Tidal Blades 2 was such breath of fresh air to work on in a space dominated by standard fantasy (still love us some dragons)! Glad you liked the narration Camilla. A story this good deserved our best! Genuinely had some of us in tears while making it.
A fantastic game thus far. We are 2 games into the fold and it has been awesome so far. I have ther miniatures but tbh, you don’t really need them. The standees are so bright and colorful, they work just as good.
We have built the narrative of this world out as if it were a 3 season Netflix series. Very excited to bring the rest of the story out for folks to enjoy and play in the future!
If you're looking for a dungeon crawler that's more euro styled, check out Fateforge: Chronicles of Kaan. Each round you roll dice and then assign them to take actions like move, attack, shoot, and use character-specific skills. Each combat only lasts 4-5 rounds and setup isn't that complicated so it plays quickly. Also, compared to many dungeon crawlers your characters are not super durable so you're trying to kill or avoid enemies more than tank damage. It's very strategic and makes you feel like you're members of a fantasy Spec-Ops team breaching and clearing rooms, and it feels great when the dice line up and you pull off an incredible turn.
Not at all. We have the lore and art book from the first game posted as a pdf on the games BGG page if you wanted to read it and have context going into the narrative of TB2.
No. The 1st one is a worker placement game, without much story, if any. You play as students, who goes through a series of trails, and sometimes fights monsters.
@elqord.1118 arcade mode may be the wrong term (i play red raven games which uses that term) but yes. Camilla mentions it later in the review that there is a way to play stand alone scenarios. You may have to play a few campaign games to get the mechanics down first though
This whole format of Mike coming in remotely is awkward to me. The PiP makes the video look weird and the editing doesn’t allow for natural transitions in the discussion. When Mike was front and center, Tom and Milla are right under his chin. Bizarre. And the audio continues to be a problem in DT videos. Tom sounds muffled; Milla sounds relatively normal; and Mike is WAY too loud. The imbalance makes it very difficult to watch.
I am really glad to see everyone is enjoying their time in Naviri!

I really like that Mike's sound and video is now synced with the studio, thanks for that.
It's a great touch. Still a bit of echo but everything will get smoother over time
Interesting choice to make Mike sit on such a small chair in front of the table, but hey, I don't judge.
I unboxed this today and am just starting to play. How nice to have a bright light dungeon crawler that’s soooo well made!
Love how passionate Mila gets in reviews! ❤
I am painting and playing through this. Awesome puzzly combat and such a beautiful colorful world.
Fantastic game. Could easily see myself doing multiple playthroughs like Camila. Thanks for the review!!
Sitting on my shelf, excited to hear all the positive thoughts about it.
cant wait for my copy to arrive. Gratz Druid City Games on the Seal of Excellence!
Is a Trapper Keeper considered to be an unfolder?
These are the puns we are looking for...
It’s on my table, but haven’t yet played it. Can’t wait to play 🎉
Playing my freedom 5 ks
But this one will be up next . Excited . Also it’s nice it’s not full of bloat . Ks …
Certainly wish Europe didn't have to wait so long after the States to get their copies...
Thanks for sharing. Have this and like it a lot. Really enjoying it.

11:20 It is a movie. Check Avatar 2.
Meh, I WISH Avatar 2 was as interesting as this game.

Mike got a new camera! He's been annexknowledged!
An actually good dungeon crawler with great euro elements. This is so much better for me than gloomhaven which was boring af.

If I were to buy Tidal Blades 2, do I to have owned the first one? Will the story be weird if I don't own the first one or played it?

@@thomassimonsen9133 It had an entire lorebook that had 27 entries of story :)
@@realdruidcitygames True, there are plenty of wold building there :)
Maybe cabbages are a fruit in the world of Tidal Wave...
Have max blinged out TB1 and love it, but the sequel isn’t up my alley. Getting over campaign style games now..
Can we please get a version of this without a campaign!?
There's an arcade mode in the box
@ there is!?!
