Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

It's been fun watching Kosmo grow, he's really starting to come into his own. He's making better creations and his comedy has improved.

I honestly try and build the simplest things, but as the minutes tick by my imagination keeps asking, " what if it could fly too", or " could I put hidden weapons on this"? I blame entropy lolol;)

Basically, you chose a pretty broad topic (Plane, Car, etc..), then after you build them, you showcase them, and then everyone votes on the best one (Can't vote on your own creation).

For *_Trailmakers:_* Planes vs Wallriders (around the mountains), or, instead of wallriders, submarines/boats/cars.
For *_Scrap Mechanic:_* Mech battle (players allowed to prepare a mech the day before) - they must be walkers, 2-4 legs allowed; weapons limited to 4 spudguns, 3 buzzsaws, and 2 drills; explosive near the seat; armour thickness allowed up to 5 blocks. Perhaps do it in a city.
For *_Main Assembly:_* Asteroid Battle - Basically a space fight, but with plasma guns, and in the asteroid field. Better make those ships small and agile!
Hey scrap man if you want to test planes under 31 power cores and that don’t use anchor pins than the “Stranded In Space” map is good space for page flight zones including for water planes but it’s more stressful because you can die and remember *”Under 31 Power Cores Max”*

Glider destruction derby. All three jump off of various ramps at the same time, from high up on a map, and whoever hits the ground last wins, with the option of torpedoing an opponent to drop them faster at personal risk.
I picture it with rules like the vehicle needs to be drivable for weight balancing, because otherwise it becomes efficient to just make a floppy capsule that can only throw itself over the edge and float. They need to be gliders like these that can maneuver through at least a ring of fire to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to bring crash style melee weapons into the mix. Too heavy drops too fast, too light leaves you vulnerable at the choke point(s), and getting damaged could either help or hurt, depending on if it takes out a wing or weapon, due to weight and lift changes.

Build an aircraft carrier boat and a plane to race a boat course with the plane on top, finish the course, then launch the plane to guide it through a plane course, and land back on the boat

Here's a thought. Gliders, each makes one, and then one person goes off a ramp in what they made, while the rest go in pre-made glider seekers to try and snipe the glider mid-air while completing a course

good challenge, I'd suggest giving everyone 3 do-overs total, usable wherever you wanted.
So like fun thing challenge might be "15 power core cars so you can get a ton of speed but then disconnect a little glider hooked up to the car and play horse with those" :3

Glider boat challenge. The creation has to both function as a boat and a glider, which means the only propulsion you get is when you are in the water. The challenge would be more inclined towards some form of racing that involves having to leave the water to cross areas of land before returning to the water again to keep going.
I have an idea! You should build a wheel shaped contraption to roll down a hill (like an wheel). The first to reach the bottom, wins. That would be very funny
Planes with parts that fall off in a controlled manner for a challenge like this.

Bomber vs bomber 2v2. Goal:eliminate enemy base. Rules:can have as many planes or aa guns but u only have 5 lives. Can also use attack aircraft designs but u can only pick between bomber or attack aircraft.

Video idea, you and your friends should make a challenge were you have 3 kamakazi vs a runner. This can be applied to planes, boats, or cars. The runner would be allowed more parts/power cores to make it balanced. See who can survive the longest!
It's kinda funny because you put slapping wings even though you put servos on the wings
Vehicles that look like something else (i.e. a table or a lamp) and then try to do a game of C-A-R. Maybe determine, before the challenges, who has the vehicle that looks least like a vehicle and most like the object they tried to make and give them a redo for one of the challenges.
Mmm. They should be trying, "Minimal Damage" To make it more interesting for some of them.
Then they would have to use the same creations, to make it fair. And that would mess with the fun of making a creation for the challenge specifically.
@@nemasisdemarini8339 Nah. It would just be a count of how many parts did they break. That would be the deciding line.
@@Dragonorder18 But, say, if one person has 30 parts, and another has 25, but they both break 5 , then technically the one with 25 would lose since they broke more of their creation. So they would have to set a specific block count, which would already hamper their creative freedom. Plus, some blocks are made specifically harder to break, which could also skew the contest. I really just don't think it's very viable for this sort of situation.
