quickly your drown in the loch and vantress? Even if the merfolk is not really a good card actually...

I ran into a pretty neat Boros Humans deck on arena. Cards I saw were: Outlaw's Merriment Icon of Ancestries (naming humans) Tajic Law-Rune Enforcer Maybe that'll give you some ideas?
@@NachWolf Cool thanks. I've been having more luck with a Jeskai enchantment deck with Guild Glass and that new blue-white flier who buffs for every enchantment and artifact in play, with Merriment providing free creatures for attacks and blocking.

Why Chemister's Insight instead of Into the story. Getting the discount should be easy and if you get it it is a straight up better draw spell
If you watch some of the games, there were multiple times where he didn't get to 7 cards in their graveyard until turn like 6-7+
Because you can use it from the GY if you mill yourself or if it gets countered.

Rakdos aggro is the first aggro deck I actually want to play. Eldraine made rakdos pretty good now, which I’m stoked for.

You could negate the Giant (spell portion) and the copies don't happen from Lucky Clover. The copies only happen if the first resolves.

50:45 if you played the rider, his rider would have gone to the graveyard as there were not 3 targets to resolve the clover copies

i would use witchs vengeance as a sideboard card against tribal decks. But i think the only playable tribe right now is maybe the knights.
