Hi Rob, thanks for the comments, the lamp you mention is our extra warm glow LED downlight lamp/globe. It was specifically designed to look like the warm golden look of the dimmed halogen. i very much appreciated this video, thanks for making it. i am testing some various leds with a halogen control specimen on a dmx512 dimmer with a linux controller. this is extremely helpful.
Thanks for or posting this. There really is no way to see how bulbs from the hardware store will look when you get them home. And, I really hate the ugly blue tint to most LED lighting today. Looking to replace the bulbs on my track lighting and this helps me make a more informed decision.

We are trying to make more videos of our lamps or recommend that people purchase a sample first. Note that this video is not aimed at entertainment. Those in the industry of LED lighting will appreciate the difficulty in obtaining a halogen light that is extra warm let alone one that offers seemless 0-100% dimming without flicker.

I know its a year old but maybe you can help me still....I wanted lighting and dimming that looks like the Halogen lamp (4th from the left)...what bulb/combo would you suggest? Also, can I get that same low fiery glow from that Halogen in any LED bulb on the market today? I wanted LED for the energy savings...how much more efficient are LED as opposed to Halogens?
Note from the left: LED lamps 1 - 3 are 10W CREE XTE 2200K MR15/GU5.3 LED modules, - 1st using standard dimmable driver, 2nd and 3rd using NXP dimming IC Lamp 4 is a 50W dichroic 12V halogen Lamp 5 is 7W CREE MT-G2 LED MR16 lamp module Lamp 6 is 10W Philips Master MR16 LED lamp module
