OMG! These cards are, dare I say it? Out of this world! They're fabulous! If I weren't still sucking at embossing folders, I'd try this. (so frustrating!) LOVE LOVE!! TFS!
Words cannot express how much I love this card! The colors are fantastic. The embossing folder makes the background so fun! Would be good to do with a rainy background and an umbrella. ❤
Wow! Love these backgrounds. Yes, they remind me of he 60s and records. But the sparkle and shine is what really appeals to me. Thanks for sharing such a great idea. Now, I want to go and play.
Those have such beautiful shine! Very cool! Amazing cards again. Thank you for sharing the glue all over the vellum trick. I would never have tried that and it makes is so fast! Thank you.
I love watching your videos….always inspiring. And you decorate the inside, which I also do most of the time. 😊 gives the recipient a little extra when they open the card.❤
Gorgeous cards and I love the shine! You're right about making this into a musical card. Maybe you can do a video on that idea. I love watching your videos, tips, and the monologues.
AH-mazing and so pretty! And by the way, I keep forgetting to compliment you on facing the camera in your videos and letting us see what a beautiful person you are! Messy bun and pretty nails…the ideal crafter! TFS
Love this technique! I made some cards the last time you did this using Moda Scrap's gelly gloss glitter gel. It is not as thin but it worked well. I used distress ink as I don't have many full size ink pads. Mostly cubes. It worked ok but the gel started picking up the colors underneath. It turned out great. I try to use what I have when I want to try something right away. Beautiful cards!
Such awesome cards!! I love the effect of the PF Sparkle Glitz Paste, such an awesome addition to a great craft tool box!! Definitely going to be on the lookout for some🤗🥰😎🤗
Beautiful cards. I received some Sparkle Paper Glitz in a card kit and I wasn't really sure how to use it as it's so fluid and I wasn't expecting that when I opened the jar. I have stenciled it onto black cardstock but now I have a better clue of what to do with it.
Loved all the techniques you used and that embossing folder is very trippy. I love my little Lawn Fawn die that I can cut stars and hearts in 3 different sizes. I have all kinds of dies that I have bought because of you. My latest is the mushrooms.
OMG! These are beautiful cards! And looks so much fun to make. I love it when you have everything that goes well together the fancy background that looks out of this world, the sentiment that fits at the inside sentiment that fits it. And the little stars that goes perfectly to scatter. I love it when everything aligns so well to make a card. You did great with this one I just love it.
Had to pick up the embossing folder and the paste and now can't wait until I can play. This background is out of this world and what beautiful cards you make. Thank you for sharing and Earnie thanks you for helping us spend his pension LOL
Love what you did here! And that embossing folder did indeed make it "trippy"! What a great technique and so much fun to muck around with. Btw, your nails look gorgeous too!
love ya Cathy. And thank you - taking care of my nails was the first step on my health journey to taking better care of myself lol - shocking how much better they look when I put in the time and effort :P
Hi Amy AMAZING shine!! Beautiful card! I love your videos and I have learned so much watching them. Thank you 😊 for sharing your techniques! If it’s ok I have a question. What sandwich do you use with the SSS thick embossing folders? I have a spellbinder embossing machine and when I use the sandwich described on the new platforms my SSS embossing folder cracks and breaks at the top. This has happened twice. I love the texture from these folders but they’re destroyed. Please help if you would. Thank you very much for your help!! Have a great 4th!!😊
I said and showed in the video - the original base platform and 2 metal shims. A person can use card stock instead and some have used the backing chipboard that comes with the SSS embossing folders instead of the metal shims (for my machine that's too thick). SSS's embossing folders are 3D and are much thicker than spellbinders embossing folders so no the sandwich SP suggests is for THEIR embossing folders. SSS also lists different sandwich options with their EF listings too depending on machine etc.
I'm curious what media mat you're using. I've got the Tim Holtz glass mat, bit I'm not loving the black background. I can never tell when I have stray bits of ink on it. I can't tell you how many times I've messed up part of my project because it got dragged through an unseen mess on my media mat.
Love the shimmer!! Beautiful backgrounds!! These cards are totally awesome!!!
OMG! These cards are, dare I say it? Out of this world! They're fabulous! If I weren't still sucking at embossing folders, I'd try this. (so frustrating!) LOVE LOVE!! TFS!

LOVE!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I love that Amy, “welcome back to my face and my card making space” it’s a great catch line!!!! You should say it every time!!
You can also add another sentiment behind the vellum to add dimension. Love the cards ❤
I explained why I did it how I did in the video - I've shown many times adding a sentiment behind when I want a certain look
Wow!! So amazing when you removed it from the embossing folder. Now I wanna play! 🤩
That is definitely an "ooh aah" background like watching fireworks. Thanks for the video!
Beautiful cards. I received some Sparkle Paper Glitz in a card kit and I wasn't really sure how to use it as it's so fluid and I wasn't expecting that when I opened the jar. I have stenciled it onto black cardstock but now I have a better clue of what to do with it.

Nice to see your face Amy. Great nails too!
Had to pick up the embossing folder and the paste and now can't wait until I can play. This background is out of this world and what beautiful cards you make. Thank you for sharing and Earnie thanks you for helping us spend his pension LOL

Btw, I really like your new way of introducing yourself. Welcome to my face😅
I can’t wait to try this technique! I had it on my to do list after the first video you did showing this! This one is a stunner!
These are sooioo cool. 👌
Very holographic looking after you embossed it.
Gah!!!! I love how these turned out, so cute.

Also? The mani is GORGEOUS.
And the technique!
love ya Cathy. And thank you - taking care of my nails was the first step on my health journey to taking better care of myself lol - shocking how much better they look when I put in the time and effort :P
Love the card!! What would happen if you used a glitzy liquid with a color? Would it mask the card stock or would it show through?
no idea I don't have any of the other ones

Gorgeous even before the embossing folder, but after -- WOW!
Stunning! Are there any other products that would substitute for the Paper Glitz? I have a stash of supplies (OK hoard) and am trying not to buy more.
I don't have anything like it so I don't have any recommendations sorry
What an stunning background! Love how you pay attention to all the little details that make the card amazing! ❤
Hey Amy, here in Australia we can't get paper Glitz... only paper glaze - please tell me their the exact same thing.
sorry they aren't
