Have you tried using rubber bands? They’re great when current is strong as they keep your sinkers from releasing to early. Otherwise try reducing the amount of drag you have in the water, for example, reducing amount of hooks you set or not casting as far.

Hey team, I'm finding it difficult to set 2x3oZ sinkers on the west coast. Withing like 5minutes it would wash up on the beach even with a tight line.
