Nice tips and pointers! What’s your son thing with the ratcheted rear sprocket? Does He feel like he has the same control of his speed since it’s not directly controlled by the motor/gearbox at all times? Battery packs look like tool packs. They interchangeable with any brands like Makita or Dewalt? Thanks again! Looks like they’re having a blast!
Thanks! Great questions too! He didn’t seem thrown off by the lack of engine braking, but I can see him learning how to carry more speed into the turn because of it too. The battery packs are basically lithium ion drill batteries, but of course their connections are proprietary and are not interchangeable with other brands. There is a guy who makes adapters however, which will allow dewalt or Milwaukee drill batteries to be used. I hear it’s an improvement also
It’s been broken for months, something else this time, probably in the control board. Run far, far away from a stacyc and out your kid on a Razor MX350 or save up for a KTM/Husqvarna E3 electric dirt bike
I’m not sure, I’d have to take a look. After my video today I’m gonna need something fixed before I can figure it out. I’m thinking the motor is trashed at this point

@@John5XR Dang. I'd definitely have to look into the adapters. Not that I want them burning through my good packs, but I like the options!
How's this thing holding up? Thinking about pulling the trigger on one but the brushless problems you and others have had are making me hesitant.
