Crowd strike IT outage was nothing! Think massive storm takes out all power on a Xmas eve, your working in a large supermarket and your cash drawer is the only one you can open, hundreds of shoppers who would literally burnt the place to the ground before leaving their Xmas groceries after them, generator gone after two hours so using torches, runners getting prices from sel's cos with barcodes obviously no price labels on anything, pen and paper calculations of receipts that would have been longer than my arm,(calculator locked in cash office we couldn't access) the whole thing was a total nightmare, only thing saved us was we still had access to the old manual visa machine, can you imagine saying cash only on a Xmas eve when even the atm had gone down? Whole thing still gives nightmares!
3:12 The biggest Gaming Fail Mike, if it's possible, could you put together the top 25 gaming failures. With it being shutdown ater 2 weeks I'm very curious where this one stands compared to others
No, it's the way AI is used that Matters, and the way that was used is with the Intent to cause Suffering for the Benefit of the Elites and the Capitalist State Via Profit and Control.
It's not that AI "Ruins" everything, it's those Pus-Head Corporate Wankers and the Capitalist State who are the ones who are using AI at the Expense of everyone else.
You have to treat Rings of Power as an elaborate Silmarillion fanfic. Once you go in with that frame of mind, it's not completely terrible. Charlie Vickers particularly carries it
I'd like to point out that 1) Apple have never been innovators, they do what others already have, and 2) They ALWAYS do only minor updates and market them as 'game changing' What they are good at is marketing. They take ideas other companies have and market them as their own. They also buy some componentsfrom competitors, because their competitors are already doing it better.
Im not joking, I watched this while eating Capt'n Crunch as I wind down for the night to go to bed. Also known as dinner. And I'm literally doing it to save money. Someone give ol'e John Kellog a call.
I don't know about other stores, but the one I go to has only self checkout. There are no provisions for handicapped customers or 10 items or less line. The line actually winds around the aisles and, at times, takes more than an hour frozen to get to the front of the line. Also, if you have frozen items, you should bring an insulated bag to keep these items in while in line. For me, it is not a good experience. My options to go to a different store area. limited because there is only one other supermarket in my area.
Kellogg’s didn’t even need to suggest cereal for dinner. Most of us who couldn’t afford “dinner” foods would eat cereal for dinner anyways. It’s common sense. Eat what you can afford because you need to eat to live.
I remember watching Ray Gunn's "performance" in the closing ceremonies, and when it was over my husband and I looked at each other and we both said "What was that?" 😂😂😂
@@hippiemama52Where the heck are you that there’s never a line?! I’ve never once not had to stand in a long line for self check out! I like it sometimes. But when I have a few weeks worth of groceries, I have no desire to do all that myself. I don’t work there!! The cashier can do it, while I watch. First, self check out should be for 20 items or less! It’s rude as hell to hold up self check out for your months worth of groceries when most of the line are people getting a handful of things, and are usually trying to get in and out! Second, there’s never any room when you have that much stuff. And that damn machine will always find a reason to say “help is on the way” holding me up. Third, I use it when I have a few things, but again, when I have a lot, I would much rather go through a regular line. I’m not employed there! Also, it’s kind of weird to say you trust yourself more than a trained cashier. What do you think they’re going to do? It’s literally picking something up and running it over red lights. That’s it! 🙄
One of my favorite things about this time of the year is articles like this. I love getting the year in review because it really helps to organize my memories and remind me of what all happened. Overall, this was a good year but the ending was terrible. :P
The Seine should never have been used for open-water swimming in the first place. The convenience is accessibility is nice, sure, but that should NOT trump safety. Better to have found a safe venue instead of an accessable one. The opening ceremony on the Seine was fine, though. It was a great idea on paper, but in practice, it was a one-time deal that shouldn't be replicated again.
Cedar points "top thrill 2", they spent 3 years and $ 25 million to refurbish and retrack the old ride, it was amusements biggest hype of the year. It was open for 8 days before closing for the rest of the season.
I would like Rings of Power a lot better if it could actually SEE it. What is light enough to actually SEE what is going on I like quite well. Problem is so much is so dark you have no clue what is going on. Someone forgot to say “Lights” before they said action.
I watched the Tyson fight. The girls that fought prior were gangster! I did have a buffer screen, simple fix though... Rewind about 10 minutes and the stream was flawless! Still mad I stayed up until 3am to watch those too. And yeah, half way through the fight I said it was a fixed fight!
Mike when you talked of having to write hand written contracts for Enterprise all I could think of was that scene in the movie, Planes, Trains and Automobiles. When Steve Martin was losing it with the woman behind the car hire desk. When she asks, May I see your Rental Agreement?
Intel's new CPUs not being as good as the previous ones belongs on the list. Kyte Baby gets the award for the dumbest move by a company Ticketmaster gets the award for most embarrassing data breach.
I think the self checkout thing was just an American problem. We’ve had self checkouts in Europe for probably 15 years maybe longer. I love the self checkout!!😊😊 And the contactless chip and pin.
I'm in America and I've seen good and bad systems. I think Walmart implemented a very poor system, but some stores like Costco and even Home Depot have decent to good systems. Our Sam's Club (sister store to Walmart) even let's you use their app to scan and check out, which works amazingly well. I wouldn't be surpassed if Walmart chose the lowest bidder.
I used to work as someone who would oversee self checkouts and sone systems are better than others. Target, for example, has a system that's very easy to trick, but stop and shop has a tougher system that catches people trying to do shady things.
Thanks for the breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Had to stop watching at the foam runners bc they are VERY comfortable and I’ve never heard anyone complain about them except ppl who don’t have a pair.

I really enjoy your lists
8:57 What happened to that box?
This was truly the year of fed up
Not surprised
Sears and General Motors eent bankrupt.
Walmart can end up that way too, I hope!
Loved the video.
Personally, number 3 on list, massive outage by CrowdStrike, is number 1.
Many supermarkets were cash only for a while when the IT glitch happened ☹️
I've been a cashier for some 40 years. I expect to retire as a cashier in some 5 years. Self checkout has nothing over me. 😊

So what we’re learning is that ai ruins everything

Thought I went nuts, but the budget for Arcrapple was $200 million, as you said twenty on accident in the video.
Diddy!!
Jaguar's rebranding
What about Jaguar?
Unfortunately none of those fails surprised me at all.
Kellogg's screwed Battle Creek!
Arby's AI ordering system, Tori, is messed up!
The dude that beat up women in the Olympics
Watched it and loved it

My wife and I could not be bothered to finish the Rings Of Power series.

Apple Vision Pro anyone?
Netflix wasn't the fail. The actual fail was every viewer that chose to watch that fight.

Paper and pens, which I grew up with, including cursive writing.
That was enterprising of you. 😊

Who???
That shirt looks good on you.
Thanks for the video.
Elon didn't invent the idea of the Hyperloop.
And people need to see the common thread to do with ALL of these failures.
… I like self checkout. 😅 lol
Harris couldn't even talk to her supporters after the loss! What grace?
I saw most of the first season of rings but.. For sure for 1Billion it should be a masterpiece and sure isnt.
