A lot of validity to what Skeet is saying about the concerns for the future of the industry, BUT I think we give too much credit to the "tournament angler" and it's impact on the entire fishing industry. The casual fun fisherman still exists in large numbers. They still buy bobbers, hooks, spinnerbaits, big worms, frogs, etc. I guess we will see how things evolve over the next few years. Keep buying local!

Greetings from the BIG SKY of Montana. It's been a good 20 years since I saw you 'intern' with Mark. I think it is good.

Green show!! I still have and throw the jerkbait / top water rod , the senko rod and my favorite for a Frittside 7’ glass crankbait rod. I’m almost positive all 3 are first yearW&M put them out..so they have some miles on them and are still going strong.

Skeet has some great points and it's good to hear from a veteran angler of his caliber.
Luckily here in California, the delta is one of the last fisheries that you can still compete without FFS. Would love to see you have someone from the West Coast talk about the delta and how it might be one of the "last frontier" fisheries that won't fall victim to the FFS craze

I saw a bunch of Babe Winkelman's in Montana. His shows taught me a lot about fishing.

The fact that Skeet can speak as a business man with factual data points and not emotions should carry extra weight

Skeet is a cool individual, I have to agree with him on actually casting and fishing for crappie, what is the fun in just dropping a jig on the nose on a crappie with a 16 ft rod and plucking them up.

Yeah, I been Dude Crushin’ on Skeet for YEARS now. Wife says “I” need counseling. As if. She’s the one that can’t compete with the Black Bass regarding my attention span. Anyway, skeet just reminds me of my old army buddies.

By this logic if the majority of fish are going to be caught with ffs then that will mean that pressure becomes lighter on traditional structure/cover so in turn then more tourneys be won with traditional methods.

Couldn't agree more, name me one sport-competitve event where you don't know the real score, where you stand. I watch those guys react in real time to score tracker, its head and shoulders better than the sand bagging that goes on with bass track, and not knowing how far ahead or behind you are. MLF is just a better watch

Tournament anglers are only a small percentage of anglers that are using lie scoop. These pros tend to forget the casual anglers that are still buying this style of baits that he says the numbers are down on. I think we need to get out of the mentality of only pros are important when those guys aren't really making a difference in any fishing sales.

The only constant in markets is “change.” And I love how guys complain that it’s “hurting” the sport when the market doesn’t go their way.
What’s really interesting? This is the guy who is concerned about the sport of bass fishing yet he was hoping that BASS would completely fail and encouraging bass anglers to move over to the MLF..?🧐a bit hypocritical don’t you think?

🍺Randy🍺 is a pioneer of the sport also you should respect that. I don’t even watch your show anymore because all you do is cry about it. Let him speak his mind. You speak yours don’t sit there screaming and holler. Jeffrey talk to you to respect your elders 🍺Randy🍺 is your elder and he is a major pioneer of sport

In a bass fishing world of ridiculous statements, saying fishing will decline by 75% because of ffs might be the most ridiculous I’ve ever heard 😂

  • @terrytriton2265
    @terrytriton2265 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Lol. Finally their numbers are starting to change..FFS is killing tournaments.ive cancelled subscription to BASS and haven't watched a TV tourn since it started.yeah I still fish but I don't even follow the guys I've been watching for 30 yrs.

    • @STF68

Same for me. I was a BASS member, marshaled on the Elites and FLW for 6 or 7 events…. I have a Fisheries management degree. I watched every tourney when Live started. Now I rarely watch live unless they are fishing on one of the lakes I fish regularly. Just can’t watch the FFS stuff.
