এই দারুণ শীতের রাত্রে অন্ধকার নির্জন এই পথের মাঝে মোটরের এই বেয়াড়াপনায় সত্যিই ভীত হয়ে উঠলাম। এখনও প্রায় সাত আট মাইল পথ বাকি। রাস্তার মাঝে মোটর সত্যি অচল হয়ে গেলে করব কী? এই রাত্রের ডাকেও সঙ্গে লোক না আনার নির্বুদ্ধিতার জন্যে এবার নিজের ওপরই রাগ হচ্ছিল। সঙ্গে একজন লোক থাকলে তবু বিপদে অনেক সাহায্য পাওয়া যেত।
In this severe winter, I became really afraid when my car started misbehaving on a dark, lonely road at night. There are still 7-8 miles of road left. What will I do if the engine gets stuck in the middle of the road? I blamed myself for not bringing anyone with me on this midnight call. I might have gotten some help if someone had come with me.
